A new USB follow focus is under development. The OKii USB follow focus made a good impression with me when I saw it at Converge on Sam Morgan Moore’s HalfInchRails rig – smoother than I thought it would be, but not perfect. Now it has a competitor. The LinkyFocus.

At the Vegas Supermeet, Apple today announced Final Cut Pro X, 64bit. It is an absolute revelation. With one click colour grading, Open CL and all new 64bit engine, no rendering, no transcoding, 4K support and able to take advantage of more than 4GB RAM for the first time, Final Cut Pro X has been rebuilt from a blank sheet of paper.
