Ef 100 f2 is a very good lens, metal thread, better then 85 1.8, if don't mind not so wide.  85L is the king in 85s, but not sure which Ana lens fits it.  16h is too small for it.  Other big lens might not wide enough with it.

Ricardo is always posting such gorgeous framegrabs in this thread, so I wanted to give his settings a try for myself on my latest project... I'm really liking the way these are looking. (Graded with DeLuts and filmconvert)

    Good finds today.
A 100% mint 15mm f4.5 that covers most full frames. Viewfinder and awesome rearcap included. Total cost $250.

    Sample using T-Max 100.

Also a Fujinon 12.5mm f1.4. Very solid and good price. No sample so far, will use it on the Bolex.

The M6 will also use the 15mm.

It's a bit lens dependant. The 35mm F2 WR and 18-50mm F2.8-4 OIS work best in AF-C mode but it's definitely not very reliable all the time.
The 35mm F1.4 and 56mm F1.2 have really noisy AF motors and big heavy glass elements to shift... so don't work as well.
I think the A6300 and X Pro2 share a very similar sensor and phase-detect AF is on the chip.

The original A7?... hmm. Similar results to a GH3? Not really. It has bags of aliasing, moire, pathetic codec and a soft image.
    Not my cup of tea.
If you're going to use the 55mm F2.8, why not put it on an A7S for 1080p?
Yes 4K has a lot to do with it.
You need better lenses for it.
    I have this lens.
An ok cheap lens, nothing unique or special really, aside from it being nice and compact.
However you're not comparing kit that's even in the same league.
When you say 'very sharp and well corrected'... not compared to the Batis 25mm F2 or the Leica 12mm F1.4!
    This is my entire point.
It's not overpriced. It's just fucking good. The absolute cutting edge comparable with Leica's $$$ M lenses.
The Olympus OM lenses are all soft in comparison, designed for film SLRs and a long flange distance.
The Leica 12mm is designed for digital, short flange distance mirrorless like a rangefinder M lens. BIG difference.
    Lovely.
But your argument seems to be that this would be as 'sharp' and as highly corrected as a GH5 + Leica 12mm F1.4, which thus makes the Leica overpriced because it isn't any 'better'.
    Nope.
You have lost your own argument!
    I have seen the samples.

Yep the X Pro 2's colour is effortless, you don't need to do anything to it in post and if you just want 1080p, it's a lovely simple solution.
The magenta cast in the S-LOG 3 footage though is down to the user not being knowledgable enough with grading tools to correct it.
S-LOG is a bitch to work with, so it is partly the camera's fault and partly the user's.
I don't blame anyone who has trouble getting the colour from Sony cameras to match Fuji! It's hard!

IMO, the '1/50th rule' is a greatly overrated rule.  And taken far too seriously in the dslr film making world.  I have no problems with shooting 1/25th of a second if I need the extra stop of exposure.  for those pedantic about following a rule, but not with the fortune of shooting with controlled lighting or an alexa, 1/40th is gonna yield much better results than 1/50th IMO

Yeah I agree, the Roki 12mm f2 is awesome, and for me, it's the obvious choice for an ultra-wide on NX cameras. It's very small and lightweight, and of course it's f2! I used to own the 10-18mm, loved it, but had to sell it for the same reasons as Ricardo, as sadly it's just unusable with fly-by-wire adapted. I also briefly owned the sigma 10-20mm, which I bought to replace the canon, it was fine, but too slow for my needs. The rokinon 12mm f2 is both very sharp and very fast! Awesome for steadicam stuff (including low light) and astrophotography as well. For me the extra stop was more useful than the zoom and 1 millimeter more width of the tokina 11-16 (the rokinon is also cheaper.)

If all you care about is the widest glass you can possibly get, there is also the Sigma 8-16mm, which I believe is the widest rectilinear glass ever made for crop cameras. I've never used it, but it's fairly pricey and I have heard it's not the sharpest lens. You never know though!

I only own the FD 50mm 1.4, but I used to use the EF version quite a bit in years past. It is not a very well regarded lens. For video use the focus throw will be much shorter than the FD, and of course only electronic aperture as well. I'd stick with the FD.

    Cute bird
I find the noise a lot better in 1080p mode with Canon LOG enabled, you can even go up to 6400 with that combo. In the other picture profiles not to much, 1600 is the max, 800 better.
It's just not a good comparison anyway. The A6300 is a completely different kind of tool. It's an interchangeable lens camera for starters. The XC10 is a 10x zoom camcorder designed to be used handheld for the most part, whereas the A6300 is an APS-C stills camera that just happens to have a sensor which shoots very nice 4K video, it won't give a user experience to match the Canon, nor is it quite the shot-getter without the fuss but it will give you the look of Super 35 and all those different looks from various lenses. The XC10's lens is a good all-rounder but nothing special aside from it's small size and useful 10x zoom range.
