Also noticed that osmo pocket price was drastically cut. I think DJI realized that given the choice, customers will buy this one.

Lots of videos but I think this dude has the best, comparing the Hero 7 and Sony FDR with the Osmo Pocket Action. It's pretty clear to me that the Hero 7 has the best image quality (sharper, not as contrasty).
-
Looks to me the image stabilization and front selfie are the best features. Image quality is not as good as hero 7 black though.
-
Video looks pretty good, especially that CineD, similar to Osmo Pocket's I guess. Also interesting that it says that there's an internal gimbal and electronic image stabilization.
I hope it fits all the GoPro mounts and there's a great remote app.

It's a little funny to me that GoPro tried to enter DJI's territory and almost lost their ass with the Karma. So now DJI is returning the favor by trying to enter GoPro's territory. Haha.

A ton of different GoPro competitors but when you stack them side-by-side, the Hero 7 Black has better image quality than all of them.

I bought that dude's LUT. It's great.

Speaking of IR and the Pocket 4k... talk about perfect timing!
Test starts about 4:30 in.

If I use an ND filter (which I am planning to do anyway) is there less IR, or it is completely irrelevant?
If I have to use ND, do I have to put ond of those aforementioned filters before or after the ND?
IR is always there but when you put on an ND, it cuts light except it doesn't cut IR. So when you do that, IR is more easily seen by the sensor.
I use the SLR image enhancer and put it in front of the ND.
There's a post somewhere with John Brawley saying that the Pocket 4K has an IR Cut but it's slight as to not affect image quality. So BM is leaving it up to us to decide.

^ this guy edits. Always surprised by how much he knows.

Oh yeah for sure but try saying 'problems should be expected.' and 'taking orders now' in the same sentence, much like what happened on CNBC. Lol.
-
CNBC just had a segment with one of their reviewers whose phone broke after 2 days.
Not the kind of press Samsung would want. Lol.

Way to go, Fuji. Keeping your word and improving the camera once again.

I have this one with the handle. I don't trust the ones with springs when you are talking over a 1,000 dollar phones now. And it comes with long and short rods to hold the wide or narrow phones. Damn well made on top of it. And the case is a nice touch also. I have used the heck out of mine, no problems.
Thanks for the recommendation. How does that attach to the gimbal? Another mount?

Hey fellas -
I'm looking to mount my phone onto a gimbal with this app to start/stop/adjust focus. Can someone recommend a mount? Thanks!

If you're a results oriented person, I think your rules list runs counter to the biggest YouTubers out there. Perhaps you meant this list for Vimeo?

If I had a YouTube channel I would be making as many resolve tutorial videos as possible right now. There will be a demand for it soon I think.
That's how I learned Resolve..watching Casey Faris.

Don't know about y'all but that Gudsen Slypod is cool AF. I want one.
-
Well..Sharp did get one thing right. Vloggers really need flippy screens. But they also really need stabilization.
All I want is the perfect camera. All I want is the perfect cameraaah!

Installed Resolve 16 beta and got a lot of black screens working BRAW files. I think I'll go back to v15 since it's working and let this v16 stew cook a little while longer.

I can see Tilta's version now. It'll be lighter, cooler looking because it'll be available in colors like Tactical Grey or OD Green. It'll cost $150 but you'll spend $75 to ship it to you from China since they'll be backorderred for months and you can't wait 1 month for it to arrive via tanker.
DJI challenging GoPro?

In the above video, check out the side by sides at 10:39 and the audio test at 12:20. The GoPro looks better to me, more detail, less contrasty.
