Nikon Z looks the best out of the new offerings to me. I think the lenses are perfect too. 
The faster primes will be 2000$ or more I bet. How is it good to launch with lenses costing more than two grand?
F1.8 is fast enough. More importantly it keeps the lens somewhat small. 
As usual it seems many lust for bragging rights rather than practicality.

This lack lasture spec. 
This omission. 
And a few other odds and ends.

Then.... Canon made a "pretty darn good camera" which beats many others from 2015!

Surprise surprise, the Nikon Z6 is still a better and cheaper camera for us filmmakers than the newly announced Canon EOS R!
Sure, it gained 10bit output and log (just like the Nikon Z6), but it basically is still a Canon 5Dmk4 (which means an awful crop, so why bother buying a FF camera in the first place? And no IBIS!).

If the threshold to inviting people was "would they sell two cameras?"  then even nobodies like me would get an invite! But of course that would never happen. 

Canon's threshold of how much influence a person has over sales is much higher than that.

Failing to leverage the success of their MFT, and large base of GH buyers who are looking to move on up, by screwing up the Panasonic EVA1 launch by only offering it with a competitor's mount. 

Exactly. At least Nikon allows DX lenses on their FX cameras. 

Additionally I'd care a LOT LESS about a crop if it is on a mirrorless mount (than if it is on a DSLR mount).

As opposed to a $500 35mm, a $1100 24-105, a $2300 50 and a $3000 zoom? You're seriously bashing Nikon's initial rollout compared to Canon's? How many are going to buy a $3000 zoom or a $2300 prime over adapting EF lenses? The whole R line is based around Canon shooters adapting their lenses, hence the THREE adapters. Right now they're both counting on existing DSLR users adapting lenses until they round things out. But what's worse is the fact that they've shown zero sensor advancement in the two years since the 5d4 was released. We already know Nikon has 2.8 zooms and a number of primes coming in the next year. All of your Zed bashing are issues Canon has as well, combined with no IBIS and a crappier sensor that's a couple generations behind current Sony offerings.

What is mediocre about 80 lens line up + 100 more third party and if you want you can adapt almost any other lens brand because it has the smallest flange. Before talking such nonsence people should take 5 second and inform themselves so as not to look like a fool.
And tell me what should have the fanboys have wanted that much more than great body and sealing, great/best evf, FF DX 4k, 120 fps fhd, IBIS, great video AF and 10 bit/nlong with my Ninja flame. All of that for $ 2000? Tell me another camera that does that much for this price nowwwwwwwwwwwww, and not some mythical camera that will come in the future and at this price. Because lets be clear the A73 just came out 6 month ago and I don't think it will be upgraded to A74 for at least a year.

That kinda used to the be filming scenario with how easily Canon DSLRs and Sony mirrorless used to heat up....
Anyway, I got Andrew's analogy easily enough. He was pointing that Canon video shooters are meant to put up with something the still's shooters of Canon never would put up with for even one photo!

I make a good living and was ready to hand B&H my CC# for one + the 35 1.8 and the 28-70 F/2.  I told myself I would not if the crop was worse that 1.4-1.5 in UHD.  Canon shot themselves in the foot again.
Canon is like the EX you broke up with a couple years ago - she comes back around every so often - you have a good one night fling and romanticize about the past.  Go out to dinner, talk about the 5d3 raw back in 2013, hop into bed.  Then the next day you hear she's still doing drugs - hasn't changed at all.    There's a reason you two broke up.

Yes, but are you 100% sure it's UHD out and not just 1080p out?  I don't recall any Canon bodies doing UHD HDMI out.

The flip out screen is the hint for vloggers.

They said that all their new lens where design with video in mind. There are only haters that just want to spread all type of fud about Nikon and video. They have put speed setting for the AF in video where you can speed it up or down, this with 10 bit, ibis, Nlog etc. make for a very powerful package for video shooters. They even added a pin in their tripod mount, might seem mundane but try using a dslr or Mirrorless camera a whole day for pro work and you would see how anoying and distracting when your camera is always spinning. If even this they thought about, then they really took video very very seriously.
