Well I just saw "blood father" last night, and I was thinking why did the director did not shoot another take of this scene, and gave the actors some feedback as this clearly is not working. But I have also been on a set, where I had to shoot a scene 29 times, because the actors didnt deliver 100%, and in the end it was not much better then the first 28 takes. But we lost a lot of shooting time, so we had to cut a lot of other shots, and just use the master shot of that scene.

Yeah If only we can get the Varicam image out of the GH line. Or RAW or any decent codec. As these dslr's codecs suck. I know I can only speak for narrative filmmakers out there. And 80% of the dslr users are probably doing more event, business, wedding, travel, sport videos and could care less.

I disagree, before I knew anything about camera's or filmmaking I was somebody from the audience, and I could always tell if the movie looked bad or not. When the first digital films came out, I just hated the look. I didnt even knew it was digital back then, I just thought It just doesnt look good. (years later, I can tell you it was the lack of high DR, highlights were overexposed, the image was too sharp, stuff that I didnt was used too before). Ok I was a more serious film enthousiast then your average cinema visitor. But there are millions like me out there, and its those serious film enthousiast who still make a difference in cinema sales & DVD purchases.

Yeah likewise, I do kinda like the images, but something is off (sharpness, resolution) the videos I have seen look like SD footage to me. Not sure if it is a camera thing, or the uploaders mistake.

Aah too bad, I was hoping on at least 2 stops DR increase. Iso noise seems to have improved though, which is a good thing as the 5D III was a bit behind the A7S in low light. I was kinda hoping this was the camera to get when Magic lantern hacked it. But now even with a hack, it is not that much better then the 5D III. I will probably need to invest into a RED raven or kinefinity terra camera. As the A7S ii is not cutting it for me(codec, 8bit, color).

Is 12bit or even 12+bit external possible? On what does it depend? The processor or the sensor?

Yeah +10 bit, much better colors(maybe better sensor like the varicam lt), and a lot better noise performance is all we need.

Have you shot any 5D III RAW footage? As for narrative at least for me it also blows away any GH4, A7S. For event filming and such I would agree to shoot on a A7SII or GH4, as the edit needs to be delivered fast.

Well specs arent everything, the image is what matters. But I will only buy one if its possible to do RAW with magic lantern on it. 8bit images are just not cutting it(I owned a C300, C100, A7S II, 5D III, GH4). Otherwise I will move on to a RED raven or kinefinity terra.

Yeah I hope A7S ii footage will work now a lot better. Also hoping on a big improvement on the stabilizer.

Hello, Is there a tool out there that I can use to convert online videos to thumbnails/screenshots. I want to edit with some thumbnails whenever I got some time, so Instead of rearranging videos. I would like to do so with some images. So you could make a storyboard/cartoon from these thumbnails. But not sure if there are any tools out there that could do this? (Like every 2 seconds take a screenshot, or even better if it detects it is a new clip make a screenshot and save it). Thanks!

Hello, I am shooting something that is projected with a beamer, but I see these RGB colors. How Can I fix this? (beamer is 60hz) A7S II is on NTSC 24fps 40 shutterspeed(to counter the moving lines on the screen). Any idea how to fix this? thanks!

Hello, I shot some slowmotion with my 5D III RAW ML, and I shot it on 1920x648(50fps) and Magic Lanterns says I need to scale my footage with 1,67. But where can I find this in Resolve (1920x1080 timeline?), I found when I click on a clip there says scaling(and I can choose Stretch, fit, ...) and so on but nowhere where I can put a percentage. What should be the best workflow for this? Also how can I add a cinemascope cropmark to my footage in Resolve 2-35-1? Thanks a lot!

Thanks guys, yeah those light tools sure aint cheap I looked into the photodiox ones, but couldnt really find any that fits my needs(awkward sizes). I would like to mount it to a c-Stand, and I dont see any grid or eggcrates on the panels. On the softboxes I do see them, but I am not really looking for a softbox as that limits my light usage. I would like to put the diffusion panel, before any light I can find (sun, fresnells, kinoflows, hmi's,...)

Im pretty sure Ebrahims face was recorded on the security cams of WU.(as every WU store has a security camera, yes even in egypt)

So Ebrahim is it ok if we send a Egyptian Police Detective over and check your story, and your messages. And then he can go to the WU checking the video camera's of the identity of the thief? If you got nothing to hide, then it should be ok right?

What difference does it make that his assumed 1DC was stolen, there is no proof that he didnt scam these people. The handwriting seems to be the same, he already acknowdledges that it comes from his house. So it must be family if he did not do it, you could find out who did it easily. It stays a scam, and you are responsible for your account and your pc, it is not that this scam was done over a weekend but over quite a while, so how could you not find out all the messages in your inbox/sent during the scamming. This reeks! Get on with giving the victims their money back (as someone from your family or you is a scammer, and you should take responsibilty for you or your family's mistakes)!

I think the 5D 4 will be a bit pricier then the currernt 5D III, so I dont think it will influence the prices of the current 5D III(much). Also as long there is nog magic lantern hack for it, I dont see the point in upgrading for a whole lot of users.

Ok how about this. Can it be done with a beamer (3000 lumen)? Where I just make a video full black, and just 1 frame white(the flash). Would that work out, or are the black levels of the beamers/projectors not good enough? Or something else I forgot about? Thanks!

Thanks, yeah I already looked into the terra, however there is still no demo footage. So I am still waiting on that demo footage, as it needs to be very good. And it needs to be on the same level as a red epic x.
