  1. They could be going away from that route, I hope not.
  2. Yeah I am hoping they go the 4k sensor low MP route.
  3. I've seen some nice looking videos too, but consistency in real life usage is probably not there. We'll see when more reviews come in.
  4. I agree its a great camera especially for their first full frame. I can understand it from a photography perspective but for their video centered GH cameras they really need to get on the phase detect band wagon.
  5. Its got 4k 60p, 444 and internal ND's tho. I am more interested in the BM Ursa 4K cinema camera with the global shutter.
  6. EOS R is kind of a no brainer if you have Canon lenses and don't need 4k. Other wise if you want 4k with no crop the S1 is a great option or the Nikon Z6 for something more affordable.
  7. too late I got one? damnit I believed that!
  8. Its definitely a very tempting camera. That reviewer you posted was a bit harsh on it though.
  9. Do you own the pocket? I was implying maybe the person sharpened it in post. I don't know though I don't have an eye for spotting this type of thing.
  10. True but that goes for pretty much any camera. Most cameras are offering log now and people think that is the way to go.
  11. You sure its not processing rather than the codec itself? I don't know man 4k RAW at 1k is not a bad plan to me.
  12. Yeah these are heavily used for video. Cheapest "cine" lenses you can buy. The reason I opted against getting them was manufacturing inconsistency. Some people seem to get great copies that do really well wide open while others not so great. But in general they are a great option, especially considering how cheap they are. 13. No doubt the S1 is pretty awesome. However the OP stated Canon specifically. Its a given that a high end Canon camera will have A+ auto focus. Panasonic kind of dropped the ball not adding phase detection. There excuse about it degrading image quality seemed pretty far fetched. I've never heard anyone not buying a Canon camera due to the DPAF causing IQ problems.
  14. dang dude nice work! If you do one for the XT3 I'll definitely consider it. If it matches well with the GH5 it would be a great way to use both cameras without worrying about color matching.
  15. Yeah it pretty much is a full frame GH5 with the update. Would be nice if HLG wasn't capped at 72mbps as there isn't a big need for the Vlog update if it wasn't.
  16. The question is it better than just doing Flog to Arrilog
  17. Fuji is going to be the first to deliver most of what you want except no full frame. Unless Sony beats them to it or maybe the 1DX MK3
  18. Internal Prores would be my dream for Fuji.
  19. Electronic ND will be a huge bonus.
  20. says 12 bit and 14 bit RAW unfortunate Still in comparison with an EVA1 its $2500 cheaper and does internal RAW as well as maybe prores and at a higher resolution. The XT3 sensor is really nice if its the one being used. Wish it was $1000 cheaper but for what you get its really not a bad price.
  21. Internal ND's are a must. Would be nice if they threw in an SD card slot as well for lower bitrate recording. The awesome thing about this camera is the recording options. RAW as well as H264 and H265, and Prores(I assume they will put in Prores as well?) 4k 120fps would have been a really smart move even if it means making the camera larger.
  22. Sigma already has a lot of nice full frame glass, it was a good move.
