  1. That is true, the size and weight do put off some people who want small n lighter load. But I guess for the heat and mostly IBIS it does need space to be effective.
  2. Pretty sure that was A7RII that do FF 4K
  3. On dpreview it is confirmed T/CL doesn’t work from early Japanese user Haha thanks! Yeah my friend is much stronger than me ? Anyway that a7iii has gone to happy new owner, I do enjoy it while I own it but just the eco-system I have atm is better with Canon and Panasonic.
  4. I didn’t say that, I only say Canon and Sony can get focus hunt/lost focus as well Not being defensive just sick of people thinking mirrorless have to be small and fragile, for pro work I want them to be tough and able to stand abuse for field work. I am looking at it as pure workhorse and nothing else. I use R/Leica T for casual photography and G1xiii for travel, though R is also used as bcam for c200.
  5. Yes, image stabiliser works too! I use them a lot as I work full time in video production, that speaking from my experience since I have huge sample size not just shooting once in a blue moon. Obvious S1 is not targeted to you, there are many tools out there to suit your needs, I just buy whatever fits my need. Compare to c200 it is much lighter, I’ve done c200 handleheld for half day, so S1 weight is totally fine for me.
  6. I done work using gimbal for 3-4hr straight which is more than 2kg load. Not as long as my friend who steadicam Red One for whole day though he got support vest. I got my fair share of miss focus and focus hunting with C200 and A7iii, they are not totally bullet proof! I guess it more about knowing the limit of the system and work smart around it. Btw there is also APSC lens if u want lighter weight and shoot 4k60p most, I can use Leica 23mm from my Leica T if I want lighter and better lowlight than f4 (only apsc but for 4k60p it fits)
  7. Size is all relative, I know I wouldn't use S1 for anything other than video job, for travel I use G1X III which is much lighter and smaller, the RP while the body is small the lens is not. On the last trip I bring G1XIII and RP with 35mm which I end up using G1XIII and my phone the most, RP only used to capture firefly photos and spend 95% inside my bag.
  8. The new live view composite is really awesome feature for night photography, wonder will this feature be available for other model through firmware update?
  9. The Nikon 50 1.2 looks quite large too, so size wise RF Canon 50 1.2 is not too bad. Panasonic on the other hand their 50 1.4 is definitely large for a 1.4 lens
  10. Can’t believe I miss this thread! i was on a plane recently and they have it built in on their window, I was pleasantly surprised and thinking how come no one make this for camera, and bam this thread pop up A9596483-8556-4081-90D3-4BB76B0CD7CC.mov
  11. And unlimited recording limit
  12. I really like Japan’s G99 name, sounds more awesome than G90/G91/G95.
  13. Having connection definitely helps, that how we we were able to get some jobs from big Corp that pay pretty good price. We don’t really do sub $1000 jobs anymore, we leave those to freelancers or one man band who have much lower overhead.
  14. There is 1080p120 for slow mo which is good, but no 10bit is a bummer
  15. Might be tempted to get it, rodelink just too big
  16. Wonder is there any 120p slowmo with it.
  17. Yeah, it’s easy to add feature, but usefulness in real life is another. So far non of the interchangeable lens camera can do 4K60p in Full frame (Panasonic S1R is the closest with 1.09x crop)
  18. While on the topic of R the native iso seems to be the same as 5d2
  19. https://www.43rumors.com/some-more-info-about-the-new-panasonic-90/ G90 will be gh5 lite not g9 lite, wonder what video spec will it inherits from gh5.
  20. Yeah pc master race for life, never owned any console whatsoever, don’t play mobile games.
  21. At least she doesn't go put down other people's wife/husband/sis/bro/bf/gf etc. Btw I dont watch Northrup stuff nowadays, they are just like Alan Krumwiede IRL.
  22. Or maybe they need firmware update to fix lens incompatibility issue
  23. As much as I would drop it but constant struggle with daily Sony Troll cant be unseen.
  24. Btw did they retract that tweet and change the question? now it is EOS R External recording..
  25. My friend will be getting 2 R’s after he tried one for a wedding shoot to go with c200, I guess that make more sense than the a6500 he got as bcam atm. Yeah the Canon 35mm IS with 0.5 macro is the best everyday lens anyone has come up with so far! That macro is really useful for slice of life stuff, the closest thing would be Batis 40 f2 cf or Tamron 35 1.8 VC but their magnification is around 0.3x and batis is like 3x the price.
