As an old stills shooter, I miss the big pixel CCDs looks.

I need to learn this timecode stuff. I have a GH5 and also use a Tascam DR-70D, the Tascam doesn't have timecode.. While I haven't found it too difficult to sync the audio in Reaper, I'm guessing using timecode would make it flawless? It would also make me use my Zoom F4, which I have sadly yet to use.

As far as I am aware, X-Trans is a CFA on top of the sensor?

IDK, for me a top display is mute point. I cannot see any of the tops of any of my cams when my tripod is fully extended. Though, from my 5DMkII, it is a very convenient, and often used feature to use otherwise.

I'd like to use it somehow, not certain for what purpose as yet, seems overwhelming...

I have been using and enjoying my ADATA 256 v90 card that I bought last year for use with my GH5. Although, I see many other people had problems with, and all the other v90 cards. Anywho, where are the Sandisk v90 cards?

I don't need a professional rack mount unit, something simple, portable, and with no degradation of the signal. I guess it will require power... Cable lengths souldn't be a problem, though I know it's a cumulative effect. I am shooting high school football half time shows, so I will be very close to the equipment, right next to it.

Has anyone tried an HDMI video switching unit? Any to recommend? I was thinking of taking the feeds from two cams to an HDMI switcher and feed the selected video to an external monitor. Anyone done this?

Go for it! Though, with Fuji, they update often, and the prices drop pretty significantly. Shrug, go for it! You only live once!

I see, If you want a digital stills cam, I would recommend the Fuji X-T3. I love my X-T2, and the occasional video from it is nice too.

I have many "artsy" anamorphic closeup stills I have taken with my GH5. I have other non anamorphic stills too. I don't post photos as I used to do. People WILL steal them. Google search has found them on anime sites, tattoo sites, one in a catalog even! I will have to look in my history files, but I know I have many from my ol' GH4 also. Oh, I have yet, and probably will never, purchased any m43 glass. I have way too many options available as is. Shrug, I don't really understand all of this, no, I haven't read every post. Is it about sensor size, resolution? As I have MANY excellent photos from my old Kodak SLR/C. Uhm, even from my 6x17 pinhole camera, and ALL the other film body systems I STILL have. I don't sell, I accumulate...

I hope the new NVENC is better than the current one in ffmpeg. The current ffmpeg one is unusable.
