1. Selling my Elmoscope-II with Redstan front clamp and Redstan front adapter for HCDNA* for $780 + shipping. Same lens as Kowa 16-H, 8-Z and B&H. The Elmoscope-II is in good condition and produces beautiful images. +$90 for the amazing rear two-piece adapter (clamp) from Redstan. The rear glass shows some scratches and tiny specs of internal dust which can be seen under a light source (barely visible to invisible otherwise). The front glass is in perfect condition aside from a very small stain at the very edge of the glass that is barely noticeable. I haven't seen these defects have any effect on the image quality as I was able to get sharp and beautiful results from it. Willing to share sample footage. The Redstan front clamp fits snugly and is very useful as it gives a 72mm thread and the ability to attach filters. The Redstan adapter gives 72mm to 75mm threads, enabling you to attach the HCDNA very safely. DM or comment if interested! Cheers. *I am not selling the HCDNA. Will post new pics with the date and eoshd written on a piece of paper if I get any response.
2. Hi! I am selling my red Isco Ultrastar Plus 2.1 anamorphic projection lens with caps. In perfect condition. Stored very safely in a dry box. Known as one of the sharpest budget anamorphic adapters. Together with the Isco, I am also selling 2 Redstan clamps designed specifically for this adapter: rear clamp with 62mm thread (to attach the Ultrastar to your taking lens) and front clamp with 75mm filter thread. Redstan clamps are easily the best clamps for anamorphic adapters and these are solidly-built and fit snugly around the Ultrastar. Step-up rings are optional. With this combination, you are ready to shoot anamorphic! Selling it all for $499. Buyer pays for shipping. Please PM for more information or more pics. Cheers!
3. Hi, I am selling a Kowa 16-D anamorphic lens in excellent condition. It's an amazing piece of gear if you're into anamorphic shooting. It is very sharp, it produces wonderful subtle blue/purple flares (I usually dislike flares but I'm in love with these) and it has great anamorphic character. It is also very lightweight. The Kowa 16-D is in great condition. I bought it on Ebay this summer but I have barely used it and it has been stored very safely in a dry box. The glass is in pristine condition and the image quality is superb. Some signs of wear on the rear barrel but totally insignificant, especially since this part will be hidden behind your clamp. Comes with Kowa front and rear caps. I am selling it with a Redstan clamp with 52mm thread made specifically for this lens. Redstan clamps are known as the highest-quality clamps on the market for vintage anamorphic lenses. If needed, I can also include a 55 to 52mm step-down ring as a gift (if your taking lens has a 55mm filter thread). Finally, I am also selling an HTN adapter ring that can be screwed onto the Kowa 16-D to attach the Rectilux Hardcore DNA. Though never used, this is an incredibly useful piece of gear if you want to turn this set-up into a stable single-focus solution. Price: $370 for Kowa 16-D and Redstan Clamp +$35 for HTN Adapter ring (buyer pays for shipping) Please let me know if you want to see any video samples and I can PM you some files. Please also understand that this lens is smaller than the Kowa 16-H or Bell & Howell and could cause some vignetting depending on your taking lens and camera sensor. If you have any questions, do not hestitate to ask! Cheers.
4. I've just bought a mint condition iscorama 54 and therefore I'm thinking of selling my old Iscorama 54 MC lens since I likely don't need 2. The lens I'm considering selling is in excellent condition. It's a real beauty but somehow I was lucky enough to find a sparkling mint condition 54. I got lucky. You know this lens...it's hard as hell to find and it's even harder to find in top form. I haven't put up an eBay auction yet. I'm probably going to list the opening bid at $6000.00 (comes with redstan Clamp and form fitted follow focus gear). Yes, that's a lot of money. Yes, that's what I paid for it last year. Yes, it's totally worth it. It's a god damn gem of anamorphic perfection. All the other dual focus projector lenses are little kiddie toys in comparison. If you have a pre-36 and a 54 you simply don't need anything else (well, you need a baby Hypergonar and hardcore dna variable diopter as well but let's not muddy the waters). Who's interested? If you make me a legit serious offer I might be pursuaded to sell direct instead of on an eBay auction. Throwing it out to you guys first since this is where the real loonies like myself hang Let me know. I'll try to post pics soon but I'm not bullshitting you It's a great specimen and if you've been looking for years...you've found it finally
5. Hi, i'm selling a Hypergonar HIFI 2 kit with Redstan front & back clamps. The lens is in very good condition, the clamps are as new. It's in Paris but I can ship worldwide in a carefully protected package. If you're in Paris or happen to stop by, we can meet ! Rear is 72mm, front is 95mm. 400 euros without shipping costs. I sell it to fund other lenses... PM if you're interested...!
6. Iscorama 36 Nikon mount, in excellent condition. + Tokina AT-X Close-up (reduces min distance) + Marumi Close-up Adapter set (+1, +2, +4) + Redstan clamp $3,500 + shipping Here are videos shot with this lens: (whole movie is shot with MARK III + Iscorama)
7. Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a clamp for my baby iscorama/iscomorphot 8/1.5x. I've read that the clamp that redstan makes for this lens has been discontinued. So if there is anyone who is selling their redstan clamp for baby anamorphics, I'm looking to buy. I've also looked through all the forums related to anamorphics and I know there are several alternatives to mount that lens (f-adapter, step rings, etc.) However, there seems to mixed impressions on all methods. I've tried looking for a step down ring that steps down to a 24mm thread, but can't seem to find one. If anyone knows of the best alternative, that information would be greatly appreciated :)
8. Hi there - here's a link to download this test: http://vimeo.com/jaemorrison/iscorama54test01 I was interested in seeing what Apertures were sharp with different Achromats & Diopters. Rather than waste even more time cutting a boring video, I've just uploaded a boring image sequence for you to download and step through frame-by-frame. The Achromats and Diopters tested were: Redstan +.25 Achromat Tokina +.4 Achromat Voightlander Focar A Voightlander Focar B And some stacked combinations of the above. Apologies if the test isn't ideal (h264 certainly isn't) - thought it was worth sharing as I've learnt a lot from people posting stuff here. Cheers, Jae.
9. Simple, all-in-one lens kit for S35 and M43 sensors, I've shot many fun projects with this sharp and agreeable little setup. It's for sale now for anyone interested. Moving to SLR Magic Anamorphot soon. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for looking! Click here for eBay auction, demo video in description.
10. Hello all, I've decided to sell my Kowa Prominar 16-S anamorphic lens with Redstan clamps so I can upgrade some of my other gear. I'd love to keep it, but I'm not shooting anamorphic enough and I have other needs as far as gear. The lens is a 2x stretch and the minimum focus distance is 5 ft. Dual focus. Images are sharp. I've used this with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 and a Helios 44-2 58mm f/2. The images I've gotten from both lenses are very nice and I like them a lot. You'll have to stop down though to f/4-5.6 to get the images sharp. The back clamp fits this lens like a glove and has a rear thread of 52mm. Front adapter has a filter thread of 72mm and attaches to the lens via included screws. There is a little bit of internal dust as well as some markings on one of the front internal elements which has NO EFFECT on the image at all. Purely cosmetic. Pictures can be provided upon PM. Here's something I shot with it: https://vimeo.com/70602844 I have pictures available upon request. This is a great starter lens for anyone who is looking into anamorphic but doesn't want to drop a boat load of cash on anything crazy. $350 shipped for everything. Paypal only. Don't want to deal with eBay. Plus it comes with a sweet snakeskin box. Thanks!
11. Here are some stills from footage I shot this evening. I'll probably use it in the music visual for a song that I am writing.   Shot on GH2 with Driftwood's Moon T5 patch, through a Kowa 16-H, Tokina ATX 0.4 diopter and a Konica Hexanon 40mm, mostly wide open at f1.8.   http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157634273204895
12. -----------------SOLD---------------------------- Thank you !----------------------------------------------   Hi guys !   I don't need to explain how great this particular model is, arguably the best from Kowa.   Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my work , mostly TV projects, so it has been sitting in my bag for 6 months now... Before i decide to put this set on ebay, i'd rather make someone of the community happy ;)   -Kowa Prominar Anamorphic 16-H (2x) serial number 53695 (Purchased in Tokyo) As you can see on the pics, the lens is in great condition. No external scratch on the body, the glass is clear and the focus ring is smooth. With original front & rear caps.   -Redstan lens clamp (red) This is the model for the 16-H, a perfect fit (rear thread becomes 62mm) -Redstan front filter , perfect fit as well (front thread becomes 72mm)   For those who like, i'll give as present (not a big deal...) : -one diopter Kenko N0.05 (f2000) -one 72mm cap -one 49mm to 62mm step-up ring   Asking price: 600 USD (Shipping by EMS & insurance included) Please contact me -----------------SOLD---------------------------- Thank you !----------------------------------------------   .
13. Just thought I'd share this also on the anamorphic forum specifically. Gotta love the Kowa image!   http://vimeo.com/56519741
14. It is winter in Minnesota, and that means snow. There is nothing quite like the experience of a walk in the snow clad Minnesota forests. The soft snow and sharp cold winter air create a new extreme of quiet that can only really be experienced first-hand. The accompanying music can only hope to capture some of the mood. Shut out the hustle and bustle this holiday season for a relaxing 11 minute walk by the frozen Sunrise River behind my home.   http://vimeo.com/56519741
15. Hi, All! This is just some of my "practice footage" from late night (early morning) walks around NYC with my trusty GH2, 37mm Mir, Kowa, Redstan clamps and Tokina 0.4 diopter. Hope you like it. http://vimeo.com/55186577
16. Hello everybody, Redstan is out of stock right now and I don't know that they'll be restocking. I'd prefer one of the red clamps if possible. Also, I'm looking for a red front clamp and and a diopter to get a closer minimum focus. The closer and more clear the better. Thanks for helping if you can! Trey [email protected]
17. Here's a short longboarding video that my friends asked me to film for them earlier this summer. As always, I'd love some feedback! I'm still working on my grading skills with Resolve Lite, and on my grain effect, which Vimeo still doesn't seem to be capable of encoding properly. Panasonic Lumix GH2 | Standard Firmware | Mir-1B 37mm f2.8 | Kowa 16-H Anamorphic Lens | 72mm Lightcraft Workshop Fader ND MKII | Anamorphic front and rear clamps by Redstan
