I agree the difference of 0.07 is not such a big deal, but imo the 'normal' EF - MFT Speed Booster is already a great product. This just makes it better.
The difference is more relevant for wide lenses. Because you now get the same crop factor as any aps-c camera, you can use all lenses 'as intended'. The Sigma 18-35mm for example. With the 0,71x Speed Booster, you get a 31-60mm equivalent (4K UHD), with the 0,64x you get the 28-55mm equivalent. 28mm vs 31mm is noticeable. It's not only about subject distance, but about a certain look and perspective.
On top of that, you'll get an extra 1/3 stop of light. It's not much more expensive than the 0,71x SB either. So, that's what makes me - as a GH4 owner - excited.
    Thanks Brian!

Nice shots and montage. Keep it up.
Not sure about the music used. The riding and tricks themselves are perhaps already hard to give a bit of an epic touch, selecting a bit mellow music might dull things down a little. Different tracks might've worked better there, but perhaps you've wanted to do a different approach to skating/scootering videos by not picking your typical upbeat song. But then again, must be a reason it's typical. Matter of taste perhaps.
Also, be careful with black cuts like in the first video at around 0:35 there's two of 'em, if you were actually pushing smooth transitions before. It's a bit disruptive imho.

It's been good. There is an exposure meter in LiveView which I had not expected. The screen is big and high-res enough to flip it out and use the camera ENG style on your shoulder. Bright enough to use on an overcast day too I think.
I hope you mean the newer 35mm lens because the older DX one sucks.
Also you should check to make sure that you can control video with Wifi. I think I read somewhere that you can't.
The image is very nice but when you focus to infinity you really notice how soft it is (compared to a Panasonic camera or the A7S). However it will be very similar to the D750.
Here's a clip I took last Monday, shot on Flat.  The second half of the clip is graded to how Id visualise it if it were a film.

Problem solved. Got a new cable to day and now the Aputure/GH4 combo works. Very easy setup, - connected the two, switched both on and bingo. Thanks to everyone for your comments and inputs.
About the quality of the Aputere: Well, for the money it is okay. The screen has too much contrast - maybe wrong contrast is the right word -  to my liking. The dark areas are too dark and the bright areas too bright. I've tried different settings for brightness and contrast, but can´t get what I would like. Also I would not trust the Aputure for colors - not terrible colors but not trustworthy. The GH4 LCD has far better balance between dark and light areas and better colors. For framing and most focus work though I guess the Aputure is okay. I have put an Anti Glare Film on top of the glossy screen, this and a DIY-modification on the sunshade made it quite useful  for outdoor use.
Anyways, in 4-5 months time I think I´ll get the SmallHD 501 Sidefinder, - if feedback from real world users is good.

    I have Panasonic G6 and GH4: no problem on both with Olympus 12mm, 17mm, 25, 45.
I choose to sell them to buy other gear I needed (a BM Pocket, some old primes...) but I regret that, because they were amazing, especially for stills, where AF is a must.
For video I'm happy with old manual lenses, but if you shoot both video and photos Olympus are just great!

Another hardware up from the LX100: the FZ1000 has a vari-angle display. Oh, and it has the Cinelike profiles. I also find the MF with the LX100 lens ring a little fiddly (should've swapped aperture and focus ring imho).
But then again, the FZ1000 is quite a bit bulkier. Has the slower lens. The smaller sensor (so you run into highly clipping rather quickly). The bit worse low light performance.
Depends on what you're going for. I've got both since the LX100 makes for a great daily on-the-go shooter. The FZ1000 is nice as an allround travelcam with a little more flexibility. One simply does not offer me what the other can. They also make for great B roll/2nd cameras to a GH4.

Might as well take up on me own advice and give the Lilliput 663/O/P2 a go. It's €309 over here: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00IUAZGNI .
Comes in a neat little case with some accessories. Built is metal, not some flimsy plastic. And then of course there's the functionality. There's nothing quite like it at the price point...

    (Full .pdf at http://www.lilliput.de/pdf/663-2014-web.pdf )
Might still be too expensive, maybe overkill as well for some... but on the bang-for-buck scale to me this really scores points. I do believe that extra bit of dosh will pay itself back... what you have to ask yourself I think is: do I want a secondary screen (noun) or do I quite literally want to monitor (verb) what I'm doing? If you're looking into a monitor, do not neccessarily need an external recorder or something a bit smaller than 7", then this seems to be pretty sweet. I'll report back returning from my holidays once it has come in.
Tomtop is a pretty big player and they're all over eBay and AliExpress with multiple stores as well. I've done a fair share of business with them, always went fine. But when packages get a little bigger, heavier and more expensive, there's an increase of risk that it won't fly under the radar... customs might pick up on that and charge you import duties. So then cheap becomes not so cheap anymore... Just a thing to keep in mind. There's always the thing with the declaring of lower values and as 'gift', something these kind of shops tend to put on, but that's not how the system's supposed to work and customs will probably see through that. So beware.
But there's loads of stuff you can get from China, if you need some help filtering through the masses, there are sites such as http://finddealsfor.me and http://chinaprices.us to make life a little easier. Don't forget to check a site like http://www.retailmenot.com for discount coupons. There's one site in particular that has loads of photography stuff: http://www.linkdelight.com , just like Tomtop, you might find 'em on eBay and AliExpress with multiple stores as well.
One of my favourite stores that has one can be found here: http://www.banggood.com/Aputure-V-Screen-VS-2-Smart-HDMI-7-Inch-LCD-Field-Adv-Video-Monitor-p-950922.html . If you want to go with the Aputure VS-2 and are set to get it from China (taking your chances on import duties), that would be the way to do it. Use coupon ' b185f7 ' on checkout for a 9.99 USD off (Grand Total: US$189.90/€178.00).

I was looking at the same thing. That is: something for the GH4/BMPCC (perhaps BMMCC/BMMSC). Figured the way to go probably would be the Lilliput 663/O/P2 for the most complete 'cheap' monitor (incl. histogram, waveforms, vectorscope, etc).
Up from that the Blackmagic Video Assist as a nice external recorder and monitor combined. But I'm still not sure what the monitoring features specifcally entail.
Then the Videodevices PIX-E5H 4K recorder/monitor with PIX-LR XLR audio interface as the crème de la crème solution, with a premium price tag (still believe it's better value compared to a SmallHD 502 + Sidefinder that doesn't record, or Atomos Shogun / Convergent Design Odyssey Q7+ that do record but have the thing of price, size, storage, mainly).
But yeah, for the entry level... really budget price, Aputure seems to take it away (their LED units are awesome value too). There have been mutiple threads about this subject ( most recently here and here ). Apparently the Feelworlds aren't that bad either. But I kinda feel like paying a bit more might really get you something quite a bit more useful. Depends on what you do with it and how it would add to your style of shooting. So you have to do some soul searching... still working on that myself. Perhaps by the time the Video Assist is availlable I might finally have an actual need for one.

This is definitely one that I struggle with.
I've had a very similar path as you, so on one hand it's good to see I'm not the only one, on the other, you have my condolences, because I know how I am.
I started with a 35mm DOF adapter on a Canon hv20, then went to a t2i when they came out.

I really didn't like the kit lens and went with older vintage primes that I knew about because of the 35mm adapter.
I started buying Nikkors and some Russian m42 primes and I've never come back out from down the rabbit hole.

I think lenses are such a great way to get different looks and they can be bought cheap enough to do so.
I've also always enjoyed thrift stores and yard sales, so finding lenses in these places was natural to me.

I've gone through many lenses and still sell them on ebay, but I've settled on a really nice and fast set of Nikkors as my main primes.
I have my zooms (tokina 11-16, 28-70 and Nikkor 80-200 ED)

I also have some other odds and ends and lenses I bought to try out and to have fun with, these are more specific.
Pentax 110 lenses for the BM Pocket
Schneider Kodak Retina Reflex DKL mount lenses
    Anamorphic projection lenses

I've had way more than most people should, but at the same time I've spent a lot less than someone buying a few L lenses new, so maybe it's more the type of thing where it's the journey more than the destination.

I think as long as you keep working, keep doing new projects and don't let lenses (or anything for that matter) take away from that zone/space, you're in good shape.

Nah, nobody has been off topic here. I am interested in knowing what other filmmakers have or use. I like selection. I like to be able to use my Nikkors when I am looking for a more warmer, almost clinical feel to a piece. If I want something a little more vintage, I'll throw on my Minolta MCs. If I'm rushed, but looking for a nice flat image I can play with in post, I'll use my set of Tokina AT-X manual zooms. Of course, this is all theory based on lens tests because I haven't shot too much narrative work yet.

Speedboosters are the secret weapon for Micro 4/3 uses as they IMPROVE your image so much ! sharper wider and faster and give you an APSC / SUPER 35MM equivilent crop instead of the 2x crop of micro 4/3

So I use them all the time on all 3 micro 4/3 camera I use  .
Ive used this set up for over a year commercially on loads of jobs and I will not work with out them now .
If you stop right down and shoot at a very bright light source you can under certain circumstances induce a blue/purple flare spot , but just be aware of that and alter your position or stop so it goes

I shoot all  my narative stuff at around f2 or f2.8 and you dont get any spots when fully wide open .

this was all shot with Mitakon Zhyongji Lens Turbo speedbooster with Nikon Bourne 28-70mm f2.8 IF ED  fully wide open

I have this same problem and have been trying to remedy it by walking out the door for shoots with only two primes.  Maybe one prime, depending on the level of the job.
After doing this for awhile and reviewing the results I'm realizing that I like the images I'm shooting on my 45mm M43 the best.
All this came about when I decided not too long ago to shoot a documentary with a FF cam and a 50mm.  The aesthetic had a cohesion that my typical undisciplined shooting did not.
More visual creativity seems to come about when I'm forced into thinking about the self-imposed limitations of a shot and finding ways to compensate.  Ironically, I'm getting more innovative by restricting my focal length freedom.
Since I have a broadcasting background I've spent most of my career with variable zooms.  Busting my old visual habits has been very rewarding.
But, right now, I've kind of sworn off zoom lenses for motion picture shooting.
