Hi, even if I uninstalled the new HEVC extension, i can no longer load those H265 files into Resolve Free.  Just based on what I've Googled, it looks like others have run into this issue as well and they were able to fix it by going to the full Resolve Studio.  

I guess it's time for me to bite the bullet and decide which one I'm going with, Premiere or Resolve.

Ah, it's funny that you said this.  As soon as I bought and installed the Microsoft HEVC extensions, all my H265 files in Resolve now read 'Media Offline'.  It was working fine prior to it.

Now, I can't get back to where I was last night. I'm guessing there's no way to fix this except to buy the full Resolve version?

Another newbie question if you'll so indulge..

My system is struggling to playback the H265 Long GOP 4K files. Looking back on this thread, someone mentioned that QuickTime worked great but this is no longer supported on Windows. Any suggestions?

Also, for editing, does Resolve or Premiere do a better job with these H265 files?

Just got the camera today and went through a bunch of online setup and tutorials but having one issue..

How do I get the recording levels (i.e. audio meters) and the exposure indicator to appear on the screen at the same time?  It looks like if you enable large indicators, you only see the exposure indicator and you lose the audio meters. If I disable large indicators, I only see the audio meters. 

I saw a video where this guy had both (see attached).  

Any advice?  Thanks!

Just following this interesting thread waiting for my camera to arrive.. 

You guys still going down the Flog route or is HLG the way to go? I've seen some good side by side from camtheman and the hlg looked great. Any new info since this thread?

Just to be clear, are you saying the 16 or the 18 is quicker and natural looking?

Do you find that recording at 400 Mb/s is worth it? If my calculations are correct, that's 15 minutes of video per 64gb card.

If you guys will indulge me, I have a couple of other newbie questions:

1. I'm getting the 18-55mm kit lens, primarily due to the OIS.  For you guys with the 16-55mm, was the autofocus difference between them substantial?  How else do you feel about the kit lens vs the 16-55mm for video?

2. What gimbal are you guys using with the XT3?

Ah, that's a pretty big caveat. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like an external monitor is in the bag now. A shame that it's not fully articulating.

Ah, that's a bummer. I guess the best thing to do is to just capture it using whatever color profile I ultimately want then. Thanks again.

Does the remote app allow touch focus? 

Also, if I were to record in flog, are there LUTs to convert to the fuji profiles like Eterna, Astia, Classic Chrome, etc.? 

Speaking for myself, I would buy the shit out of a Fuji XT3 with flippy screen.

Sony just has to add a flippy screen to their next model and I'm on board too!

Hi, thinking about this camera but bummed about the no flippy screen. Is the remote app usable? Are you able to touch focus with it?
