Well, once the installing process means to screw the magicbooster anyway, the process can always be reverted at any time, isn't it @lucabutera ?

I assume that reverting the process will still leave indication of tampering ... so probably worth waiting till the camera is 9 months old or so ... warranty almost gone anyway.

First of all, I apologize for the delay with which I reply but I am very busy and I will be so for a long time.
The new Magicobooster for Pocket 6K is similar to that of Ursa Mini Pro, the internal support is replaced with a threaded one, the IR filter, unlike the Production Camera, Ursa 4K and Ursa 4.6K is installed inside in a support of black round aluminum and construction to be replaced, this means that Blackmagic has planned to replace the IR filter.
The very positive thing is that the Magicbooster will be installed inside with a threaded body and it can be easily removed whenever you want.
For the warranty, it will depend on the user's technical capacity.
If you follow the instructions correctly and leave no signs of tampering, the warranty will not be invalidated, otherwise even without using the Magicbooster there may be cases of damage not covered by the warranty.
In any case, the Magicbooster will not damage your camera.
    Thank you.

Ok this is interesting! How, where, when and how much?

Still in love with the Production cameras image and constantly hover it on classifieds. Seriously cheap these days.

    It says €499.

I see it sitting in an URSA as well. Does it work in other EF cameras (non BMD) as well?

    Only BM cameras.

    "€899.00"

Ouch, tough to see ever buying it at that price. Is roughly as much as a BMPC4K is worth in late 2018!

Why 899??? Where do you read this price?

I am using Film Convert some times, which need specific settings (normal or DR), but I had great results, especially with sunny outside scenes and landscapes, with VIVID  -8 sharpness, -4 saturation, -2 contrast.

Black at 5, and lately, with normal and vivid I leave the SmartSomething On (I do not remember the name! That thing that adds some dynamic range, or not!).

The camera falls apart after 800ISO, which is the only complaint I have, and the reason that I am buying a new video camera (PK4 maybe), and next year (maybe) changing system.

@lucabutera are you going to sell more NX adapters?

Is it possible to adapt NX lenses to other mounts? A speed boosted m43 would be amazing and a huge market for you.

Imagine all the hundred of thousands of NX lenses in the wild, and no modern cameras at all. It would be a huge success, you can sell hundrends of those, maybe even thousands. Imagine 1000 adapters X 500€ = 500.000€ in 3-5 years!

    Easy question and difficult answer.
    1) NX lenses do not allow the installation of a Speedbooster between the lens and the sensor due to the short focal flange distance.
    2) One could think of an electro-mechanical adapter similar to the Techart but it would not allow automatic focusing but not iris control.
    3) The costs for the production of an intelligent adapter could assume an adapter cost of around 1000 euros.

Are you going to tell us more about it? I am not on FB, by the way.

Lately I've been devoting a lot to the Magicbooster for Blackmagic cameras.
NXL production is limited to only 10 pieces.

I got the camera a couple days ago after reading Andrews post. I wanted something to replace my Black Magic pocket camera for these old Zeiss s16s super speeds set I have . To put it bluntly, I’m not getting the results . The first two shots on his video sold me on it. Didn’t even watch the rest.

I’m used to shooting with a red dragon so maybe I don’t know what I’m doing . But, I can’t get the stabization to work very well .

Thinking of returning it on Monday . Sad, because I really love these lenses and would really like a viable s16 camera. I also have a Zeiss

    s16 10-120 which is awesome to shoot with . Small,  light weight and s35 its a 20 240 f2.0 . I also like the s16 look.

I had just watched The Wrestler the night before and that was shot on s16 so, that probably influenced my purchase as well.

If you find "Best setting for OM-D E-M10 Mark III" you can found many video to fix and adjust the stabilization problem.

Well I have looked all over for DR on the mk III and the best I can find is for photo, and even that is pretty low. SO I would bet the Video DR on it is no better than 10 tops.  The new iPhones and the Samsungs all had a DoF thingy now that works pretty well. Low light, we are not talking A7s stuff here with a m4/3 sensor in this camera. I think, to me it is a no go. Pass. Hell you can't even make a phone call on it. ? Sure on vacation you can throw it in your wife's purse and away you go, but to use on a daily basis, nah. Phones have Really gotten pretty damn good.

I do not agree. I have a Samsung S9 plus 250gb F1.5 diaphragm, 4k 60fps, h265 codec with Filmic Pro. Reading reviews, right now is the top of smartphones, but I would never dream of saying it is better than this camera.
I do not even see a good reason to use my phone instead of this camera, maybe to want to be good, the restaurant is more discreet to use a smartphone to take a picture of food :-)
This is a great professional pocket camera, the Olympus is famous for never losing a single shot, and for this price, there is no comparison with a smartphone.
At least, until we see what Red Hydrogen will do ...
