    Anyway...
Nice work, Brian. The sound of a lawn mower going over branches brings back many memories of my childhood.
I liked the quality and can really see the raw look, especially in your dog's hair.
Since I've exclusively shot raw video for years, I'm curious to hear how the post process is? I could see this being a great B-cam when I need to go incognito. Did you use the gyro function?

I'm confused as well... as someone who posts test shots, I understand what it's like to put yourself out there on a public forum. So I applaud anyone on this forum that is willing to share.
Since you post a lot of shots from your camera(s) of the week, I'd think you may have the same reservations and extend the same courtesy.
Truth is, I loved everything about Brian's post and despise almost everything about your reply...
It's a shame that with all of your money, you can't seem to afford common courtesy and manners.

I mean, ok. I said it could shoot C4K, which it can, I just chose a different aspect ratio for this particular video.
It can shoot raw up to 60fps, I choose 24fps, I don't consider either a low frame rate.
The face is blown out I guess at some point, I need to go back to find it, but likely user error, I overexposed.
I also owned the EOS M to use the magic lantern hack, and that DID suck, bc you didn't get a realtime preview, or if you did it was insanely cropped, and the Dr sucked. This looks much better than that, we can agree to disagree, and it has optical stabilization, focus peaking, realtime preview, 4K, 60p.
I'm not claiming this is somehow better than a modern mirrorless, but very few modern mirrorless shoot raw, hell most are just now getting to 10bit. This looks better than the videos I get when using the stock video app. And I'm fucking poor and can't afford a modern mirrorless, so yeah, I have this (relatively cheap) phone that all of a sudden can shoot raw, I'm going to enjoy it.

Maybe this has been discussed before, (Or maybe people don't care about such things at this point in technology), but I just discovered this app for my Pixel 7 Pro called Motioncam Pro that can do C4K raw CDNG, and to an external SSD at that.
Again, maybe this app has been around for awhile and I'm late to the game, and I know its just a tiny sensor, but for someone broke like me, who can no longer afford my old GAS lifestyle, this is a pretty fun and cheap way to get back into the grueling fun of raw video.
The app can even export gyro data for use in Gyroflow, for stabilization.
    Nothing too exciting here-

Sony cameras have always overheated. I think it might be considered a feature at this point
But I hear Panasonic's next camera is going to have a defrost setting for raw video and a popcorn button. Jiffy Pop in beautiful 6K anamorphic.

On mine, I can get it to take an inordinate amount of time to release when the AF is in Tracking mode and then it will still occasionally do it when I switch it to Area but its not consistent and sounds like a different issue to what you are having anyway.
By the by, I sometimes don't think the AF ON is performing properly but I need to look into that further.

You could try using the Save/Restore Camera Setting function to make a copy of the settings of each camera onto their respective SD cards then swap the cards and load the settings up on each to see if the behaviour transfers to each camera.
If Unit 02 doesn't start misbehaving in the same way as Unit 01 when it is using its settings then that would imply it is a hardware fault.
Similarly, after saving the settings, you could do a factory reset on Unit 01, check its behaviour with defaults, then re-load your settings from the card to see if it then does it which would imply something within the custom settings you have made.

In a moment of temporary insanity I read the first few pages of that thread and the previous camera one, and was left with impression that BM have a bit of a problem.
The people in the thread seem to want a new BM camera to be:
FF sensor modular / "box" design with Pro features UMP sensor (or similar performance) replacement for BMMCC Micro Cinema Camera bright tilting/flipping touchscreen replacement for P4K The way I read those incompatible requests is that, according to the customers, BM have four "holes" in their lineup:
professional modular camera, likely FF, with SDI / timecode / etc, flagship modular camera, likely S35/FF, to compliment P6K update for P4K for entry-level users replacement for BMMCC I'd even suggest a fifth hole in their line-up, which is an update to the OG BMPCC, which would have the look of the old sensors, but with 2.5K, better battery / sound, brighter tilt screen, and dual-ISO.  Of course, the market for that last one would be too small 🙂

One major thing that the LX10/15 has over the RX100 series is the f1.4 minimum aperture on the wide end.
The RX100 series have the sLog profiles but this is mitigated on the LX10/15 if you install my Cinelike D hack.
I actually prefer just having Cinelike D as its easier to deal with in a casual camera than sLog having to be exposed at ISO1600.
You can add ND to both of course using stick on filter adapters but having to reduce from ISO100 instead of ISO1600 it a lot less problematic in terms of not getting X pattern artefacts etc.
Everyone should just get an FZ2000/2500 though as it really is a powerhouse and, if we were brutally honest with ourselves, probably as much of a camera as many of us actually need 😉
Its a bit chunky though so a combination of that and the LX10/15 would be great for travel where the LX could be used where discretion is required but at minimal additional weight with the bonus of the flexibility of two matched cameras (using Cinelike D) instead of one.

Btw, I found the thread with best buys of og cams @kye🙂
So here is some S16 sensor size pocket love:) Love this little camera. Yesterday I was roaming the lil streets of a calm and humble neighborhood and collected some bits and sights. I then saw this trailer and figured, maybe I can get a small montage around this kewl 80ies vibe vacation waggon. Would not have been possible with my Sony F3.:) Anyway, here is some S16 deep focus pocket video:

    Sigma 16-28mm f2.8 L mount
I haven't really had much time to do anything with it but these are example grabs from 4K footage with the new to me Panasonic S5ii from the first couple of days after I picked it up.
Initial impressions are that it is fast focusing, sharp and although it is absolutely not distortion free (particularly on the wide end) but should definitely be considered by anyone with an E/L mount camera that needs a fast, constant aperture, very wide zoom.

I played with the Ptools hack but could never get it working on my GF3.  Unfortunately lots of the information online seems to have been lost and the things I did find took a good deal of searching, reading entire threads and following all links etc.
    The GF3 would be spectacular with a bit-rate bump - 17Mbps wasn't really enough for 1080p.
For anyone reading that hasn't seen them, here's a few from the mighty GF3:
and here's a random comparison of JPG vs Video with a few lenses / filters:
Looking back on the above, I remember the difference in detail being a lot more between the JPGs and the video - maybe the 1080p YT compression really softened it.
I've done a lot more videos with it, both tests as well as real edits, and my conclusions were that:
If you use it without a stabilised lens or with any lens that isn't razor sharp then it's only good for a Super-8 style final product due to the soft rendering and micro-jitters If you use it in mixed lighting or with low-CRI lighting then you're going to have a very bad time colour correcting in post If you use it in any sort of low-light situation then it might not even get up to Super-8 level of video AND you're going to have a bad time in post DAMN ITS SMALL!!!!   When paired with the Olympus 15mm F8 body cap lens it is almost as pocketable as a smartphone, and if used outside when the sun is up, it'll do a great job of Super-8 style videos.  It is usable with the 12-35/2.8 lens, but if you're going to have a setup that large, you may as well take the GX85 or P2K.
Here's a shot of some of my collection - the GF3 is the second smallest, only larger than the mighty (pink) J20 that was what I entered into the camera challenge.

It was great looking back over these GF3 videos - fun times!

But there isn't a lot of glass from original and third parties. That's the problem. And since it's a mirrorless mount with a shorter flange distance than EF, the ability to implement internal NDs will be a bit more difficult. I suppose BM can get into the lens adapter business and produce adapters that have some kind of internal ND system.

BRAW codec is already open standard.
Open Standard and Free to Download Cross platform and license free!
Why ? I have no idea, you have to ask Blackmagic how their business works 🙂
L mount 20mm Flange focal distance is not a lot but if you don't have to put a shutter there, and have a bigger camera body then maybe it would be enough to squeeze an ND filter. Sony proved already that it is possible. This is one of the ways for Blackmagic to differentiate from hybrid cameras. They already did it in a simplistic way in BMPCC 6K Pro. A more compact and sophisticated ND filter solution is maybe not out of reach for them. Tracking auto focus and IBIS, no, this would be Panasonic territory and too expensive for Blackmagic to achieve.

So, some photography with my beloved GX85 and the beautiful Zeiss Tevidon 25mm 1.4. It was pretty tricky doing pictures during this beautiful street fest. Small EVF, heat, loud but cool music, MF with very small focus throw, 200.000 people, dancing all over the place and the overwhelming presence of all auto smartphone computers.:) But the pleasure was all mine that day!:)
