Very interesting. Colors look nice an neutral in j-log. Not the flatest profile, reminds me alot of cinestyle canon footage, actually everything looks very canon like to me. The DR looks very decent, 10+ stops?

To bad there is no v-log for g7. It seems it would be the better sensor for it.

This is great news! If the 2.5k turns out to be good it will be a valid tool if the flat profile can be ambeded as well.

Me and my generation is so used to it, because we started filming with dslr and it would not bother me that much. It`s excesive, the worst we`ve seen, but I would work with it if everything else was good on the camera. The 1080p footage is the biggest turn off for me personaly.

cuple it with the atomos samurai or some other SDI recorder and you have the best cinema camera for the money.

I did that with the a7s, atomos ninja and a ~20€ 2k to 4k hdmi adapter. Worked great! I don't see why would that not be possible with the g7.

So in regards of video it's a 4k 24/25p camera to be used on a tripod...4k landscape shooting camera?

Sony keeps rolling out cameras that are a spec tease and BM teases us with the image and never delivers...you can wait for sony to release something worth buying and BM to actually release somethig. Either way it will be a long wait

That clip was horrible all the way...highlights completly blown out etc...

We will see exactly what is up in a week or so. If it turns out to be a lemon, well it's g7 then.

True...it is a 1000€ camera, but it is pretty anoying that something like 1080/60p gets overlooked. We will know in a week I guess.

It's getting so tiresome waiting on a good aps-c mirrorless video camera. will this be another "maybe they fix it the next update" camera? Maybe I should just go for the g7 for the time being...nothing special about it, but what is there seem to work as it should. When is sony being released?

the tokina...you can spot vintage tokinas in a sec. it`s the glow they have and I like it. I have a 28-70 2.8 and looking for the 20-35 2.8 to have a set. The cosmical is definetly sharper in the center and the bokeh it give makes establishing shots feel very dramatic. Reminds me of the pentacon 29 2.8, the edge distortion looks similar as well. Two very diferent lenses, but both have a very strong "look" to it.
