Great video deezid! This video is so good in so many ways that is surprising that the first thing that cross the mind of some ppl is that "the blacks are crushed". If thats the first thing that someone wants to say about this video its says more about "you" than the maker (or the piece). Even if i think that the blacks should be "less crushed" (wich i also do, but thats not the point) thats the last thing i think after i saw i video like this. But hey....thats me.

Atleast consider what you need to do the work into the equation. Your camera wasn't free when you bought it, and it would probably cost you to rent if you didn't have one. Storage and an editing pc isn't free either. Neither is travel, royalty free music, lunch, software, etc... You'd also want to charge some for future investments too. How are you going to afford, say, a new lens through work if you spend all your money working? You'll quickly find these things really add up... This they should atleast cover!
If you're doing it for free you're practically throwing away your hard earned money & devaluing video work in your area, which in my opinion is totally unacceptable.

You beat me to it!  I was also going to suggest a cheap base rig with rails with this one that has adjustable height on the camera platform.
 
Op, you might as well get a cheap rig such as this that additionally gives you rails to attach a matte box or lens hood, a follow focus, etc., if you ever want to use such items.
 
On the other hand, you could also just slide the camera to its most forward position on the Manfrotto 502.

They're from a user of this forum Kidzrevil. He uses tiffen filters (black pro mists and black satins) on his G80 and the image looks great. Check the Lenses thread also, it has some examples of it.

Thanks.  I do, still think, using real names vs anonymous names keeps people held accountable for what they say, and therefore, less people will go to more extreme comments. They can't hide behind their avatar as easily.
But yes, you are right, there are still some people who can get really heated on there.
But compared to 4chan and twitter, where racism and antisemitism and mysogynany is allowed to thrive?  Language that is extremely painful and inducive towards real-world violence like Pizza Gate and now Charlottesville where a protestor was murdered?  Would people here been able to do all this when their names are known.

The only reason for the deletion of a thread is if it contains hateful language, and or harassment towards a user including threats of rape (for instance, user offering to give me a 30 ft hose and a golf ball in this thread alone), death threats, and personal attacks.
Upon deletion, it is good form to alert the user why the thread was deleted personally.
That's what a good, mature human being would do.
Your actions to me in handling that thread, and now this one, leave me to make judgement that you are not mature enough to handle the responsibilities of moderating, and I hereby ask Andrew Reid to renounce your title.

The amount of harassment I have received in this thread alone would be grounds to having a new moderator step in.  One, who, Andrew has said, allows interesting discussions to happen and doesn't like posts that contain swear words directedly personally towards a user such as another victim @Axel, who also, probably doesn't appreciate this.

Steven Soderbergh does that very often. Directs and also does the cinematography. Just imagine that....it must be a very hard thing to do  Imo you should NEVER do that. The same way a director should never edit, but hey....whatever works for them 

Thats one of the internet problems nowadays. Everyone has always something to say...something to add to a certain topic but the reality is that thats not true at all. Society as brought us here and keep forcing us to do that (to post something, to write an opinion, to share your own life and so on). And in most cases that results in posts and dialogues with insults and etc. Thats why i rarely post on facebook and although i visit eoshd everyday i dont respond or post a lot simply because i dont have anything to add in terms of knowledge.

That place used to be cool.
The comments on the page and their facebook have been so toxic lately that there imo is absolutely no point in having any sort of discussion there. There is not one single article, about anything that's not met with nothing but hate. It could be an article about world peace and everyone gets mad and want war. No moderation. At least the articles where decent imo. And then they started to slip, click bait, bad fact checking and so on. The latest example was the success story that Leica has gone so far into the green that the investor that holds a minority share of 45% is ready to make a return and become rich. Some bogus bloggers made up a story about it and that's what NOFS is reporting. Not the original content from a credible news agency. They are actually speculating that a bank selling a share with no money passing through Leica would "save" a very profitable an growing company... sigh. And that's just one example. Normally I don't get to upset but I actually liked NOFS. I thought it was a great blog. But lately.. I don't know. There still is alot good stuff and fascinating articles.
Forums have been on a steady decline for a few years. The whole positive video movement is long dead imo.
But there at least was the blogs and this forum is still on the up-n-up if you ask me.
I don't really know what my point is, just venting.
Lately I have accepted that its mostly just the "Ass-Burgers" left online (wrote a blog about that a year or so ago). The pros and artists are out shooting and the rest have moved on to other hobbies.

This blog and forum I think is the only place where creativity and art can coexist with the charts people.
But its a battle, I see the scene in 300 where they are pushing them out of the passage with their shields.
Sorry for the rambling. Like I said, just venting.
