graphicnatured reacted to Oliver Daniel in New music video for British legends "The Damned", shot on GH5
The video was shot with a single GH5 (with a little A6500 in there) in 10 hours, edited, graded and effects done in 4 days (by me).
The new album (last I heard) was at No.7 in the official UK chart.
I'm a big fan of what Panasonic has done with this camera.
That said, the shining star of this video is the band.

GREAT SUGGESTION!  I just installed Kyno.  I know I've become a little slow, but I always struggle with creating clips from my footage in Premiere, or anywhere else, that I can use later.  I always want to do a pre-trim right after I shoot so I remember what I want.  With Kyno, I figured it out in 5 minutes and it has all the options I can think of.  I look at the video, mark my in and out (it scrubs through quickly), then cut the clip (no transcoding) to the same file name + "something that describes what this freakin' clip is" text.  Very exciting piece of software!  For what it's worth, it's as if they read my mind about all the scut-work that makes it so I do far fewer YouTube videos than I'd like.  Again, thanks Axel!!!

Make it 40... to me this camera doesn’t even exist.
Eventually we’ll have footage from John Brawley or Frank Glencairn or Noam Kroll and the footage will look amazing. More people will love it but a few will find something wrong with it...
Eventually card info will be released, and more people will complain.
Eventually AF tests will show up comparing this camera to the PDAF of the a6500 and more people will complain.
Eventually low light tests will show up comparing this camera with the GH5s or the a7sii and more people will complain.
At the end, when it’s released, a bunch of people will complain because they hate that they have to use an IR Cut filter and they will complain that they only get 45-60 minutes of battery life and that they wish it had IBIS...
And eventually the usual suspects will be the only people that have the camera and the footage will be absolutely gorgeous.
    The End.

You know you can decide your shutter on a GoPro with Protune? Gone are the days from the Hero3 where exposure was automatic unless you want that.

The Hero6 is a completely different beast from all other GoPros from an image standpoint. The 4k/60 and 2.7k/120 H265 clips are beautiful. The Stills are also a big step up. Don't know about Europe, but in America it's $399 and that is a great deal for a camera like this. The Yi 4K+ is a better camera than the one you own, but not the Hero6. Don't scrimp on Image and features and regret it later.
Regarding the OP on low light, check this vid from :40 on. GoPro has never been a low light Camera, but the Hero6 between 400-800ISO is improved over your cam.

No one is going to argue about DR superiority of the UM4.6K with 15 stops advertised instead of 12 for the 4K. It's also got a wider ISO range.
All i'm saying is if you're allergic to rolling shutter and again want a 4K Super 35mm Sensor with Global Shutter then the UM4K/BMPC4K are a good deal.
The F55 is literally 10 times retail of the UM4K and 20 times a used BMPC4K. Just sayin'

I thought they’d already discontinued the pocket ?  Watch that become a cult camera if it isn’t already.
I think they’ll keep the micro going for some time.  It’s really a different camera.
In the photo above the camera has a wooden camera cage, a Noga arm and a BMD 5” VA as the operating monitor. On front is the SLR Magic 10mm T2.1.  I’m manually focussing myself, using peaking on the VA.
By way of example almost all of this promo is either Ursa Mini Pro or Micro using that exact rig.
This whole scene is shot Ursa Mini Pro

I have used a LOT of Ursa Mini Pro and Micro in the resident.  Not just as an insert camera, but shooting whole scenes using only the Ursa Mini Pro.  Most scenes have a mix of Ursa Mini Pro and ALexa, and I’d estimate more than 40% of the show is Ursa Mini.
I tend to use the micro camera for these kinds of surgery shots where I can very easily reach into the scene and get super close before diving down to almost inside the surgical field, and then transitioning back to another actor. It keeps it very agile and alive shooting this way.  I’d anticipate the Pocket 2 will replace this rig for these kinds of shots.

    I have no idea.
As far as I recall, they only did that once with the pocket.
And I do love using the pocket / micro to get shots I can't get any other way.

Agreed. If you're at all into post-processing and grading, the BM cameras are godsend, because they leave all the processing off to your own consideration. That's why they come with Resolve included - and I'd dare say it's way more powerful as a processing tool than any in-camera processors.

On the lens debate - 'crappy', 'different strokes for different folks', 'opinion vs facts':
There are a lot of optically superb native M43 lenses. For example the Olympus 12mm f2.0 (Zuiko Digital or so). Had better reviews than SLRM 12mm f1.6 (less distortion, sharper at wide open, less lens flare).
But was not a manual lens. And (my opinion) you should prefer a lens with a good and big focus ring. A 12mm was a 35mm equivalent on the old Pocket, the 'reporter wide'. Now a 16mm (Sigma 16mm f1.4) would be a 30mm. 420 €. Easy choice.
I own the 18-35mm Sigma (once for Nikon, now Canon, swore to never sell it again). Had it with the Pocket MB speedbooster then, made it a 30-58 @ f1.0 (!!!). Practically never changed the lens from then on.
Speed booster Viltrox is just 160 €, will make it effectively a 24-47 @ f1.3:
    Easy choice.
Don't need to go wider, but obviously need a longer lens. Adapter without speedbooster? Didn't look into that, but why not?

Opinion on adapted vintage lenses: good, but you need to become an expert. Don't expect good old lenses to be bargains anymore. People became smart.
Opinion on slow lenses: no. Anything below 2.8 should be considered 'crap' for this kind of camera. This is no Sony.

AF can cause many spoiled gimbal shots, even canon DPAF can mess up your shot at just the crucial moment.
You can pre focus and maintain subject distance and get great shots, even with shallow DOF.
If you need more leeway, stop down a bit.

Cinematographers use diffusion filters on the Alexa and it’s only 2.7K, 3.3K at open gate. The problem is camera resolution has been decided upon by monitor and TV manufacturers. Now if you don’t shoot 4K, your image supposedly doesn’t have enough resolution?
In my opinion, I think a Pocket 2 could have had a 2.5K image and be equally as appealing. 4K at this price point, is usually best for downscaling, so it will be interesting for me to see what the downscale looks like from 4K P2 footage.
But for the most part, I’ll shoot 1080p at the two base ISOs, on a clean sensor, with cheap SD cards. I already have a bunch of Canon batteries for my 5D3, so if battery time is bad (I suspect about 30-45 minutes) I’ll just swap them out. I’ll get a Rode NTG mic, and maybe a couple XLR lavs, for in-camera audio and have an amazing little, run and gun cinema camera... no need to rig up this little beast.

I've got two of those. They work pretty well, but not 100% reliable as far as knowing when a battery is actually full. I still like them though and are my primary chargers for my Micro.

You should be okay. Are your batteries OG Canon or aftermarket? I think this makes a difference. Sometimes looks like batteries are finished charging when they aren't. Sometimes the light won't go on at all so no idea if a certain battery is charging.

Trust me, I have my hands on some ProRes and DNG materials from the camera (acquired from NAB), it's clean af up to about 6400. Noise pattern is very pleasant fine grain, due to lack of compression obviously. The sensor is confirmed to be IMX294CJK, it's the STARVIS line from Sony Semicon with BSI design, originally intended for low light surveillance.
