I found the ipb to be quite jittery in motion and the All-I had a buttery motion to the eye. The All-I is easier to edit too. It reminds me of the mjpeg in character.
Could have been a frame rate setting issue, but those additional MBs make a hell of a difference from my experience.

Beginning to get the feel of this camera. It's a beast. Something I am going to avoid doing moving forward,  is watching alot of these cameras reviews from these so called experts. Nothing beats your experience with a cam.
For me, this camera is the best bang for £.
I hate rigging cameras , unless necessary.  I have kept my setup light. LP batteries and Lens with a hot shoe handle.
The images below are from a shoot I dod recently.
    Set up:
    1080p pro res Hq 24, 60 and 120
    Tamron 24-75mm 2.8
    Iso: 800 and 1000
Shot in film Graded in fcp x
No lighting setup, just the fluorescent bulbs from the gym.
When with the green tint for the look. I am a canon fan boy so, I want my colours to be rich and pop.

This camera is shockingly better than I expected

    Thats a super impressive update.
Been very impressed with the BMP4K.  I am still shooting at 1080p 60fps with it.(Quick workflow) I think it's the best bang for the buck at the price.
I am still trying to work out it's sweet spot. But I think its between 400-640 iso. Thats where I have had the best results. This update pumps some more sellby date into this cam.

I agree with a loy of the article.
BM cameras still have FAR to many issues to be considered for prime time paid work imo, I believe the GH5 is a better option.
The EOS rp is literally just a full frame SL2/SL3 lmao

Dunjoye reacted to Danyyyel in Nikon Z6 To Get Internal Raw
People are crazy, in 1-2 month when they bring out the update and there is no internal Raw, many will come here and say how they did not win an Oscar because Nikon did not put internal Raw in the Z6. One thing I would recommend anyone, you can get a refurbish z6 for 1350 USD. Just add an atomos Ninja 5 to that and for barely 2k, you are getting a full frame 4k camera, that does not have some of the best ergonomics but also out of the box color and video autofocus (forgot IBIS). The Ninja, will give you a ton of other features that make it so much more than just a recorder with a plethora of Focus and exposure tool.
Now until Nikon comes out with the price of the RAW upgrade, I cannot be sure on the RAW camera cost. If we speculate it is between 200- 500, you might get a full features FF raw video camera for less than 2.5k. If someone told me that we would have such a camera one year ago, I would have called him crazy. But you will have a bunch here that will always be complaining. If ever that internal RAW comes along as speculated on this thread, it will be in an uncompressed form, good luck working with these gigantic files beyond the cat footage and wife driving car.

It’s no surprise really. Canon had no reason to upgrade their consumer cameras with 4K. Sony and Panasonic had a vested need for 4K material. In the end, the demand for 4K won and Canon was left behind. Back in the 80s, Canon gambled with AF and it helped them, this time... DPAF hasn’t been enough... no matter how good it is.
Of course, IMO, Canon has been so anti-4K that they have painted themselves into a corner and now with this 24p fiasco, if they ever have any interest in the consumer/prosumer video ILC market, they will have to start offering more.

Also explains why there products are littered with bugs.
Doubt they even have a QA team over there
The way people go on like canon cameras shoots .3gp 240p quality. Never understood people who's say canon footage is unusable..
Dont get me wrong there are other competitors pushing the boundaries for video, most vlog content I come across on YouTube are mostly shot on canon. This dslr video market is smaller and more fickle than we think..

I'll admit, Canon still seems to have the best color scientists on the planet. They may be floundering around in their selection of popular products, but when they do so get something out, the color balance is usually better than the competition.

Is there still an appeal for ML hacking? I just feel like alot of cameras  have caught up. Although no dslr is shooting raw at the moment but the margin in trade off is getting shorter.
Not sure what people are really looking for in canon cameras these days. There message as been clear from day. You either shoot on the C line for video or DSLR for pics

I see GAS all over the place. Happens every time a new product is released. If anything it will help keep the companies afloat ? (this comment is brand agnostic). As long as BM releases better products at low prices (even if I don’t buy them) it’s a win down the road.

Dunjoye reacted to kye in 6K RAW is over-rated. Here's why...
This isn't click-bait BS, let's actually talk about why 6K RAW cameras aren't really needed.
    I see two main reasons:
Many cameras already shoot 6K downscaled to a 4K output (and the GH5 even has a lower-processed 5K anamorphic 4:3 mode) so the resolution benefits of 6K debayer resolution for a 4K delivery are already being enjoyed by many people For those who are claiming you need 6K to reframe for a 4K output, it is likely you don't know what reframing actually looks like There is a third reason - that resolution has absolutely nothing to do with how good your film is, but I'll just assume that people who are desperate to get more resolution are probably not yet ready to hear this and I'll move on and pretend it somehow matters.
Much analysis has been done of the 6K -> 4K downsampling cameras, so I won't replicate those conversations, but instead let's look at the reframing argument.
If you're shooting 6K to reframe and get a 100% 4K crop out, you can reframe into the image up to 150% .  ie, if you want to match the same re-framing with only a 4K source, you must scale up that 4K source to 150%, effectively using a 2.5k source.  It sounds terrible, and despite people repeatedly saying that ARRI cameras capture at 3.2k and upscale to 4K (a 125% upscale) people still dismiss upscaling out-of-hand without actually knowing what difference this scaling makes, and being too lazy to actually test it themselves.
So I did it for you....
I look forward to people arguing their point in the face of overwhelming evidence....  ???
That is, unless you're delivering in 6K and also want to re-frame heavily in post, but seriously - who would be doing that?

I almost wonder if BM functions day to day from the money they make from preorders... joking.
I actually think this is a strange camera release and they’re banking on the desire of enthusiasts and up and coming filmmakers to drink the Kool Aid. If I’m being honest, I’m almost offended that less than 2 months ago, people were still waiting for their pre-ordered P4K and then they release this. Also, what does this camera do to Ursa sales? I’m sure a lot of folks were planning or considering a jump from the P4K to the Ursa and now don’t have to.
    Interesting.

    This is dope.
However, I think this is way too soon and I worry that they could make the 4k obsolete  very soon. Even though I haven't owned it longer than 7 months. Is this the pattern they are rolling with. They are knocking cameras out way too soon for my liking. Bare in mind the 4k was suppose to be future proof.
Anyhoo looking at the image I cant really see a significant improvement. I have fallen in love with the 4K and I think it's a gem as long as you shoot within it's sweet spot.
Personally this is meh. I can't see the appeal for an upgrade but having an EF MOUNT is very ideal .
