Got my hands on Red Komodo to test for a few days. I'm impressed.

Sooner or later EVERYONE is in trouble I think.
I just got an old Australian photography magazine from Feb 1988
I opened it to a random page and it was
"Video news" The three stories listed....
    Sanyo Vision-8, 8mm camcorder
VHS-C- The future of video cameras
Polaroid aims to be Number one.

Seems like the most unnecessary camera release ever!
A7 III is just fine at affordable full frame prices.
And they want $2K for this ugly monstrosity?!
Wouldn't A7000 make more sense for the name as well.

That's my workflow. i'm using the Sigma adapter for low light interiors if needed. And even with the fotodiox, no problem when cranking up the iso to 4000 (the second native ISO of the S1H and S5) if I am in the rush.

The only issue I have with this built in ND filter is outdoors, great, but in low light...
Well it would require a second adaptor with no ND for indoor/low light.
But otherwise, a very interesting option and I'm at least considering it...

Well I have done an about turn which went from initially being interested in the S5 to less interested to moving to it as my primary stills and filming workhorse.
In 20 years, I have only made one brand switch and that was 9 years ago from Nikon to Fuji.
Now it's Fuji to Panasonic (S5) + Sigma (FP) and all being well, a pair of S5's.
There's enough there to convince me it will suit my specific needs and do 'more' than my current Fuji system can do.
Pre-ordered the S5 (just one to start with to make sure with my own tests it suits my needs) with the 20-60mm 'kit' lens for initial testing before relegating that lens to wide angle duties, plus the bonus of a free Sigma 45mm f2.8 which will be going on a used FP when I have the funds in a month or so to buy one.
'Holy Grail' camera? Nah... Canon R5 without heating issues and maybe even R6 are 'better' as is the Sony A7S3 and undoubtedly the A74 whenever that pops up. And maybe even the Nikon Z6S, but all things considered (and there are many things unique to each of us), I think both this camera and the entire 'L' system are going to suit my needs very well for the next few years.

I bought it straight from the Fotodiox website, it was the last item in stock at the time I bought it. I did'nt see any color cast but I didn't go to the max maybe I will need to make other tests. But I don't think there will be as much color cast as with some circular NDs i have. In my very quick test I didn't see any.
I will put it mor to the test in the few weeks coming. For now I'm really happy as it will come really handy and will speed up my shooting time when outside on a low profile.

Exactly my thoughts as well. I prefer using Panasonic or Canon and Canon really blew it with the R5 and R6 for video shooters (I also just don't like the ergonomics and design of their RF mirrorless cameras). The C70 looks really interesting, but not sure it will be any better than the S1H, which is my favorite sub $15k camera/image I've ever used.
But I have been reluctant to go full L-Mount due to the lack of a smaller camera I can use as a B-Cam and as my photography camera. But with the S5 and a small 24mm and 50mm coming out soon (hopefully by end of year?), I'm pretty stoked to have the S1H/S5 combo for the next few years at least.
Now an L-Mount, full-frame EVA-2 needs to come very soon.

So I took the plunge. One Panasonic ambassador told me about an interesting offer with a shop in France. Besides the Panasonic offer with the Sigma 45mm offered for free, this shop will give you 3 years more warranty + a free battery. I thought it was a good deal so I pre-ordered it. I am pretty sure I would do it as I need another body to complement my S1H but this offer made me purchase it right away.
So it should arrive by the end of september/beginning of october. I will put it through its paces as I have some interesting jobs coming along, especially one shooting a documentary for the french national television service (France Television) if it is delivered in time.
So I'll give you all my first feedback really quick I think.
Pretty excited by this camera as it is the one I was waiting for in the L-mount system : a smaller camera than my S1H that could still shoot awesome video to match with the bigger brother, being quite smaller to be my B-cam/gimbal cam, also my main stills camera, and one that I could bring everyday to shoot some street and mundane photography (without the hassle to release the S1H from the rig/cage between pro gigs) and one camera that I could take on vacation without sacrificing any quality in stills picture and video.

indeed, thank you very much. They recently started asking for double delivery in Greece, 1080 and 4K, even though there is no 4K channel! Maybe they are thinking slightly ahead, which is surprising for anything Greek!
Was that so difficult for Canon to offer these settings to the C200?!! Sorry for the off topic.

For video I personnally super 35/APS-C is the sweet spot. I really like micro 4/3 too for video. But I can't really appreciate taking stills on a crop sensor. For now I only use mirrorless bodies for my stills business and for my filmmaking business (except when I need to rent a certain camera for a project). But if I would buy a proper video camera, I'm pretty sure I'd go for a super 35 camera like the C300 MkIII  for video and keep a full frame camera for my photography.

I am getting goosebumps only by thinking this. It’s the only established company right now that prioritizes usability and reliability on low cost hybrids. I am going to buy the S5 and ignore the R6 and whatever Sony will announce this month.

Z-cam is also in trouble.. interesting to see Z-cam use the same chip powered by Huawei phone... is that why they can do 4k 160p on the same sensor as bm4k & gh5s due to brute power of their cpu?

They're all relatively wide shots, so not too taxing for IBIS. As long as you're using it to steady handheld shots, like here, I'm sure it'll be fine. But Wong's videos show that it's just not a substitute for a gimbal in the same way that a GH5 or S1 might be - if you really need to do a walking shot but don't have a gimbal.
I'm impressed by the highlight retention in the market scene - mixed light, low light and garish light sources that tend to blow out are all handled nicely and it looks very natural.
