ntblowz got a reaction from IronFilm in EOS R official video specs discussion
The name is still valid
EOS camera is still mainly a HD camera with 4k as afterthought, otherwise Andrew have to change eos4k or something ?

ntblowz reacted to Mattias Burling in Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless talk hots up
Nah its accurate. Believe me. Im a Sony fanboy and Fuji shooter. I review all of them.
If I review a Sony all is well.
If I review a Fuji I get attacked by Sony Fanboys.
If I review a Pentax or Nikon I'm attacked by Sony and Fuji Fanboys.
If I review a Canon... all hell breaks loose since even Sony Walkman fanboys attack.
I base this on receiving and reading 26 090 comments over the last couple of years. Just visit any forum and see for yourself. For example checkout the thread about the EOS-R on EOSHD.
After my 6Dmkii review I had to block some really vicious people that weren't attacking just me but also people commenting on the video.
And not about specs. We are talking threats and in general things that would lead to a punch in the face irl.
The weirdest thing was they weren't all anonymous. They actually used their business accounts...freelancers, production house employees using their official accounts...

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it

ntblowz reacted to Dave Maze in Panasonic announcing a full frame camera on Sept. 25???
Correct. It is
The thing that excites me about this rumor is the fact that Panasonic UNDERSTANDS the video game really really well.
I think they were caught off guard with the Phase Detect AF for video thing. When they started designing the GH5 I don't think it was that much of a need or concern. Now, in 2018...its become quite a requirement and I know Panasonic knows that.
The other thing that excites me is the fact that it will most definitely have all the video features thrown in it that we expect it to have coming from a GH5. Waveforms, high bit rates, max frame rates...(however it may be less powerful than a GH5 cause the sensor is so much larger and requires some serious processing and cooling)
BUT MOST OF ALL....it WILL have a flip out screen and we all know it will. Hahahaha.
This is great news. And I am glad its later in the year....that gives me time to make a bunch of videos about the sony a7siii, canon mirrorless, and Nikon before it comes out. Its spaced out nicely for my channel

ntblowz reacted to TheRenaissanceMan in Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
So, beyond all the Chicken Little reactions and a subpar press release from Nikon (creating a crazy echo chamber of negativity), what I'm seeing is:
-A well respected manufacturer with good qc and customer service
-Small mirrorless body with adaptable mount
-Full frame 24mp with clean 4K
-10-bit HDMI out
-Flat and Log profiles (basically the Nikon equivalent of CLog1 and CLog 3)
-A few essential lenses, with every logical core option already roadmapped
-IBIS that, by all accounts, bests Sony's
-Great battery life (more than 2 hours of straight 4K)
-Solid ergos, on par with other mirrorless manufacturers
-Natural color science without any major problems (blue channel clipping, greenish skin, greens shifting towards blue, magenta cast, etc)
-Integration with Atomos recorders for easy on set workflow
All baggage, brand politics, and bad press strategy aside, it ticks a LOT of boxes for me. Gonna be looking hard at the Z6 when it drops.

ntblowz reacted to Mark Romero 2 in Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
He makes a good point in the video.
If you compare it to other cameras delivering FF 10-bit 4K, then the Z6 is cheap. Very cheap. (Meaning, inexpensive, not poor quality).
My hope / dream / fantasy is that it will have all the dynamic range and color science the D750 had when shooting flat and nice 4K and great 1080p when shooting 8-bit internal.

Yeahy!
I received my Lukilink recently!
It is real, an actual aluminium black box.
The not so good part is that it already exists, and that it doesn't do anything for me as there is no software, and 1-2 apps I tried were keep crushing before connecting.
This guy says it all.
Glad that I received something of course, but feel sorry for people that bought 2 or more of those, or expecting something that works.

ntblowz reacted to Andrew Reid in Wishes for 10 years on from the birth of mirrorless
10 years on, Panasonic should really be leading things out front.
I don't know whether it is down to a smaller budget, or Panasonic upper-management not allowing total freedom, but it's sad that Sony and Nikon are out front when Panasonic were the ones to pioneer the entire market, at a time others were too scared to make the jump.
If anything dude, you are the one turning into a fanboy.

It’s easy tell who is Sony fanboy on this thread lol
Meanwhile I put the Olympus 9mm on A7iii to have some fun, I might get z6 and dump A73 when it is available to buy. Sony colour is still meh after using for a few jobs now, might get that ninja V too.

ntblowz got a reaction from jpfilmz in C100 - Mark I, Mark II, or just wait???
Yeah first time for me to hear the sensor actually get burned, unfortunately I did encounter Sony A7sII overheat and shut down on me.
This is the combo I use for event, unlimited recording time, full size HDMI out, long battery (well C100mKII battery is much longer with bigger battery), and never overheat whatsoever.

We shot event with live switch/live stream/live projection + QA with couple c100mkii and gh5s, works really well, full size hdmi out is a must cause I break so many mini/micro hdmi out cables in the past.
We also use 5D3 and M50 with C100mkii for some other shoots, they match really well together vs matching with other brand of camera. (like the GH5S and A7III I own).
I wouldnt do C100 on Ronin, too heavy and big for all day shoot, the 6D2/80D will be better for that, especially with touchscreen autofocus and fd and smaller size/weight overall. For stage event 30P is enough, i dont think i ever have to do a slowmo for those kind of stuff.

$2000 for a cinema camera that has XLR, cLog, DPAF, internal NDs, with a really clean 1080p image downscaled in camera from 4K... that cost $6000 new only a few years ago... yeah that’s dirt cheap.
