I'd think Canon would want it out as soon as possible. RF glass sales are dependent upon of sales of R series cameras and with couple RF models in the pipeline, I'd think summer release as long as COVID-19 allows it.
Also Canon Rumors is saying Canon supposedly has plans for an RF mount cinema camera .

I should be editing my footage from the F1
However I can't get this out of my head... It's extraordinary...
In 2004 Chinese researchers in a lab working on SARS coronaviruses became ill. They had become effected with the very viruses they were researching. Suddenly SARS was back out in the community. Big scandal at the time but thankfully these workers were isolated immediately and SARS doesn't have a very big contagion vector. https://www.the-scientist.com/news-analysis/sars-escaped-beijing-lab-twice-50137
In 2013 researchers in China showed that one of the coronaviruses circulating in horseshoe bats could bind to human lung cells. The Chinese government didn't really do much to stop the trade in bat meat and kept it on sale at markets.
In 2015 researchers in Wuhan went further...
    Creation of a chimaera
From the scientific journal Nature, November 2015:
    https://www.nature.com/news/engineered-bat-virus-stirs-debate-over-risky-research-1.18787?WT.mc_id=TWT_NatureNews

"An experiment that created a hybrid version of a bat coronavirus — one related to the virus that causes SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) — has triggered renewed debate over whether engineering lab variants of viruses with possible pandemic potential is worth the risks.
"In an article published in Nature Medicine on 9th November, scientists investigated a virus called SHC014, which is found in horseshoe bats in China. The researchers created a chimaeric virus, made up of a surface protein of SHC014 and the backbone of a SARS virus that had been adapted to grow in mice and to mimic human disease. The chimaera infected human airway cells — proving that the surface protein of SHC014 has the necessary structure to bind to a key receptor on the cells and to infect them. It also caused disease in mice, but did not kill them."
"The findings reinforce suspicions that bat coronaviruses capable of directly infecting humans (rather than first needing to evolve in an intermediate animal host) may be more common than previously thought, the researchers say.
"But other virologists question whether the information gleaned from the experiment justifies the potential risk. Although the extent of any risk is difficult to assess, Simon Wain-Hobson, a virologist at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, points out that the researchers have created a novel virus that “grows remarkably well” in human cells. “If the virus escaped, nobody could predict the trajectory,” he says."
    Some of my thoughts...
    1. The reputable journal Nature has added a disclaimer to the original article, saying there's no proof the current coronavirus is engineered
    2. However I find it an incredible coincidence that the ONLY level 4 microbiology research lab in China handling deadly coronaviruses is in Wuhan, of all places.
    3. Then there's the strange reaction of the Chinese government in December and January, including towards doctors who reported the initial cases of what we now know of COVID-19. Intimidation, cover-ups, you name it.
    4. Maj. Gen. Chen Wei, China's top bioweapons expert and others were dispatched to the Wuhan lab in January (According to - https://nypost.com/2020/02/22/dont-buy-chinas-story-the-coronavirus-may-have-leaked-from-a-lab/)
    5. As early as 2013, the Chinese government researchers knew SHC014 and similar coronaviruses could bind to key receptor ACE2 in human lungs... But the wild animal markets stayed open. Why did China not open up about what they knew and take action on the markets? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26552008
    6. Many in the scientific community questioned the grave risks of such research at the time but China pressed on. Their government clearly wished to know if SHC014 could bind to ACE2 if it made the leap to humans. I am not suggesting they were searching for biological weapon ingredients... But damn, did they find one. From Nature: "[The study findings] move this virus from a candidate emerging pathogen to a clear and present danger”. Useful to know, but it didn't stop certain people eating the hosts of such pathogens... or potentially trading ex-lab animals on the black market. In fact some Chinese researchers have been previously jailed for doing exactly that.
    7. Going so far as to make this chimera virus, an engineered bat virus tested on mice, strikes me as incredibly dangerous research, open to all sorts of abuse and accidents.
    8. In Wuhan, the "gain-of-function" research on viruses seeks to understand the genetic makeup and specifics of virus-host interaction... In other words, how can we gain the function to effect other hosts like humans, and what can we learn from it? Risky science, or purposefully malign?
Either way, the Chinese government owes the world a massive apology.
The bat meat and wild animal markets selling bats should have stopped at least 5 years ago.
The Wuhan research lab safety standards need to be transparent and any cases of corruption made public.
And an agreement with the rest of the world should be signed by the Chinese military, promising never to conduct research for the production of bioweapons.
Harry Patch, the last surviving British soldier of World War I said before he died - "the next war will be chemical, and they will never learn". Guess he was right.

Maybe good news!      Australian scientists seem to have had some success killing the virus using a combination of existing drugs (HIV and Malaria drugs) in a limited clinical trial.     They are now going to fast track roll it out to a full trial at a lot of hospitals around Australia! (almost seems like the full "trial" will be a lot more than that).

I am shaking my head at myself for injecting myself into this conversation for as long as I have but...
Here are some simple truths... if you believe or follow any political party, religion, or ideology that forces you to YELL or denigrate members of other political parties, religions or ideologies, you yourself are a cult member.
This needs to stop. When will people realize that we are pawns in more powerful people's game and no matter how loud we yell, or how poorly we treat one another, it doesn't change much.

Before my three academic degrees and two postgraduation programs completed (I am going on my third one now) in two different major fields to also comprehend politics and economics as well, I was used to study American society since I have memory of myself. Avid reader here, no less viewer and observer. Let alone my own experience and contact with.
Something a few Americans don't know is the fact the Republican party was used to be the progressist political party and Democrats were the most conservative wing of North America. U.S.A. was not born in the second half of XX century, not even in the previous one ; )
In any case, Trump is not even a good rep of them. Neither the idea of America, its values and principles. Take a look in someone who said Obama was is President but not Trump (example already referred a few posts back): John McCain.

Not as producer. We're used to call it forfait, a flat rate. The remainder. Basically, from sales. The last link of the chain to be paid, not from crowdfunding campaigns but copyright or contracts signed between parties to produce the pieces of work to comprehend exploitation too. VOD, most part today.

People help each other complementing information as I did now with you. It's not important you had addressed it to someone else or not. It's the way we're used to do here in Andrew's home. Let's avoid the confrontational tone as much as possible.

I cannot express enough how much I despise discussing politics. It's truly a pointless endeavor that usually ends in hurt feelings with zero understanding of the other side's opinion.
My point in posting in this thread was to offer an alternative viewpoint. And probably because I am a bit bored in between my writing and worrying about my fiancée.

Alright, I've been unleashing my angst on here for a lot of reasons, mostly because I can't sleep, but perspective is always important, so here it goes:
My elderly mother, already suffering from another disease, is self-isolated because she has the symptoms.  My brother is as well.  Not tested yet, happening soon.  I don't know what the heck is going to happen, but before we all get way too angry and impersonal, a little empathy goes a long way --and keep your outlook healthy.
    Good luck out there.

He is a piece of work. But as a word of advice. There is a tone, not specifically directed at you, but there is a tone in the left-leaning media reporting and in statements from the anti-Trump crowd that they'd like to see him fail on some level.
For instance, the media was more interested in his impeachment trial than covering the early spread of Covid-19. And as soon as that exercise in futility ended, the media moved onto how the Trump Administration failed with their early response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Politically motivated? It's completely nonsense what you're just writing. No, there's no political motivation at all from my part.

As fair conclusion though, pictures are not only made of gear and talking around for geeks. Also no one even talks about the use of “HDR Tools” which needs to be placed at the top level of the effects stack. It is necessary to correctly tone map the highlights of perceptually quantized footage that describes BT2020 PQ. F-stoppers and Wolfcrow and many others are describing Pro Res RAW workflows that are not correct for producing proper HDR such as Dolby Vision using the Z6 camera.

Well, I'm sorry if my statement rubbed you the wrong way. It wasn't my intention to offend anyone. I was merely stating, in an albeit brief and blunt way, that using "art" to excuse, or endorse, a behavior can become a slippery slope. And since we live in a world where everybody gets a trophy for showing up, I feel that certain accolades should be earned, or bestowed upon, rather than self-proclaimed.
But you're right, by the definition of the word, any asshole that can put paint on a brush and slop it onto a piece of paper is technically an artist and are creating art and who am I to say it isn't.

Very good review / tutorial on how to use Prores Raw by french vloger Emmanuel Pampuri.

The video is in french but it's easy to follow his workflow in FCPX. It's acutally quite different, as he doesn't use the "sony s-log" "lut" in FCPX to get excellent results (starting at 14m08s).
    Enjoy

I've been playing around with it and can't fault it really. In fact for me, so far, it's been more reliable than Nikon's own FTZ adapter.
All my EF lenses have worked on it even old weird shit like Tokina 28-70 F2.6
It works well in video mode and has so far been far more reliable and bullet proof than Techart E-mount adapter for Nikon Z.

Going to continue to test but it looks like we did finally get that full frame 4K camera from Canikon.

X-H1 has IBIS (the only Fuji to have this) but lacks 10bit internal, thus is both "the best" and is "not the best", depending on your perspective! And what matters to you.

But popular opinion is usually choosing the X-T3 over the X-H1 if they're buying a new camera today from Fuji
