In terms of the mic: The TAKSTAR SGC-598 I bought seems pretty decent to me, don't know if/by what name it goes in your region, but here's a link to German Amazon: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00E1CTFZY Just get a cheap boomstick/handle with it.
I couldn't bear to pay that much money for (imho) mediocre mics as the Rode Rycote Videomic/Videomic Pro, I returned them both because I couldn't find the value I had paid for in them. And the retarded 9V blocks...The TAKSTAR sensibly takes AA batteries.
And recorder-wise possibly try a decent Android/iPhone app? Dunno if this would do the trick. The Rode Smartlav/Android combo works nicely for me.
At least for iPhone it seems you need an adapter, though. Dunno about Android, I believe they don't have the complicated setup. If you want me to test this on Android with the Takstar, just give me shout. Canon is repackaging a selection of their DSLRs to appeal more to video producers. Writ large with the phrases "FULL HD" and "SELFIE" the bundles come with one of Rode's cheapest mics and a 32GB SD card. The standard kit zoom (18-55mm) is provided as normal. Prices are anything but low end though with the bundles ranging from a hefty $899 for the T5i to a GH4/NX1 busting $1649 for the 70D.

Like I said,  I don't think it will be that groundbreaking. Pretty much an A7rii with better lowlight. 
But if I can dream a little. The a7s conveniently got 4k roughly about the same time as the Shogun.
The Shogun is finally implementing it's long awaited raw features. First the raw to prores and then the DNG recording. 
When they first said it and at a show last spring  where a bit floaty answering what cameras would take advantage of it my thought was, "this is not primarily for Blackmagic".
One can atleast dream.

So far I like it alot. It's a nice bring along when the Bolex stays at home. It requires roundrtripp for resolve but the workflow is quite fast anyway. 
The detail is probably a little bit the camera but also youtube, the vintage glass and that I didn't ad any sharpening. It was just a quick over all grade with one of my presets and I'm not used to adding sharpening. Will experiment as I learn s-log.
That's one of the reasons I got it, want to get some hands on with s-log. Will hopefully have some "real" grades soon.

Had a quick play with different grades and my C-Mount Zeiss 25mm f1.4 that Im selling.

Brought my new A7ii over the weekend and played around a bit with the stabilization.
I those of you going for the A7sii or A7rii will be very pleased with it. Combined with a rig or support it would be rock solid.
And this is just 3 Axis since I used old vintage glass.

The interesting thing about BSI is the capacity to capture more rays, specially those from bright and/or wideangle lenses designed for film (simetrical wideangles from leica,but also retrofocus lenses that were great on film but bad on digital).

I don't think anyone expects that this camera will take customers from Nikon/Sony/Canon in terms of it's stills quality. However, it is a much needed progression for people already using m43. It may possibly tempt some hybrid users from other formats, but it's not cheap so who knows. They did hobble its features quite a bit on the video side unfortunately.
I will wait and see what GH5 brings, personally. I hope they include (real) video Ibis (and for 4K..) in that. It will be interesting to see if we are going to see a departure in sensor resolution though. I wonder if they dare go to say a 12MP sensor for GH5 to optimize video. That would leave me a bit in a sticky position though, as I like to do both, so I have to determine if a loss of stills resolution would be worth it. 

Finally we can get a glimpse of some footage shot on the Alexa 65 and it looks amazing, Lubezki and a 65mm digital cinema camera is like the perfect combo for a new oscar! 
Can't wait to watch this movie! The cinematography looks amazing, you can really see it's lubezki behind the camera (wide angle and a lot of steady cam reminded me of Children of men and Tree of Life)!
 

All I'll say is just hold off on the exciting pre-order until the reviews come in. Like the A7s, the rolling shutter won't be perfect, and there'll be the typical 8-bit grading problems but personally I love the A7s despite these issues and can work around them. It's been almost a year since I got the camera and I've gotten better and better at filming with it. For the price range of these cameras you're not going to get something perfect. For 4k more, there will still be problems, just different ones.

Anyone expecting a dramatic jump will be seriously disappointed.

Selling a Bolex Moller 8/19/1.5x anamorphot in great, clean condition and as well as a Redstan clamp for $1,200.
Selling it because I just don't use it often enough (bought it about 8 months ago and honestly used it once). I need the money to produce a short film, so I'm parting with it as a result.  It took me about 3 months to track this down when I purchased it and I bought it for $200 more than I am selling it for.

I guess Panasonic still has a huge price advantage, whereas Sony has a huge technology advantage. But the price difference is rather substantial and sony is trying hard go crash Panasonic Prosumer Market (G7 and LX100 in particular).
i guess as long as they keep pushing each other to make better cameras it can only be good news for consumers. But I feel both the LX100 and the RX100 IV could have done with mic ins, even if they didn't have headphone monitoring. Also, I must say againn THE LX100 NEEDS LOG ALONG WITH GH4, EVEN IF THEY CHARGE PEOPLE FOR IT.

True. The GX8 is a bit of a let down for us. Panasonic is really protecting the GH4. The GX8 is clearly aimed at still photographers. But still it beats the crap out of Canon/Nikon/Sony camera's in the same price range when it comes to video...

Looks nice. But no 4K is a deal breaker for me. The NLE options in Resolve 12 (free) are looking very promising.
 
 

@Cinegain Lets hope there will be a Sony A7000, affordable APS-C camera. I'm pretty sure it will get 4K and S-Log. If it gets IBIS too, it will be a GX8 killer...
 
 

Aw damn. I think you're right.

If for nothing else, the prebuilt effects look great.
Just to have access to the muzzle fire alone is worth the space on my hard drive.
