Rinad Amir reacted to JurijTurnsek in iphone X for video - GO PRO killer? H.265 recording - slo mo 1080p up to 240 FPS - is this a go pro killer?
A smartphone cannot "kill" an action camera. Totally different tools. I dear you to use is with a clip-on fisheye and strap it on any helmet. /thread

Rinad Amir reacted to Andrew Reid in Shooting 5K on the Panasonic GH5 with the new 'Open Gate' mode
Yes, going to be good for warp stabiliser. With Dual IS, 5 axis IBIS and Warp, maybe we won't need that £1000 tripod Flowtech 75 after all

What you're looking for doesn't exist for your price point, sorry. The fs700 is the closest probably but it's still more expensive with a raw recorder and doesn't do autofocus very well. Also no stabilization. So yeah, what you describe would be pretty amazing for less than $3000 but I wouldn't expect all those boxes to be ticked any time soon

You're going to spend more money on CFast 2.0 cards than the actual camera.

Rinad Amir reacted to Andrew Reid in The Canon C200 is here and its a bomb!
Wow a lot of hype in this thread. I am surprised at the specs (for Canon) as well, especially internal raw, but let's throw some cautions out there before somebody drops £7700 in a fit of excitement.
Main codec at 8bit 4:2:0 150Mbit for 4K is worse than the current £1500 mirrorless cameras.
Canon had no choice but to compete with the FS5 (which beats this on price) - but protecting C300 II came at a cost. The 1080p codec is even worse at 35Mbit, that doesn't compare favourably to the GH5 at all.
Unlike the FS5 you are stuck with the APS-C / Super 35 look. No Speed Booster. Dual Pixel AF is a good selling point though.
Of course you have internal ND filters (mechanical, not electronic like on the Sony rival) but no 5 axis in-body stabilisation... which is more important for production values, IMO.
It remains to be seen how good the 1080/120fps is... if it is moire hell and soft then the FS5 is going to win in a key area.
15 minutes of raw at 128GB is a problem. That will not move RED users over to Canon. No way. And you can only currently edit it in one NLE.
Does it only record 4K RAW or can you drop to 2K? RED raw compression is still streets ahead of everything else.
Same sensor as C100 II / C300 II, which is to be expected. But you'd think for 2017 they could have done an update.
Form factor is that of a work camera, I wouldn't get a kick of enjoyment from taking such a clunky camera out on the streets or on a shooting trip.
The C200 is only 12bit in RAW. The normal codec is 8bit.
Unless you are happy shooting 15 minutes at 128GB and archiving a whole week's shoot at that kind of data rate, you will not be using the 12bit RAW.
RAW should be at least 14bit. At 12bit it starts to degrade. We know this from Magic Lantern's work.
It drops even more dynamic range at 10bit in 60fps raw mode... in that mode the file sizes will be borderline unworkable and the shadows will be scratchy as hell.

Rinad Amir reacted to ntblowz in The Canon C200 is here and its a bomb!
C200 only record 4:2:0 8bit in mp4 format which is a bummer, no flexible 4:2:2 10bit in reasonable space. 4K raw only can shot 15 minute with 128GB card

Rinad Amir got a reaction from mercer in Gh5 or 5d mk iv?
Hey @mercer id like to apologize mate you right thats why they introduced vanila &chocolate lol
Have you tried GH5 yet? if you dint do it rent one make sure you try IBIS with dual is Lenses ,u gona be blown away its almost like gimbal feel
Clog its not 100% free anyhow its only rumors you have to wait and see if their really love their followers lol
"“There is no mention whether or not this will be a service you will have to pay for or not, or if future EOS 5D Mark IV cameras will ship with the feature,” Canon Rumors writes. “While we cannot confirm this information at present"
V-log shoots 8bit and 10bit (yes we do have to pay ,atlest Panna giving people to chance save some money if they dont want extra feature )
And as for savings cost comon man OP have to get fullframe lenses External monitor(waveforms peaking 3dluts etc) as their is no articulating screen on 5d

Rinad Amir reacted to Fritz Pierre in GH5 autofocus improvement on new firmware update for soon
Agreed...but this is of course huge for them as a business and it's almost impossibly hard to satisfy everyone....if not AF it would be the "videoy" look (will Webster adopt this word into it's dictionary) or lack of DR or poor low light ability...as a business one has to pick your battles...personally I strongly doubt that they can beat Canon's AF system with a FW update, but again personally I prefer what they put in the camera as is...but then...many others disagree...well, we will know soon enough how well the FW update does.
our friend on 3 men and an elephant just did a quick review of AF on his GH5 and seemed to find it quite acceptable for his use.

Rinad Amir reacted to Borbarad in GH5 - What lenses?
I hav but only for stills ( not much time for videos lately). It's a great lens. About the same as the 42.5. Size and weight a perfect match for the GH5. I really love the Aperture ring. The price is okish, like the 42.5 still on the high side.
One of my m4/3 recommended lenses.
