Yes...but they also weigh 20+ lbs, so you have the weight on your shoulder to keep things steady for handheld...IBIS effectively turns the GH5 into a 20lb camera without the weight...as for image degradation, early concerns expressed were that the IBIS would cause excessive heat which makes the sensor noisy...heat is clearly not a problem for the GH5 series...I've not read any thread that claims to decernably prove that IBIS degrades the image on either the GH, G or GX camera series.

Click it three times and it opens up full size in another window. Pretty darn amazing.
Did you want the product placement?

This is not advertised for normal circumstances, rather, extreme circumstances. I believe it crops more, yes. And yes, wait for the reviews of a release version, if it is ever released.
A lot is from interaction with the company over many years with great periods of no communication or false release info or status. New people are coming on board and there is literally zero difference in status or videos from many years ago when first put forward and the old guard have given up.

If you select Rec Quality MP4 HEVC ("TV or recorder that supports hybrid log gamma is required") on the GH5, then the available options become 4K 72M 30p and 4K 72M 24p.
This is different from selecting Hybrid Log Gamma as a photostyle and using the 400M all-i codec, but it still counts as "4K HDR recording"

Micro vibrations to the sensor cannot be taken out by anything in post. IBIS and gimbals have really decreased this a lot. Steadxp just routes external motion data through onto an audio track through the mic port. Unfortunately andrgl doesn't understand it, or the long history of this company that I have followed. I'm sure you've heard many people say to avoid using electronic stabilisation on cameras. Just don't bother

It's really not. Terrible crop which raises artifacts. Only software solution in post and I bet they are using normal frame analysis as well. This cannot fix any sensor jarring. This is based on the assumption that motion sensor data that they gather separately and send through the mic input can improve on electronic IS on board cameras which themselves use motion sensor data actually on-board PLUS other types of post involving picture analysis. Both of which involve less picture degradation. Also this was never aimed at the cinema crowd, it was funded on the basis of small dslrs and action cams. If they are changing that then it shows another failure. Mercali, Warp, Hyperlapse Pro, NewBlue 5, and of course, Reelsteady are clearly superior. I really believe steadxp is a gimmick and borderline something else.

The shadows crushed to black on the suit are particularly distracting, otherwise very impressive. I think it would benefit from tweaking those levels to be compatible with the majority of monitors. The camera manual explains the significance of the luminance options for play back. Shoutout to the actors, magnificent.

I agree with @Orangenz on this...it's very easy to do...I have a little Olympus TG5 where you can only trigger video from the movie button and it's always user error on my part....(1) there is a way to test for this...stop and start on the camera at home until you fill up the cards..3 second clips...trigger record from the main shutter release button, not the little movie button....if you can repeat the problem, you can contact Panasonic...(2) this is perhaps the most important....roll for a few seconds on EVERY take before action....that's what was done in the days of film when 5 seconds cost real money, but it allows sound to sink, everything to get up to speed and most importantly, you get to see that the camera is running properly for that take...it's good practice on any shoot and you get the take every time.

You do not  dissapoint in your never ending ways of seeing a negative in Panasonic? Or just the GH5s?....so instead of Panasonic being the first to deliver 10bit 4:2:2 internal recording in a hybrid 2000 camera, you turn this into a must develope feature by Panasonic to make up for their failure in Vlog with the GH4....I glanced at a thread on the 5DM3 and ML once....a video clip in which the banding and rolling shutter was so bad as to be unusable IMO....as I have no interest in the camera, I saw no reason to comment on it....do you want a GH5 or do you just want to hate it?

You can shoot 4k 50p in cine-d with a unified LUT to match vlog at 25p 10bit. For the price though one could go external recorder for those shots that required 4k 50p 10bit vlog.

Adobe have decided to save a few bucks and get rid of their built in Dolby audio codec, so that the latest, worst, I mean greatest Premiere relies on the god-damn OS for critical things like the sound track on your AVCHD clips.

Adobe are presumably being run into the ground by complacent bean counters who think a monopoly and a successful subscription model is somehow what we voted for.
