​How can you possibly tell how many stops of dynamic range in the scene just from looking at a raw still? Most high-end professional DPs can't even do that.
​Or instead of using ETTR, he could've exposed for his subject and let the window's exposure fall where it may. The BMPCC has a nice enough rolloff to just let it blow. I'll never understand why people prioritize the windows when they're shooting indoors.

I too am very curious what the crop factor will be for 4K . I'm hopeful that they'll return to doing a pixel mix on the sensor, but for 4K this time. That way we can get lower noise and a lower crop factor. Noise will also depend on this 20MP sensor, though. If it is indeed Sony's, I'm pretty hopeful. Their 20MP 1" sensor is amazing, given its size, so this should be even better. Granted, some of us in the past haven't cared for the colors/motion cadence of Sony sensors (like the GH3), but time will tell with this one. 

I really doubt it will have VLOG, but I hope that stabilization actually works in video. Also, why did they move the focus mode selector so far away from the grip? Now I won't be able to reach it with my right thumb. Strap lug placement also looks like it might dig into the right palm, but we'll see when it comes out. 

If they do this anything like the GX7, initial price is going to be high. Over $1000 for sure.

If this is using the new 20mp sony 4/3 sensor then it will have much faster sensor readout and can easily support full sensor readout at 24/25p and possibly 30p with 16:9.

I'd suggest it is a bit of a stretch to compare the XC10's footage to other Cinema EOS cameras that shoot 4K like the 1D C I champion and the now available C300 Mk II...
Just because it has a Cinema EOS badge on it doesn't mean it is going to match up in post to the 1D C.
And certainly doesn't mean it will have a better image than the RX10 II...

Depends on what you want to do.  I wouldn't recommend necessarily making a wildly dynamic food video "just because."  If it fits what you want to do or are hired to do, sure... but there's something to be said in making a video that's a bit more timeless and classic too.
I don't do extreme food cooking like I'm base jumping of El Capitan, so that commercial looks a bit silly to me personally.

Would be cool to have something like the Atomos Ninja 2 that would do 4K.
The Blackmagic Video Assist seems pretty decent, but something even more basic/smaller with less focus on monitoring, just something simple that offers sweet 4K recording at competitive prices without having to go Atomos Shogun/Convergent Design Odyssey7Q+/Video Devices PIX-E5(H) you know.

I really liked it. Great tension, nice shots and sequences, good sound!
One thing I didn't like so much: the slomo shot at 1:06. I think it breaks the pace of that scene.
The slomo around 1:40 fits better (because of the sound), but maybe it would be better to end the running scene with the slomo instead of speeding it up again. Just a thought, not sure how that would actually turn out.

Hi Julian, thanks for the feedback. I agree with you 100% but the thing is this was a favor for a friend so naturally I had to include all the shots of his daughter's team to full extent haha. Thats why those odd long shots are there. I would say he's some sort of a client even though he's not paying me or anything. I also agree about the engine sounds but I just couldn't get a consistent track together because half the time I was too far away from the riders to capture any decent volume sound and the slomo mode doesn't capture any sound on the GH4. If I had enough time to edit I would've sort of faked it with sounds from other shots but had to edit in a day. 
Anyways really appreciate the comment and your honest opinion. It's really something I value as most people don't care enough to be honest about my work. Thank you. 

You've got some pretty cool actions shots in there. Mostly in the 2nd half of the video in my opinion. I really love the shot at 2:42!
Overall I think it is too long. I don't like the intro. Some of the slow motion scenes are boring (when nothing spectacular is happening, slomo is just annoying).
And I want to hear those engines scream...! Even if you didn't record proper audio, maybe you can try to put some of the internal audio under the music?
I think a shorter cut, with just the action, only the best shots, and some engine sound, would make a pretty good action video.

I agree that the answer can be 'get anything'. Even if you would do a lot of considered or sophisticated shooting. You can do that with all of mentioned cameras.
Figuring out which camera you want is something you have to research for yourself. Each one has their pros and cons. Read reviews, view sample footage, read more reviews, try them at a store, think about what you want, what is most important to you? (4K, slomo, interchangeable lenses, handling, ergonimics, battery life, sound, accessories, etc, etc...)
And yes, put the G7 on your list too

​There's no singular answer.  They're all good.  It comes down to what kind of footage/style you're trying to get.  If you can articulate that, then you can get some really good advice here.
(Not from me though, but from other folks that seriously analyze the IQ stuff.  I tend to believe it's how you use a camera, not the gear itself.  This opinion of mine is in the minority so take what I say with a grain of salt.) 
At any rate, I tend to believe if you can't articulate in detail what you're trying to do, then the answer can seriously be: "get anything." This would be because you're not likely not going to be doing much considered or sophisticated shooting anyway.  That being the case, just about any new camera will allow you to grab some pretty great shots.
Except Fuji.  Don't buy Fuji for video.  Even that IQ is too lousy for me.

But, I'll tell you what the other forum members told me (rightly so). Try Panasonic DMC G7K. In my opinion, best video.

Considering your limitations, I think you did a good job.  A6000 is probably one of the best little HD cams.  Slo-mo looks good and used sparingly.  Color grade works for the gritty feel.  Pacing seems good too.  Didn't feel like 5min film, felt much shorter.  Good thing because this could have dragged like some other short films.  Sound is good and gives a good sense of unease and the whole "apocalyptic" feel.  I think you had a good sense of what you wanted, and then shot it very well.  Edit, sound, music is all good!  Be nice to see it made into a 30min short.  Maybe on the lines of the STALKER PC game or something.
