    shitty lenses?

I use it MF on GH4. It's great! Very easy and positive focussing.
  2. I have https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/319988-REG/K_Tek_KE_89CC_KE_89CC_Avalon_Series_Aluminum.html if you want to have a play with it.

    shitty lenses?

https://goo.gl/kEa8S9 This is a very very nice but cheap lens. Nikkor 50mm 1.8 D
  4. http://www.panasonic.co.nz/promotions/lumix-g-4k-camera-and-lumix-g-lens-bonus-lumix-g-25mm-f17-lens/ New Zealand bonus lens when buying a camera body with any G lens. The fine print says only from JBHiFi and yet photowarehouse.co.nz is now listing the bonus lens deal too. The broad print says Body plus lens but the fine print lists eligible products that include body only.
  5. You guys are so silly. Are you seriously opposed to standard cinema colour grade in post? 1) it looks terrific, 2) it matches the central colours 3) try to be positive to new guys Ignore the sad people Cary, really nice work. Would be happy to have most of it in a TV doco (or indeed a movie). I also liked that it wasn't a serious of random shots, but had a logical story flow.
  6. Bloom just posted saying all the same resolutions as version 4, except records for twice as long.
  7. Yea I covered a few pages with aspect ratio calculations before giving up. Your view is simpler and joins the dots.
  8. Might have been me, haha, I'm also on Facebook. It's been the only thing that's confused the heck out of me. So you're saying the reference to 4:3 and 3:2 does not preclude the possibility of it also covering 16:9. That would certainly join the dots.
  9. What do you mean by this sentence? The press release stated: In the LUMIX GH5, the conventional ‘4K PHOTO’ function is dramatically advanced to form ‘6K PHOTO’*2 which lets the user cut a still image out of ultra-high-quality approx.18-megapixel video with approx. 9 times the pixel count than Full-HD. Taking advantage of its high-speed, long-time burst shooting capability, spur-of-the-moment shots can be saved in beautiful photos with higher resolution that complies with larger-sized printing by substantially increasing the resolution from approx.8-megapixel (4K PHOTO) to approx.18-megapixel (6K PHOTO*2). “6K PHOTO” is a high speed burst shooting function that cuts a still image out of a 4:3 or 3:2 video footage with approx.18-megapixel (Approx.6000 x 3000 effective pixel count) that 6K image manages. The name ‘6K PHOTO’ is tentative. Surely it's straight forward to compare with the current "4K photo" feature and see they are simply referring to high speed 8mp and 18mp photos and is not a reference to the video width standards. This is how it works currently. The dimensions change to maintain the same number of pixels. I mean, I would love for this to be the case, but just this point doesn't make sense to me.
  10. Love the 25mm 1.4 but the 25mm 1.7 is also great. Same warm look, no chromatic aberration at all, same bokeh. They have to release an updated 1.4 surely. It makes no sense to have a arguably better lens as the cheaper one...
  11. DR70D very nice for the price. Love the features, although I don't find the menu system intuitive at all.
  12. As a separate PDF https://www.olympus.co.uk/site/en/c/cameras/om_d_system_cameras/om_d/e_m1_mark_ii/index.pdf
  13. They had pre-launch devices. Undoubtedly DJI forgot to set default focus at infinity on this new feature. It's got nothing to do with idiots. Just a simple setting. No drama.
  14. It's right on the borderline of being terrific. Another update in 6 months and it will be there. A drone that doesn't take the whole back seat. More than enough to tell some cool stories.
  15. Looks like many are setting focus onto themselves when it's close to the ground and not changing to infinity.

    GH5 Prototype

He kind of broke the dream at the end there though. He must of made a mistake when contradicting his entire previous argument. The 6K photo mode is not 16:9. A reminder from the Panasonic Press Release: “6K PHOTO” is a high speed burst shooting function that cuts a still image out of a 4:3 or 3:2 video footage with approx.18-megapixel (Approx.6000 x 3000 effective pixel count) that 6K image manages. The name ‘6K PHOTO’ is tentative. The word "cuts" implies a crop from the normal photo mode - hence 18MP is not full the sensor size.
  17. Nathan and Eva use one and it sounds nice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ8Njxval-o
  18. Mix a little cyanide with water and drink. It's mostly good. But seriously, the reason why I said that was the top of the list has "6k video" which no one has suggested and to put it in a list shows complete ignorance of what the rumors actually are.
  19. Either he or his source is very confused. So ignore.
  20. Helpful to release updated external recorders at this time http://nofilmschool.com/2016/09/atomos-adds-4kp60-hdr-recording-shogun-inferno
  21. Why not covered under house and contents insurance?
  22. Confused people around so to clarify, if the rumor is true: multi-aspect sensor giving 20MP stills. 4:3 aspect 6k photo video mode. 16:9 4k video up to 60fps 10bit with better low light and DR.
  23. But the rumor is that the GH5 will have no 4k video crop from sensor width. Are you saying the sensor is the same and so the GH5 will use the whole 4.6k and then downscale to 4k rather than using a pixel for pixel crop from the middle? Edit: I'm thinking this is all evidence that the GH5 sensor is different from the GX85 and looks to be a multi-aspect sensor designed for 4k video ratios before picture ratio. If the "no 4k crop" applies to the full 4k then UHD would have a small crop just like the difference between the two on the GH4.
