Hello, I just bought a used atomos samurai blade. But I noticed that the screen itself is loose, it is clickable/loose, when I push the screen, it makes a click(it moves to the back). Is this normal? Or not? Thanks
-
Sure, mail any retailer, or cvp has already changed their prices.
-
Yes, it was confirmed that it is the same panel. I hear that the LAG is still a problem. Can you confirm that? Is there still a delay on the image? As that would be a dealbreaker for me. (focuspulling etc)
-
Yeah I would love to puzzle one like this together myself. It looks like a aurora 90 racer with a stripped gopro 4, and some cushion on it for safe crashing). - aurora => 200€ - gopro 4 used => 250€ - remote => 200€ - FPV goggles => 400€ Give or take, a total of => 1050€. That might be a bit much for me to just use it for fun.

Hate to bring the bad news! But Roger said the 1DC was only used for reference shots
-
It is tiny though, so I am wondering what RAW specs it can possibly have. Maybe it is just a still shooter.
-
Yeah not sure, could be. Maybe a 5" 4k one. But who know, blackmagic has done these discounts before, with the blackmagic pocket at 50%. I still regret not getting it back then, afterwards prices went back up to 995$.

Smartphone with a lens mount? Whatever it is, its going to break your bankaccount ^^

The 7" might be too heavy for gymbal work. But would be a lot more usefull for monitoring. Does anybody here use the 7" on a gymbal?
-
Yeah I am just looking for a monitor for doing dji ronin work with the ursa mini pro. So the 5" 1080p is enough for me I think. I like that it has HDMI and SDI, the atomos samurai blade only has sdi. So I am still thinking about it.

Hey, Blackmagic is offering a discount on their video assist this summer. Shared in case some of you were looking. Cheers https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=60862 https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/release/20170627-02

hahaha yeah

Well "inland empire" is pretty unwatchable cinematography wise. I rather see a old black and white film over this. But thats just my opinion
-
Well I do not agree with all of the above. It depends on what you are trying to do. I agree that shooting with a dslr is more fun, when shooting on vacation, or exploring new sites, event videos or weddings. But whenever your are shooting on a set, the lights are set, the grip is set, its all about getting that last 10% increase in quality for me, or trying to achieve it at least. The creativity for me atleast is what I do upfront the shoot (location, moodboard, storyboard, lighting, testing, as on a shootday...) I often quit watching some video's because they do not have that high end look to it (color,DR,bad grading, bad editing,...), and yet I know guys like Kendy are really great at what they do. But If you compare the quality between the t2I and a Alexa, its nowhere even close. I feel like its already outdated image quality wise. Would I go backpacking with a Alexa, No not really. Would I rather shoot a narrative with a dslr, no not really.

Yeah I would not have guessed this. Canon actually made a decent affordable camera. I already went with the ursa mini pro. Which still has an edge over this camera in lot of ways. But I can see this camera will sell like hotcakes, as this camera can be used in a lot of situations(low light). So for wedding and event shooters this camera is a dream come true.

Canon C200 and Panasonic rival camera to fight it out at CineGear Expo
zerocool22 replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Hope for Panasonic that is not the case. Why on earth would you get this over a UMP. -
Hmm yeah not exited about this. Not sure who would want this besides people who use it as a toy or maybe a cheap crashcam.

Ursa mini pro for me, I dont see anything else coming close to it. -
Hello, I was wondering if anybody got some good luts to share for the ursa mini pro? (I already got the Noam Kroll Alexa one, and franks instant cinema). But I feel like they are doing to much, lifting exposure, Adding too much blue. I know I can fix this in post. But I am looking for a LUT that I can use in camera that looks kind of natural. The comet color one looks nice. But the pricetag is a bit much at this point. Thanks!

Magix Sony VEGAS Pro 14 to have native Prores support & cost $199 only
zerocool22 replied to LimitBreak's topic in Cameras
Why would you go for vegas if you can use resolve which is 10X more powerfull. (vegas is really easy to start out with though, I give it that). I started with vegas back in the day, then moved up to Premiere, (also tried final cut) and now I am using resolve. -
Oooh I would really like one of these. Hopefully they sell like hotcakes, so I can atleast rent one. And hopefully buy one used someday. Sending a mail to my gear rental of choice, to see if they are buying this set.

Hello, Is there anybody here selling a ursa mini vmount adapter by any chance in Europe? thanks!
-
Well yeah, I think I am settled with the ursa mini pro for a while
