I first heard about this from my teen/pre-teen kids (like most new things online TBH).  When I asked about it, apart from them eagerly showing me some videos, they mentioned that they didn't get the sensation, but they sometimes listened while falling asleep.
There is an entire genre of cam girls (in Japan IIRC) that will have dinner with you.  There are lots of lonely people in the world, and they are more likely to die than people who aren't lonely.  I'm not saying that people who make these videos are saints or anything, but it's probably doing more good than harm, and doing it in a way that society isn't dealing with yet.

This topic will be the last place I will be looking for information on the pocket 4K at this point, Its got 130 pages of speculation, requests, wishes, complaints. But no actual user feedback or footage. So I am stunned that people are all of sudden complaining that it got a bit off topic, while John's insight is probably the most valuable information you can find in those 130 pages.

I am run and gun; sticking with the MFT Sigma 16mm F1.4 and 30mm F1.4.  I don't need better focusing. Will probably just keep the Sigma 60mm f2.8 with me too for occasional use, or it's forthcoming successor. I think there is some in-camera correction though with these lenses, so maybe the 16mm will just have to be tested before settling on it for sure.

Olympus 45mm f1.8. You get a bit extra bokeh because the focal plane isnt flat at the sides (I think the Lenstip review talks about this, they have compared all options in this range). Mine had a slight yellow cast as well which made images look better straight away. It is well within your budget and the bokeh is smoother than the 42.5mm f1.7. But the latter has OIS. Try them both in a store. The Panasonic is a bit sharper but the bokeh a bit busier.
Also try the Sigma 60mm f2.8 which has a similar depth of field (depending on distance).  The 60 is not too long, ridiculously sharp for the $200 price and has nice smooth bokeh. The 60 is less easy to use manually and bigger, but once you see the sharpness you will probably accept that.
If you want sharpness and subject separation I would get the Sigma. If you want a smoother more filmic look get the Olympus. I think someone compared the Olympus to the f1.2 version and said the bokeh was the same smoothness, obviously just not as heavy.
If you would consider manual: 7Artisans should come out with a M43 version of their new 35mm f1.2 soon (it is on B&H as back order). It is out of stock in many places so they may be doing a big new batch and I think they may add M43 on. The focus ring isnt the smoothest but it is shaped nicely making focusing a nice experience. These types of Chinese lenses often come in M43 mounts and often have clickless aperture rings. Their brand new 50mm f1.8 has a M43 version and looks nice, but the 35mm f1.2 is so tempting and apparently a pretty sharp lens. Feels really solid and is tiny for a f1.2.

Nobody has used the word SLRs in 15 years. ? You have to be 100 years old LoL. And when I think of a bridge camera it has a Zoom on it. If not it is a fixed lens camera. And that does not harken any thought of a bridge camera to me.

And Every one of the examples on Wiki show a camera with a zoom lens that has a huge range! You conveniently only read the first paragraph. Nobody on here relates a bridge camera to something that used film, Nobody. Hell you must be 30 years older than I am to think that LoL. ?

Samsung has joined forces with Fujifilm to develop sensor technology and says it will apply the new innovation to a large sensor.

I like my 28-70 FE kit lens and it is a lot better than some people think and if the trip calls for small(ish) and light should work.      I would see if you can try the new Tamron 2.8 first though for those extra stops at the long end (and around half a stop at 28mm).

I always carry a zoom like the 24-105 or 24-70. Travel is different for everyone, but I do extended trips to multiple destinations so my kit needs to be versatile.
I've been to 55 countries in the last couple of years, lots of incredibly dusty environments in Africa, SE Asia, India, South America and Central America, I rarely changed lenses in the field. But a single FL is pretty limiting, even with something like a a7r3 or a crop body as a backup. I carry 2 bodies, 2 primes and 3 zooms -- I decide what I'm going to need before I leave my room for the day and outfit each body accordingly.
Even in those situations I occasionally changed lenses, but I was smart about it - turn the camera off, body facing down and so on. I also carry a blower and sensor cleaning supplies because even if you're not changing lenses sometimes crud still gets through - especially if you're shooting native Sony lenses since they don't put any weather sealing gaskets on the rear of their lenses.

Some of the shots taken with telephoto end (100-200mm) seems pretty impressive
It could be F4/F4.5 with ISO 3200/6400, quite usable?
wish it doesn't overheat after 5 mins though

Ive mostly travelled with a 35mm equivalent lens for the last few years. But for the last week while I've been in Hong Kong I've been using a 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 and loving it. The combo is a lot bigger but it's not actually been all that bad, even in such an intensely dense city as Hong Kong. In fact I've been considering buying a 24-70mm f2.8 whilst I'm here

MacMurphy reacted to eoslover in The XZ2 Premium smartphone is the king of lowlight
When it comes to video, it can shoot upto ISO 12800 and currently the only smartphone that can do that.
The main camera has a large 19 MP 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor, f/1.8 lens, and 1.22μm pixel size. The secondary snapper is a 12 MP 1/2.3” monochrome unit to boost low-light performance. The lens is f/1.6, while the pixel size is 1.55μm. The secondary camera works together with the main camera to improve image quality.
This is a very unique feature and requires a much faster AUBE fusion engine to do the whole process
The performances are shown below (in a very dark indoor environment):
as compared to Huawei P20pro and S9+:
So far it looks like the low light shots are pretty good.

Finally Sony does something unique in their smartphone lineup, it also comes with a 4K HDR display and High Frame Options upto 960fps.
The downsides are the size, weight and some may find the design looks a bit old fashion.

MacMurphy reacted to CyclingBen in Fuji X-H1 Firmware Update 1.10
Finally did the update for the new X-H1 firmware yesterday.  Here are my first impressions:
Autofocus in AF-C is leaps and bounds better.  My test shots on some birds and physically walking up to and away a moving subject were very good.  Using the 16-55mm zoom lens it was able to accurately track my wife walking around the yard watering plants while I slowly walked from one end of the yard to another. Auto ISO transitions are super smooth and almost imperceptible. While I rarely use the Auto setting for video, it's nice to know I could use it in a conference or presentation situation and be okay. IBIS is slightly improved.  Using the fuji 16-55mm, a 45mm minolta and 55mm super tak I didn't find as many huge jumps and shifts while panning.  I'm sure this will be the focus of their next update. The overall system stability seems to be worse.  I had 3 write errors happen while just messing around with the camera. All three happened while shooting in manual with peaking turned on.  I'll be testing this more. Here is a link to the firmware if you're looking to upgrade
    http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/x/xh1/index.html
Overall a really good firmware update, looking forward to the '2.0' update that is rumored for September

Not sure if it was posted already, but this might interest some, a 20 minute interview with Bob Caniglia of BMD. A lot of it is quite obvious and standard questions, but they do talk about choice of a few design elements. Audio options, recording media etc.
SPOILER: Perhaps the best info comes right at the very end, Bob is proud that BM haven't charged for an update to Resolve in a decade. If you bought the software in 2009, you can still update for free to Resolve 15. I remember some people weren't sure if they can update from v.14. It also likely means that people who buy the camera will have Resolve for life - certainly a lot cheaper than Adobe's suite ?
