That is where having a Physics degree will benefit me 😉
As expect it would be lot easier for me to follow along, as I already know the various timelines, and I already know nearly all the main characters involved in this.
Because it's based on physics history, The Manhattan Project after all was one of the biggest ever physics projects ever! (if you ignore space related stuff, as their costs are obscene, then The Manhattan Project is I think still the most expensive ever! Although, with the projected costs for ITER, then it might be higher in the end by the time it is finished)
So anybody with a bit of interest in Physics, and has studied Physics, would be very familiar with The Manhattan Project.

You, Ironfilm and me, three time travellers stuck in the timeless Lumix G7 thread by Andy Lee, reading his comparison with an Arri Alexa, then buying all G7 cameras we can get for our money, reading it again and buying even more G7 cameras and reading again... Time management and travelling, and cyclic GAS impulses, what a weird world of photo-video-sound nerds we are living in 🙂 @kye

It’s pretty obvious from that side to side that the first pic was taken in sunshine and with the second, a cloud had passed over so if this is the only evidence for any color difference, the clown show is in town.
But I haven’t watched the videos and I’d expect some with them having different sensors and one being FF and the other APSC.
    Same or different lens?

This is something I find as well. When I first got an editing computer at home (MacPro in the miniDV days) I had dial-up so would only check emails on a separate computer. Later when I got ADSL and could connect more than one computer I decided that it was too distracting and kept the edit computer offline and used the other one as the general computer, email, web browsing, etc. That was good for a few years. Then the laptop got too old to run some new things and I ended up making the MacPro the single computer for everything so it had to be online.
Big mistake, way more distractions. Say I'm in the middle of concentrating on a scene, there's all the subtle things you have to notice in the footage to make creative decisions that you have to muster up, then you get interrupted by an email coming in.
Another thing is when things get tough it's natural to avoid it but you have to force yourself to stick to it and figure it out. When distraction is easy you can avoid it easily. You can tell yourself that you're just taking a break but a real break would be not involving a computer (going for a walk, etc.)
I read about how David Lynch meditates every day and has for decades. This might be why he's so prolific.
(I also have a theory about the increased diagnoses of ADD in young people. Maybe they're just normal but living in a time when their environment is more distracting than previous generations and to manage.)

But if you are Christopher Nolan, you don’t have to be on social media to tout your wares because everyone in the industry knows your résumé.
And you can afford to fly to Ireland in your private jet to hand deliver the script to Tommy Shelby in person.
I was asked last week if I could drop in to Bordeaux next week to meet a couple who might be interested in using my services.
Yeah, 15 hour round trip driving so 2 days for a zero commitment chat. If they even turned up… 🤪
But otherwise no fan of social media myself, other than for 2 purposes.
    A. Not having the status of Nolan, touting my wares to prospective punters.
    B. Sharing pics with friends & family.
But I could happily live in a world where social media did not exist.

Of all the high-end jobs I've worked on using Arri's, not one of them was shot in raw. And I've never shot a single raw clip on any of my ZCams. You'll get a much better end result by spending extra time focusing on production design and lighting than you will by switching in to raw mode - and bigger productions know this.

Prores is good enough for 95% of professional use (or 99% if 4444 is available). The people here who complain about any new camera that does not shoot raw are out of touch with reality.

I saw a few video, including one  quoting Gerald Undone among a few other people. And most of them recorded those cameras at 24 degress and lower (indoors I am guessing). And still overheating in most cases. In direct sunlight, and at 30 degrees, they would definitely be more susceptible to overheating. Since @backtoitwould use them outdoors for his Vlogs.

You are correct, the ZV E1 is not the camera for 1.5 hour clips. It will overheat. Are you sure you can shoot continuous high bitrate 1.5 hour videos on an fx3 with its small battery?
You can also hold the camera, lens and gimbal for 1.5 hours?  It is not a light camera, and full-frame lenses are big and heavy. Perhaps a reason to go with a crop camera like the fx30 - smaller lenses.

Find someone that loves you the way Sony loves releasing cameras that overheat.
I'm sure there will be people that defend it (there always are) but it's unacceptable that it still happens, regardless of the price.

I think we'll continue to see more third parties join up now that the S5 II has been a success, though Tamron likely won't be one of them given Sony's ownership stake in them. That's a shame because Tamron is among the most intriguing lens companies out there for me, given their cost to quality ratio.
I think it will get better with time. I wonder if they'll be able to improve the AF on L-mount bodies as an official member of the alliance, as in theory they might be able to get more cooperation from the other companies in the alliance vs. Sony, who just let's them reverse engineer their mount but doesn't seem to cooperate with them.
Either way, it's a good sign that they're making lenses for the mount.

Good news for people shooting with L Mount cameras ! Samyang has some good to great lenses which are typically cheaper than Sigma or lenses produced by camera manufactures.

Compared to what you are used to from all those years ago (or compared to your iPhone) then the the Sony FX30 has spectacularly amazingly jaw dropping incredibly gorgeous low light capabilities!
People who complain about the low light of the FX30 being "bad" are just spoiled brats who 1) don't realize what we had to struggle with just a few years ago 2) have never touched a light in their life 3) have never used a cinema camera before. (which are often rated at a much lower ISO than what a FX30 can do, even though they cost many times more $$$$$)
Also, because you do a lot of filming while walking / hiking, then you'll really appreciate the lower weight of the Super 35 / APS-C lenses vs the heavier weight of the so called "full frame" lenses.

As "full frame" is what is being discussed, I'm naturally referring to what's commonly normal standard focal lengths for photographer.
Of course for sets of cinema lenses then what is normal is completely different.

    750gm?? Are you crazy???
My OCD will accept 700gm or 800gm as being acceptable, but 750gm is a totally unacceptable weight for a camera.
