Even for the intelligent adapter with af?

It: intendo l'adattatore con fuoco automatico ed apertura controllata dai comandi.

At first he told me (see previous post), but since then nothing. I also tried to contact him privately on dpreview.com but even there he did not answer. I continue with my work, however, it goes very well, I hope to have a pre-set ready by the beginning of August for the NX-Nikon adapter system, which, in addition to providing me different information on the operation of SB lenses, it is cheap compared to an intelligent system.
I can say with certainty is that the system is very sharp, and coupled with fast lens offers a beautiful Boke.

Hi Pavel, do it yourself you can not do it.
it's complicated. You have to cut crystals and build the adapter body with precision machinery.
The Canon Fd has the "distance of the flanges" minor compared to Nikon, this will surely result in smaller distance between the sensor and speed booster lens.
The lenses with Nikon mounts are economically more advantageous than those with Canon EF mount, the Nikon mount also offer the manual iris control advantage.
Nikon, Sigma, Tamron, Samyang offer a wide variety of lenses with Nikon mount. This is undoubtedly a big plus, and a great start.

Lucabutera, stai facendo un intero post su questo SpeedBooster? Posso aspettare, ma ho un sacco di domande ;). È così fico

Hi Liam, Yes, I'm working on it. I need a week to post the work and the first Nx Speed Booster adapter.

Thanks John, It depends on what you want to achieve and what you are willing to pay. The film makers prefer manual control, this is possible with Nikon mount, this does not mean that you have to use only Nikon lenses, also sigma and many other brands use Nikon mount. You imagine the Samsung Nx1 With speed booster and Sigma 50mm 1.4 DG HSM Art lens...

  4. Before I embark on this adventure, I have asked all the manufacturers of photographic adapters in the world. Metabones he said he was not interested, so I asked what the problem was, but they replied: "No. Unfortunately, it is not possible to fit the optics inside the Samsung NX mount flange distance owing to interference and physical issues".
I later contacted Mitakon but did not respond, so I tried with private constructor, it has tried so many tests, but failed, successively I contacted two other manufacturers of adapters, initially they said they would try, then I have never responded.
So, disheartened, I resigned myself for a long time ...
This, until, was born "Samsung NX Hack" it to rekindled my enthusiasm and so I decided to resume my project and I try with my knowledge of mechanical engineering, and today are well advanced.
No one is interested in producing an adapter for an off-market camera. Only passion and love for the NX system can give us the strength to work on it.
I thank all those who do not abandon this camera and I hope one day we can do a Samsung NX1, 6k Raw, Full Frame with Smart Adapter.

    by necessity, born virtues.

I would wait on Lucabutera. I guess that he somehow stitched together Nikon-NX adapter with optics from Mitakon Speedbooster or Zhongyi Lensturbo... we will see :-)

Hi Pavel, Sure! I got it from focal reducer lens system on the market, but I could not install it on an existing adapter, if it was that simple, they would have done! I had to build a tool for finding the correct position of the lens (focal distance flnge), I also had to make changes to the lens and body NX100 camera. My first experiment was only to see if it would work. The second step was to understand if no changes to the body it would work. This is another success, the spaces are tight but it works perfectly. I started the third step now, the SB Adapter construction for Samsung NX1! (Work on Nikon lenses because I can manually adjust the aperture, but I tested it also with M42 lenses, and with bayonet mount).

Lucabutera.  If you get a "smart" adapter to work on the NX1, put me down for an order.  That's genius!

Sorry, I do not have electronic knowledge to build smart adapter. But I think that, in the future something like Aputure Dec or similar is possible.

    Kickstarter anyone ?

Hi Kidzrevil, first of all, I thank you because you have put together a Samsung camera enthusiasts. I soon, when I'm done with my testing, I will begin a Kickstarter for the construction of the Speed Boster NX. At this time it is premature.

    From @NXKS2

Removing crop-factor and custom resolutions on NX500.
... it appears that we can control the crop factor (remove it) and even have custom resolutions, by controlling the EP_Resize registers. As you can see for NX500 all non-crop simply have the same value for the scanning and output (ex VGA), where the crop modes have one scanning resolution and another for the output (ex DC). For removing the crop, we don't even need to recalculate values, just repeat the input to output value. However setting those is a bit trickier than expected....

If this will work on nx1 I can not wait to try it with mjpeg!!! :-D

new footage of the nx1 at 180 mbps. I wanted to see if I could get the camera to display macroblocking with high motion scenes but fortunately I was unsuccessful. I graded it to taste of course and used the super 16mm grain to cause it cuts back on sharpness. I can't see myself shooting without the bitrate hack to be honest it's amazing

Nice Job! Can you tell me how you've got this old film look?

    Best

I put the NR theory to the test.

my theory is the -10 sharpness is actually smudging out the detail creating the NR look. You guys can test it out yourself  but I am using -5 sharpness now and the image is...incredible.

Very nice look! How much bitrate?

does anyone have a link to the latest version of the kino seed hack ? btw 200mbps seems to be the ceiling for this camera and I am fine with it. 200mbps looks fantastic and is completely changing my opinions of the camera and even my workflow. 200mbps is an absolute nightmare to edit and I recommend those struggling to run those files on their system to transcode to something like dnxhd 422 and edit those. Some may not see a benefit because the rendering of the image is relatively the same in terms of image processing but upon closer inspection I can not find any macroblocking even shooting handheld in high motion scenes. Detail is preserved in each frame minus the smudging, artifacting and macroblocking people encountered when grading the footage, converting to a LOG color space etc.

when uploading footage to vimeo (especially pro account users) I recommend exporting to cineform. It preserves a lot of detail

    thought i'd share
