C100markII or C300(I or II) seem like a safe bet, very easy to use, the C100 is rather small as well (not M1 territory, but still), but you have to be specific with your codecs, C100 par example has a much lower bitrate than the afforementioned one.
You have to ask specifically what cameras do they accept, it will be a petty to create technical obstacles for no reason, and M1/2 are rather bad video cameras, you can easily surpass them and got better results.
Do you have a site? Your story sounds really optimistic and worthfollowing.
    Goodluck!

I would take the discount just because he clearly tried to see if he could make those scratches unseen.

Ok, thx for this reply. Good to hear directly from you.
So...what about developing an intelligent nx to canon adapter, with no lens in it? Why not doing this?

Hallo Inazuma, no problem, I'm not offended.
I do not think Metabones has not been able to create the adapter, I think simply that their engineers have not even tried to manufacture it.
The reason is simple, they use a lens focal reducer support standards that can not be used on Samsung NX.
This standard support is used for all lenses by changing only the ring and the mounting flanges.
To create the NXL I had to shape the lenses and design a new type of support.
Soon the first supporters will receive their NXL adapters and they will post pictures and what is necessary to satisfy your curiosity.

I can't answer your question directly, but if I were in your shoes I'd most definitely take up the offer to have the work broadcast, and I'd rent the proper camera to shoot your documentary at appropriate spec. It sounds like your career is moving forward, no need to limit yourself to save a few bucks, as this next project will likely lead to more (larger in nature, I presume).

Looks pretty okay, its a shame the audio is the first thing that really made me aware this is a low budget project, the audio is way more important than the picture itself, with poor audio the viewer experience can be completely ruined.
The grading for me was quite unatural this really reminds me why I like older B-movies shot on film because colours are more natural, not the fault of camera more from the grader himself and just my subjective opinion.
Otherwise, looks to be pretty aright they probably rushed it seeing someone said it was shot in just 4 days, quality tends to deminish when you start rushing things which is a shame but also a budget concern.
Good effort though some very nice scenes, I liked the acting one should not set standards too high for movies with tight budgets, the story seems interesting as well.
I would watch it if it came out on Blu Ray or DVD.

    Interesting question.
I think some of the replies have missed the point a little. The OP has already decided to shoot his interviews on video so discussing VR or 3D is a little like saying why don't you write a stage play or a book. They are different mediums and the OP is interested in e source material being available for 2D video.
VR and 3D will be a thing at some point in the future but there is no point second guessing such infant technologies.
FWIW I think you should either shoot on film as per Bioskop, or shoot on something 4K and create a master in the highest quality, most common codec you can. Which is probably Prores, right? Stuff disappears digitally when it is stored on niche hardware or with a niche codec that becomes quickly obselete so go with something popular and make new masters each time this changes.
    Good luck!

Off topic a bit but I watched a Ted Talk explaining that studies show Gen Z actually prefers books and physical objects over digital consumption. Gen Z is the generation after millenials.

The official Canon intro video does demo and talk about this feature specifically as great "for vloggers" with no mention of selfies.
Im a C100 and XC10 owner extremely bored of hearing the video-shooting minority complain about the quality of video on Canon's stills cameras. Most people think it's Canon being money grabbing and pushing users to the more expensive Cinema line to get decent video. However the more benign explanation is that it's always been part of Canons ethos to honour existing customers by not making their purchases obsolete every 5 minutes (*cough* Sony *cough*). As you say, stills is their focus outside of the pro video segment.
HOWEVER - I do think the graduation of the M camera line to semi-pro with the M5 presents a problem for Canon. Because mirrorless is by nature far more of a hybrid 50/50 stills/video beast. DSLRs fundamentally make pretty awful video cameras, but with mirrorless the form factor etc is pretty much just as good for video as stills (hence the success of the A7S and GH4 and the apparent discontinuation of the 1DC). The line Canon have clearly drawn between DSLRs and their cinema line makes sense, but to omit good video from a true hybrid mirrorless is like Victornox selling Swiss Army Knives that have one side full of sharp high quality tools and the other side full of blunt Chinese knock-off blades. Or like manufacturing a tandem bike frame with no second seat on the back. It doesn't make any sense.
The M5 is big news because it means Canon are clearly phasing in quality mirrorless cameras, which has been a big question mark over their heads. But "phasing in" is the key phrase here. They are still market leaders so they have no need to hurry. A big part of the reason they are market leaders is the brand loyalty and respect they command, which comes in part from not ditching existing customers for the sake of winning the latest and greatest spec war.

In 24 hours I reached 2.980,00 euro of orders, this is awesome !!!
Help me too to advertise it. It is a good news for Samsung NX fans.
Metabones had no interest in building it. I do not believe in their justifications.
    TNX for your support!

Buried in one of these threads and on test videos from youtube, my recollection is that there wasn't a huge improvement in image quality above 180-200, that's why 180 is the default. Going from the factory 80 to 180, you will notice a huge improvement in what you can do with the image in post. Also, small tight patterns like asphalt or distant tree leaves look much better.
Which hack to use depends on what you want. KS has more features, is reliable, but takes a few seconds to load when turning on the camera. Vasile's hack loads immediately, is reliable, but has less features and takes more steps to install initially. If you just want bitrate, Vasile's might be a better choice. Check out KS features though, he's done some amazing work, you may decide his is better for you.

Give it a try, and let us know how it goes:
Mod-menu > Custom Func. > Mod Resolutions > (select) VGA as UHD
*note: if you have NX1, you need nx-ks v2.49
Set your camera to VGA, and check what comes out from the HDMI

To tweak the hdmi-out, you can execute the codes above (via telnet), and see if there's any (there may not be any) difference in the output.

Kisaha reacted to Cinegain in What is the best low budget monitor out there?(Neway CT500HO, perhaps?)
I have the Lilliput 663/O/P2, because of the features... but then the BMD Video Assist was more practical to use (5" is lovely! The 7" 663 is well-built... maybe too well, it's heavy and clunky). Just... the VA is not really awesome blossum for monitoring per se, it just lacks features. Because of that I'm going in between with the Lilliput Q5. LinkDelight seems to have 'em already. The official EU distributor was expecting 'em in in two weeks (that was a week ago). I mean, ideally I would've gone with a field monitor/recorder combo, but the one I want, which is the Videodevices PIX-E5(H) is a little bit too high up there for me to really consider. Time for them, Atomos or Blackmagic to release a combo monitor with 5~5.5" in the sub 1000 USD range (preferably sub 750 of course). That would be a home run! Until that day I think the Q5 will do it all: from being mounted on a handheld gimbal stabilizer to actually checking the waveforms/vectorscope in a studio environment. The silly but practical looking rubber Atomos-style cover is removable (since the update of including one, they haven't had any renders without one).
Btw, Aputure has a new monitor, the VS-5 (7" though). Saw it a few weeks ago on AliExpress. They announced the release on their social media and YouTube channel more recently. And not sure why, but Feelworld and Seetec seem very stoneagey, I'd be more comfortable with Lilliput and Aputure.

Today I installed and tested the new NX-KS V2.48 Hack, in my NX1 camera. I shot in real 4k (4096x2160) 180mb/s - 25fps! No frame repeating.
This is the only Dslr can shot real 4k in 24 and 25fps!!! TNX.

Guys, here the news. Kino Seed from dpr is kindly take my help offer and I did remote debugging of this mode for NX1, which is new for me, so it takes loooong time, poor Kino Seed
About this mod-pack release and NX1 compatibility which I can confirm for now, all without manual camera reboot, i.e. on-the-fly:
Record limit on/off (resets after every reboot)
Setting up bitrate for current mode
Setting up bitrate for any video mode in menu
    Hibernate and Sleep mode
Custom functions - focus and batch
    Saving and loading profiles
Saving and loading full backup settings
Also - functional key-combinations, like EV+MOBILE for telnet, it's just perfect actually
It's all must works fine as in nx500, as in NX1
Bonus upgrade: while I did the bitrate test of this mod, my SANDISK Extreme Pro SDXC 64GB Class 10 UHS-I U1 95/90 MB/s allows me easily go with 210 (!!!) mbps.
So. naturally, now I am confirming, that NX1 (probably nx500 with same or better sd-card) with this mod-pack is ready to shoot with 200 mbps bitrate. It's still needs more testing to explore possibilities, but so far I record like 10 videos from 10 seconds to 4 minutes, without any issues. So, use this mod to expand possibilities of nx500 and NX1, and please leave a feedback here or on dpreview
