  1. Ah, I thought so, thanks. Here's hoping higher quality options will be added via firmware
  2. Question for S1 owners: I'm testing the Timelapse features and wondering what the bit depth & colour space is for video file created in camera. I used to have to import all files in Lightroom, do adjustments then export to folder then import to Quicktime then export as video file. As I'll be mixing the timelapses with V-log 10-bit 422 footage shot with same camera it'd be nice if video file created in camera has same properties but I'm guessing no as options are only resolution and frame rates. Or, anyone know an app where I can read video properties? Thanks
  3. *Only 345 actuations since new shutter replacement! I am selling my much cherished Sony A7rII with Sony official battery grip plus 2 batteries. Both items come with original boxes and usual accessories. I recently sent the camera to Sony UK to have a brand new shutter fitted along with a new MB Charge Unit and new Mounted C board and also a new SD card door. I have also taken off the rear protection for the LCD screen and replaced it with a new one. This camera is functioning like new, ready to go to work! Included in the sale: Sony A7rII Body Sony Battery Grip VG-C2EM 2 x NP-FW50 Batteries Battery Charger Shoulder Strap Body Cap Sony Multi Interface Shoe Cap Cable Protector Micro USB Cable The overall condition is good but for a few small marks on the front where I had it in a cage when filming. Please see photos. I'm based in France and will post to European Union and consider elsewhere although postage will be higher. €1200 Any questions please ask!
  4. Hey Andrew when did you make the claim for the upgrade? I just made mine today and it said it could take up to 28 days! I had no idea they'd be sending it out in a an actual packet! I imagine all claims will be checked individually by 'hand', I mean how many man hours does it take to validate all claims considering all units sold plus shipped out. Unbelievable they don't have a more efficient method of doing this. Careful there, that's got grey import written all over it!

    S1 Anyone?

In case you missed it elsewhere, here's the link: https://promotions.panasonic.co.uk/promotions/promotions/view_terms/299 Go to Claim Now and follow instructions. You must take a photo of sticker on your box with serial & model no. etc and also upload a copy of your receipt of purchase. It says it could take up to 28 days to receive it though.

    S1 Anyone?

Anyone know how long it takes for Panasonic to send upgrade software key? It's been ages since I claimed mine, at least 7 mins...
  7. Looking forward to the July update. This was shot handled in 4K 8-bit with the Natural profile and still gets plenty of dynamic range. Minor exposure adjustments and a touch of Saturation:
  8. You can choose 4:3 in 4K or 6K photo mode. Here's a short vid using 4k Photo mode with 4:3 aspect ratio, Mamiya 105mm and Möller 32/2x Anamorphot. There's no colour correction just very slight exposure adjustments on a few different picture profiles. It would be nice to get 25fps (or 24) atm it's 30 or 60p in 4K and 30 in 6K. It would also be nice to have HLG for this mode. Also, I wonder what bit rate and colour space the file records at in photo mode, anyone know? https://youtu.be/jbZ1AFM2kA8
  9. Slow mo looks pretty good. There's some aliasing on finer details but usable? Maybe. YouTube crushed the hell out of it. A bump in bit rate for 180fps mode would be most welcome in future software update but what they really need to give us is full manual control in 180fps mode, at the minute it's Program auto only! https://youtu.be/SF_COR7p5_Q
  10. Andrew writes For anamorphic users there is a 5K H.265 video mode in 3:2 (and I believe 4:3 as well) Isn't this anamorphic mode in all but name? Anyone know how many fps it is?
  11. Selling a Möller Anamorphot 32/2x. This is quite a rare scope but what makes this even more rare is that it has Gold/Orange/Purple flares! I've owned several of these over the last few years and this is the only one I've ever seen with these warm flares. The bad: The glass is not perfect. There is slight coating loss on the back element due to previous overzealous cleaning and the front has some micro marks most likely by the same cause. The good: The image is beautiful with above 'bad' having absolutely no affect whatsoever. In fact the spectacular flares are probably due to this. When direct light hits this, it lights up like Christmas. It's a very sharp scope with great vintage ana look. Please watch some tests here: Selling for €450 Please DM me if you've any questions. Thanks
  12. Time for my a7rII to go to pastures new. Originally bought in Calumet UK so not grey import. In good condition with a few small marks on body where I had it attached to the Tilta cage and very few rub marks on back LCD, barely noticeable and invisible when LCD is on. Has been well looked after. I have used it for a music video, short film (recently shown in a gallery in Paris on a huge screen, 4K image was ?) portraiture/lifestyle photography, interior and architectural photography. Can be seen on my website foodforthought.tech Functions perfectly. Will post from France to Europe + States with insured shipping only. Included in sale: Sony a7rII Body Body Cap Battery Charger (I will supply UK or Euro power cord depending on your location) 2 original Sony batteries + 3 generic batteries Shoulder Strap Micro USB Cable Cable Protector Original Box Sony a7rII Manual Also for sale is a Tilta cage for the a7rII/a7sII: Quick Release Top Handle Sony a7rII - a7sII Cage Quick Release Base Plate Lens Converter Ring Support 2x 30cm Rods Sony a7rII: €1700 Tilta Cage: €250
  13. The kit certainly looks good but how about functionality, have you hooked this up with a follow focus? How sturdy is it? I've seen Rapido's videos of pulling focus (https://vimeo.com/256545617 - https://vimeo.com/256545577) and it's all over the place, presumably done by hand as focus inches along in short increments.
