Hey guys I'm pretty new to photography. I mainly have taken photos on my phone or my GoPro and im looking to step up my photo game. I travel a lot and mainly take landscape pictures and pictures of me and my friends at lookout points and what not. This is just a hobby I'm by no means a professional photographer nor do I want to make a business out of it. So if you have any suggestions let me know I'd like to keep it under the $1000 price point if possible.

kayleerumors is reporting an EOS R1 with 8000 fps stills in live view
dunno what that means, but the slogan is “8k for $8k”

Phase detect auto focus like Canon would be ultimate GH6 and to put icecing on top prores as codec 🥳 no need for 6k 8k 4k would be just fine

Yosuke Yamane has said there won’t be 8K soon from Panasonic, wether that means this year or not until after the Olympics.
I believe the only contenders for 4:3 STARVIS sensors that @androidlad has hinted at is a ~42 MP sensor and a ~54 MP (quad-bayer design?).
With the Covid-19 heavily affecting production of parts and supply in most manufacturing sectors, I feel like we will get an announcement but may have a much later launch.
When you look at the GH5 today, a 2017 camera, I find it absolutely amazing it’s still a top tier camera.
5K open gate, 6K anamorphic, 4K60p, 10-bit 4:2:2 internal, unlimited recording, waveforms, great audio, dual UHS-II slots, 400Mbit All-I,  built-in time-lapse, and the list goes on! Even a fucking stop motion mode!
Hopefully Panasonic continues the legacy and truly gives us something special. I love MFT and as you can see, it makes trades offs that give us all of the above I listed in a weather sealed, relatively compact, workhorse of a camera.
Meanwhile Sony users are STILL waiting for 10-bit in a A7 body...

Its fun for me and I don't really lose much money. I am not racking up credit debt buying REDs! I just sell out one kit to buy another. Probably don't need to but its more fun that way.

So where to start i recently noticed this fkin crazy habit while surfing on Youtube or Vimeo
Id click on some video and if the first couple frames gets my attention id pause it click on info to see what lenses ^camera was used etc and if more ad scroll through comments to find the answer ,and then continue watching 😪 so id ignore the story just for sake what gear was used in video
This is completly wrong attitude and i need cure! Em i alone?

The YouTube comment section is trash. It’s either filled with brown nosing drivel or toxic troll turds. There is almost nothing in between that spectrum.
I would be tempted to just disable comments on any video I put on YouTube, but then it kills your discoverability because apparently Youutbe things important things are happing in the comment section 😒
But then again, maybe that is a hidden feature...🤔
