What the hell is this video, @Andrew Reid? This is not at all how to make a Youtube video. Here's what's wrong:
You need to start it with something like: "Hi guys, this is your boy Andrew here with EOSHD" You should have pink and teal background. X-mas lights at a minimum. Shallow depth of field? Everything's in focus! Where's the mic? You should be eating that thing! Think 25-30% of frame. Where's the obligatory Squarespace or Skillshare ad? If you can't get that, you should be at least pimping some software like "Cleanmymac". If you're going to talk trash about Canon, you should at the very least put some links to it on Amazon in case someone accidentally clicks on it. NEVER tell others what you actually think about product(s), certainly not after using them. You're just supposed shamelessly promote them or trash them, regardless of any usage. Focus on the specs primarily. Your thumbnail needs to have some super-inflammatory phrase (in yellow) with your mouth wide open. Here's an idea: "HASSELBLAD GETS DESTROYED? Plus, I lose my SH*T!" Finally, you look far too normal. Can't you shave your head or get a tattoo on your face? I'm sure there are more things wrong with this video. You've got to love Youtube nowadays.

We need Pocket 2S with 1 inch sensor. They can just stick one inside from Mavic Air 2S, its pretty good. And give us its 5.4K recording as well.

12,800 is too high for a native ISO.
You will be shooting at base 640 boosted to 3200 or 6400 most of the time in dim light or indoors.
Therefore the A7S III has a problem especially in S-LOG 3.
The files look a bit shit.
They are noisier than the EOS R6 and Panasonic S5!

    From Panasonic's Official Press Release:
"Providing 4:2:2 10-bit DCI 4K/60p recording capability, the LUMIX GH6 achieves unlimited video recording when the camera is used under the certified operating temperature. It is reliable enough to record continuous footage for a desired duration. It also provides a 10-bit 4K 120p High Frame Rate (HFR) and Variable Frame Rate (VFR) for high resolution slow/quick motion video. Moreover, the GH6 records 10-bit 5.7K 60p video by taking full advantage of the newly developed Micro Four Thirds sensor."

I shared the photos of literature of the new 20MP M43 sensor of Sony (IMX472) because I suspect the GH6 will have equally quick readout speed or one that is extremely similar, even if the resolution different is 4-6MP. Which is about Double of the GH5, being 12-bit Full Res at 120fps. I am guessing the GH6's sensor will have a similar 12-bit 120fps at 4k, but Panasonic will limit the bit depth to 10-bit, either to protect the S1H and EVA, or because of the absurd Red's patent for Internal RAW recording. If its the 2nd, Panasonic should Create a miniature the  Yagh module, with a 1Tb SSD, 5G antenna and an SoC to create lossless compressed RAW.
I am very curious to know whether the GH6 will have higher dynamic range and better highlight handling and noise pattern, and by how much. Apparently, the low light improvement between the GH4 and GH5 is about 1.5 stops, though the dynamic range difference is only 0.2 Stops according to DXOmark(though the GH4 is extremely noisy in most ISOs according to some users). Noise itself (at SNR of 2), may make the dynamic range difference a lot more. Maybe if the noise is a lot more controlled on the GH6, the video dynamic range should be a lot more (?)
Would also love to see a Video Recorder in the GX7 size with the 20MP full Res 120fps sensor (with 10-bit video at 4k 120fps), with a multi articulating screen like on the S1H and EVF like on the GX7. With great AF and great IBIS, it could be a great camera for Vloggers and Guerilla and Emerging Budget Filmmakers. It could be a good addition to the GH6, possibly with slightly better low light capabilities.

Theoretically, if anyone does 12-bit RAW, with a colour correction, or something else baked into the codec, it should not quality as RAW, when compression ratios are con concerned. Even if most manufacturers have their own version of RAW, with varying colours.
    Or
If, there is an element of partial de-bayering within the camera itself, no matter how minor.

I feel Panasonic can CIRCUMVENT this shady Red Patent (reminds me of the stories regarding how how hundreds of Tesla's patents were stolen and registered as someone else's, back in the day), by having uncompressed RAW out, and then compressing it in a tiny module attached to the camera (like the original yagh module, but Much Smaller). The sole purpose of the module, apart from extra battery and memory like mini SSDs, could be for having a compassion SoC (they could throw in a 5G chip for direct broadcast or cloud storage). Compression post recording should not attract any kind of the shady Patent application issues.

The HDR is simultaneous dual-gain readout of each pixel, it's for stills mode only.
Quad Bayer for this sensor is 2 x2 OCL for each pixel for cross-type on-chip AF.

Google's trackers for analytics on visitor numbers I will probably likely remove this weekend.
With Cloudflare I can keep an eye on traffic demands on the server via their CDN (content delivery network) and save bandwidth too.
With every free service like Google there is always an advertising or metrics related catch, i.e. we end up selling them our data.
    PS
If everyone dumped shitty WhatsApp and Messenger, and instead used Signal we could do one on the social networks too. Let's hammer this subversive advertising industry.

Yeah I hope to shoot again in 2021, as 2020 has been a dud shooting wise. Allthough 2020 was not a bad year for me, got way more time for the family, got to work from home saved me a countless hours of travel/traffic/getting ready.

I do kinda agree with Tom Cruise though, I think you would be pissed off as well, if you are investing millions into a movie, changing heaven and hell to work around the virus and then some people neglect the safety rules, which could end up shutting down the movie, putting a lot of families in financial trouble. I get annoyed as hell from watching TV where the speakers are not respecting the covid rules. Sitting too close togheter, not wearing any masks etc. Its not that hard.. Dont do it for yourself, but do it for your family, your friends, the healthcare, your job. Each infection has the potential to create a new lockdown, its a vicious circle. If everybody just took necessary precautions we would already be out of this mess.

When in the future an even more super deadly virus breaks out, I will not wait on the goverment or anybody else to take action, as it turns out A LOT of people are unresponsible (including friends, family, coworkers, goverment,...). And the only option is to isolate yourself completely. I don't want to sound like a prepper nutjob. But I think everybody can take their own conclusion about human kind in general.

Well they had it coming... WB did not kill anything... Nolan did. as well all the top actors and top director...Movie budget are getting completely out of hand.. Nolan took 20 million salary for tenet. How can that be justified? Top actor are paid tens of millions. Now, the last time I wanted to go to the cinema, probably 18 months ago, the tickets were £15.50 for their so called Imax experience... So 31 quid for my wife and me. imagine if we had the kids!! Well enough said... We simply didn't go. not because we can't afford it but because it's insane to spend such an amount to pay for a below par experience. the last few times I have been to the cinema in the last 5 years they were 10 to 15 people max in a 300 seat cinema... What experience is that? my suggestion... Bring actors and directors back down to earth, pay them decently.. make good film with good script and story for 25 million max, put the cinema ticket around £6-8, and I bet you that they will fill up again... or go on spending 200millions on some crap with high price ticket and the 20th century fox and the others will follow in the footstep of WB...

I think it is extremely dangerous to live in an echo chamber of only knowing people who already agree with you and reinforce your existing biases.
    a) you're referring here to lbry.tv, not LBRY. You should go to Odysee not lbry.tv by default
    b) you're referring here to a video produced by a journalist Tim, who is a self described liberal and has backed the likes of people such as Bernie Sanders. I'd say it is a ridiculous stretch of a claim to say he's an extreme right winger.

Now, Tim is not saying these videos are proof that the election results are wrong and Biden lost, in fact Tim multiple times says and stresses this is *not* definitive proof that Trump won.

What do you think Tim as a journalist should have been done instead, do you say this is a taboo topic that we may not discuss whatsoever illegal electioneering behavior? I strongly disagree, if you care about defending democracy and maintaining a high level of confidence in election results, then you should embrace discussing and bringing to light cases which undermine the fair election process. As you don't want to encourage that and let it get worse for the next election cycle. You're better off working on getting this stopped now, before the next election.  People need to have confidence that elections are fair and anything illegal/irregular will get cracked down on and not simply ignored to then be brushed away under the mat.

Anyway, bringing the focus back to discussing YouTube itself, let's look at this published paper I randomly stumbled across about "right-wing echo chambers on YouTube" because a friend shared it today. Here is what the math and a study says, to quote the abstract:

Tim Pool was one of those original Wall Street Protestors and citizen journalists, he's been around for a very long time. Worked for VICE too as one of their journalists (described by even VICE as a "lefty" & "progressive"). He's backed Bernie Sanders, and voted for Obama each time. Just because he's disappointed in the direction the Democrat Party has been going lately, and is willing to call out B.S. when he sees it, doesn't make he some kind of "crazy extreme right winger". He's at heart a lefty.  The world needs more people like him, folks who can see the perspective from both sides of the political divide and work with all sorts of people rather than driving us apart.

That "stickiness" is why they can fairly efficiently move over to another platform if they get booted off, which means in the end booting them off hasn't really accomplished anything.

Granted the Mac Pro might not be for mass consumers, but there's a much wider market than just filmmakers. And It's not actually a niche product; it's just a high-end version of a product nearly every home and office uses. Any professional who needs a powerful desktop for any reason might consider it. And many more people with more money than sense will go out and buy it simply because they think "it's what professionals use and I want the best". The real genius of Apple products is in the styling and marketing, not in the design or features.

It's worth noting that if Apple put out a cinema camera they would likely not be able to include ProRes raw recording internally - they already challenged Red's patent in court and lost.

And being Apple, they would probably have a proprietary lens mount with very limited, overpriced lenses. You would have to buy an ipad or iphone as the monitor, there would be no headphone jack, the audio inputs would be some new proprietary type, everything would be touchscreen only, and the mounting threads would be 1/2" instead of 1/4" so that you have to buy a special Apple baseplate for $2499 just to put it on a tripod. Plus it would probably have an internal media and an internal battery that cannot be removed and which does not last for a full 10hr production day (and the charger would be sold separately).

Apple are the last company I would want to see release a cinema camera.

But then you'll fall into the same problem as mainstream media has fallen into, why do you think they've declined in appeal over the years?

Individualized feeds is a *good* thing.  You don't want to see all the Cycling Racing videos that I see in my YT feed, neither do I want to see all the videos about cooking or painting (in Mandarin! Which I can't understand at all) that my girlfriend sees in her YT feed. Her YT feed on her laptop and mine on my PC look radically different, zero overlap.

Having an identical ("curated") feed pushed onto everyone is also a dangerous path to go down as well, if anything, that gives even more power into the hands of YouTube / The Curator. A "One Size Fits All" approach is not good.

Yes, YouTube's algorithm is not perfect, and has downsides. But going back in time to having a small handpicked selection pushed on everyone, would be an even worse outcome.
