I´ve been using the Rokinon for video only and was never disappointed. Like most of the Rokinons/Samyangs they can be a little soft wide open, but @2.8 you get the best of both worlds. Sharp and detailled Images with smooth bokeh.

Hmm. thanks for the update.  After seeing this video, it does look pretty soft wide open.

Have you looked at the FW279 since it's bright enough to be seen in daylight?

The one in the pictures is the Pixi 4 which is £30 on Amazon.

Its not exactly state of the art when it comes to phones but its perfectly adequate for this or the 3C app as well.

This is a great idea. Any recommendations for a small, easily mounted to body but still usable Android device?

Supposedly, 1-2 months from announcement so that makes it Early Sept-Early October. As to what's inside, all I've heard is anamorphic and a level line.

On my phone, I couldn't tell the difference. 

On my big ass 40" monitor, the p4k footage looked like the 5dmkii.

I keed, I keed.. 

That side by side from altizer was surprising to me how much better the 6k looked. 

The latest Blackmagic cameras has excellent UIs, for sure

Sony A7SIII with BRAW would be amazing

The funny thing is that as soon as this new camera was announced, all the hurt feelings about BM stripping CDNG evaporated. BRAW it is then!

This can only mean that another Viltrox adapter will be available soon.

Competition would be a good thing. Maybe we could convince that BTM Pix guy to do something. Lol.

Once that MetaBones BM one comes out, maybe Viltrox will get their shit together and make a better version to compete.  $700 is kind of out there for an adapter.
