  1. @Lucian but he's got the (much) lighter and cheaper +0.5 single element, instead of the doublet +0.4. hehehe
  2. you'll find all you'll ever need about close ups here: >http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2570- how they work, brands, threads, etc. :)
  3. So, in the previous thread, I thought those were all, but after A LOT of thinking, and facing sadness, I decided to let the LOMOs out. Paypal only. In case of questions, PM me here or shoot an email to ferradans@gmail.com 1. LOMO Foton-A 37-140mm T/4.4 Full Kit (2x stretch, cinema lens) Literally with tears in my eyes, I'm letting this beauty go. Bought less than a year ago, went straight to Olex in Ukraine for mods and servicing. Aperture ring has been declicked, standard gears were installed in both focus and zoom rings, front and back were perfectly collimated and support system was altered for 15mm rigs, mount was OCT-18 and converted to OCT-19. Everything is perfectly smooth in it. It comes in the original Foton-A briefcase, with multiple filters, front and back covers for anamorphic block and spherical part, also a +1 Foton-A diopter (which is almost impossible to find nowadays), a couple color filters and a lever for focusing the anamorphic. The briefcase also contains the original support system, in case the buyer wants to reverse it. The whole case weights around 8kg. The back of the anamorphic part shows some faint fungus, but doesn't affect image quality. Olex himself evaluated it and said it would cost too much to repair, for too little image improvement. And, oh, what lovely images it does produce! (by the way, in the images below, there is a lot of dust in the glass: it's all outside, I was in a bit of a hurry when shooting these) I also include an OCT-19 to Canon EF, ciecio7 adapter, which sells for about $400 on ebay. Here's a link to a short project I shot entirely with it, combined with a Canon 50D RAW:
  4. Part 2! All the night parts were done using m42 russian glass, iscorama and a 5D3 shooting raw. Lighting was mainly practical with flames, a couple flashlights and one "Kick" led panel (from kickstarter). we're currently moving towards an 8-episode first season, to be shot during May, using BMPCC and anamorphic lenses (Iscorama and Foton-A). :)
  5. My Iscorama is coming back to Brasil. It spent almost 90 days at Van Diemen, and I was almost sure they would miss their deadline, but fortunately they didn't. Can't wait until it arrives.
  6. I'll break the kit for the Panasonic and will rearrange all the smaller stuff I still have left. :)
  7. LOMO price adjusted to US$3200 shipped, as well as a whole kit listed (50d + lomo squarefronts)!
  8. Not yet; Was away from home for a couple days, so couldn't reply. I've tried looking into the lens and being sure of 'where' the fungus is, but that's pretty impossible without disassembling it. :( It's certainly behind the first element, but maybe it's in the back of the first, or top of the second. I don't believe it's further than this, because I can actually FOCUS on it, using the rear macro adapter (yes, you can focus inside the lens, but not too much into it, so this is why I believe is in the outmost elements). I think we can deal better, without bothering other forum member with thread ups through email, don't you? Send me a message at ferradans@gmail.com :)
  9. I do believe it's not in the cement between elements and can be cleaned up if removing the front element. :D
  10. there are some pictures right here www.flickr.com/photos/ferradans/sets/72157641554960893/ it's in great shape, rings are smooth. There's only a fungus spot right behind the front element. It's rather small, but it's there.
  11. Not sold yet! Packed and ready though, just waiting for the order. :)
  12. Oh, the 72mm and 77mm adapters weren't enough to cover the front. I used an 86mm one, which has already been sold. I glued a 95-86mm step ring in front, so I could use the filters properly :P Some pictures of how it looked like: '> '> '> '> The glass itself on the Series 9 filters is 83mm wide. :)
  13. I'm getting rid of a bunch Series 9, if you want them! I actually bought them (and plenty of spares) to use with my Hi Fi 2, but ended up selling the lens. I have 72 and 77mm adapter rings for them and some +1, +2 and +3 diopters, tiffen branded. They're 83mm wide, enough to cover the front element of the lens. Send me a message if you're interested! :P
  14. Oh, and LOMO's price lowered to US$3600 (shipped)
  15. I took some samples with the LOMO for a potential buyer, and I'm also sharing them here. The results are pretty obvious: anamorphic back needs adjustments. I have strong reasons to believe that the problem is just a small misalignment between both anamorphic elements in the back, or the distance between them. Both things can be easily fixed since the adapter has screws for these adjustments, but require special equipment (such as a collimator) to ensure the whole thing is gonna be accurate. The filenames are pretty obvious, with almost all important information. First is the focal length, then aperture, focus distance and if anamorphic or not. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/t7g68g9qnmunu7e/sMxrZz2zAe Camera used was a 50D, at ISO160. Shutter was 1/20 for f/3.3, 1/4 for f/8 and 2s for f/22 on the pictures inside the room. For the infinity ones, 1/1600 for f/3.3, 1/250 for f/8 and 1/30 for f/22.
  16. You mean for the LA7200? I would, if I could remove the clamp without risking to damage the lens. :(
  17. I've included a blue redstan iscorama clamp in the kit with the original taking lenses. Just found it here in a hidden pocket. :P
  18. Thanks Rich! :D It seems this baby is going back to you for a pit-stop. Is this the first re-sold FF58? hahaha
  19. Just found something that might interest folks around here, the original 50mm lens that came with my Iscorama. Since it went for rehousing, the original lens isn't gonna be useful to me anymore. It's an infinity-focused f/2.8mm, m42 mount. Aperture ring is a bit stiff when opening from f/4 to f/2.8, and has a few slight marks in the glass. Has front and rear caps. The rehousing will also make useless my blue redstan clamp for the Isco, which is included here. Also, there's a 100mm projector lens that was used to project the images taken with the isco. If someone out there owns a pre-36 isco and would like to complete the kit, I'm letting these three are SOLD! On top of that, I'm sadly letting go my FlareFactory58 EF mount, which has an 2x oval aperture set at f/4, but with unlocked blades (so you can stop it down to f/16, just that would be circular bokeh. Specific details are: blue flares, medium contrast, high glow and low cleaning marks. Due to a bug related to the 5D3, I had to scrap off the electronic chip in the lens. Includes front and rear caps and a custom black lens pouch. Goes for $$$$ (including shipping) - SOLD! And, at LAST, I got a Tiffen 4x4 streak filter. Neutral color (flares assume the light source color), 2mm separation between lines. No scratches, no damage, goes in its original pouch. Great for faking an anamorphic look, without too much money. SOLD! '> (the black mark in the picture is some dirt in the white background not in the glass)
  20. Hey guys! So, I'm selling my last remaining anamorphics, and just keeping the two I like the most. The ones that are going away are pretty good, and rare too, one could say. They're all in great shape, no dents, dust, scratches or fungus. -- UPDATED 05/16/2014 Thanks everyone, all lenses have been sold and I've only kept the Iscorama. Should look for a 2x stretch dual focus setup after a while, but right now I'm just glad people were so honest with buying the lenses I had. :)
  21. I'm currently selling the Century WS-13, if anyone's interested! :)
