I am not trying to provoke debate. I am just saying that given all the information we have todate the logical thing is Arikhan is just yanking you for a ride.
Also, personally I would much rather be wrong then be played.

Wasn't ML released on April 1st?
I've been in contact with Arikhan. If this is a joke he's been rather convincing both publically and privately. If it turns out to be a bluff, it is what it is, we got played, that's the tradition of April Fool's.
I think whatever the situation, you can't denie this has many of us intrigued, including yourself. A great many of us have felt through out the years of onwership and use that the NX1 had more technical potential then Samsung enabled. I think our very own Andrew Reid would agree. This possible revelation plays right into the hands of these speculations, and if true, its not only good for existing and potential NX1 owners, but the broader mirrorless market altogether. This would perk up the likes Panasonic, Sony and Fuji for sure. It would be a serious call to action.

Jordon Drake is the tall, seemingly uncomfortably in front of the camera guy. The other guy is Chris Niccolls, who has enough hair gel/ hair wax for a an entire village. They actually do a superb job with their reviews.
Jordon implied that the viewfinder had major issues, but as Chris pointed out, he probably exaggerated the claims. They have improved it majorly, even if it isn't in GH5/G6 territory.

I had a fresh look at some old NX1 files because I can now open them natively in latest Mac OS
I was astonished at the high quality of the NX1 h265 files, compared to the Edit Ready converted files I used back at the time (I tried every h265 conversion software)
I think if Mac native h265 had been available at the time the NX1 would have been better received
I think all the DR problems, heavy contrast, highlight clipping you often see on NX1 footage is due to bad h265 conversion software,
the native files look superb on a new High Sierra MacBook Pro

    Yes.
But sadly, I don't think Kickstarter pre-orders are in Samsung's business plan  With their eye on the next trillion dollar shipment of smartphones, and tanks
    Here's another gem...
Make sure Fast Color Corrector to 16-235 is first in the effects chain. Or use 16-235 in NX1 menus (0-255 in menus with correction in post gives you slightly better colour though).

    Blown away by the codec...
This shot had some serious underexposure going on.
At least 3 stops head-room in the highlights.
Brought the shadows up in Premiere and remapped to 16-235 (Fast Color Corrector)
There's almost zero signs of compression in the shadows!! Which came up from invisible.

    This is video.
At the same file size of a Sony, too. Rather than shooting ProRes externally, this is much more convenient.

Absolutely. Also, the chances of dust and other stuff landing on the sensor is enormous, anywhere outside of a very small closed studio.
I saw this beautiful location for a film (we were on a reccee), and I usually change lenses all the time, and almost, inadvertently changed lenses here. Luckily I didn't, cause this is like a mini canyon, with sand and dust, and that would have been the end of the reccee.

Same here. I have several primes but in interview situations have always relied on dialing in the focal length with the zoom. It's just so much easier, especially when you have space constraints in the field.

I think Olympus makes some seriously amazing lenses.
I would love to see Panasonic make some super fast zooms (f2.0 or faster). I see no reason why they shouldn't be developing super fast zooms. I love primes, but it's a nuisance changing lenses on the field.
How about an f2 set (12-40mm and 35-110mm equivalent) and an f2.8 12-80mm equivalent.

Of all the camera companies on the market, I actually believe Panasonic will be the next to bail out of the consumer/prosumer camera business. I assume the GH line will be moved up to their cinema division by the release of the GH6 and with it... a price increase.
But to stay on topic, I think the Terra 4K is really exciting and has a beautiful image... a true cinematic image at a reasonable price point... and I’d love for Kinefinity to take on BM where it will hurts... the Pocket Cinema Camera niche.

I thought the Dynamic Range was substantially improved after the firmware update.
I remember reading the Exynos 9810 specs to be a 24MP for Rear and Front Cameras (down from 28MP in the Exynos 8895). I am sure the exact camera specs can eadily be changed with a minor ISP refit. Also, everyone knows the Exynos 9810 can do both 10-bit video and high frame rate 4k.
If even 75% of this rumour is true, Samsung is going to be back in the race.
Like someone mentioned in 43rumors.com, Samsung should just buy out Nikon, and leverage that for a long term goal.

@Damphousse dude! we are far from burned! most friends and professionals have changed 2-3 systems since 2014 in search of a better system, and I am confident in my equipment for at least a year or two! 16 and 20mgpxls were the sensor's technology back then, and for some even now, Super Amoled EVFs and touch screens were a luxury or a total miss, and for some even now, uncroped APS-C 4K/no overheating/H265 are still novelties (even latest A6500 does not comply). The first and truest pro APS-C mirrorless (until A9 and A7Riii). NX1 was a hybrid for the future (which is now!).
We tend to forget that products and companies are pushing the envelope. Back then, the GH4 was a big step forward, I have friends now saying the worst things about that camera, but they forget what were the other options, really. GH5, the same. NX1 was such a camera. We have to look at history when is happening, not of what we wish could have happened (history is my hobby!).
@Andrew Reid If anyone could do a prototype such this, then Samsung would be the one. The newer processor is so much powerful (eating Snapdragons for lunch and dinner!), and I am sure they would have optimized their older chips where it counted. They have unlimited resources and mobile phone cameras is one of the strongest selling point in that industry right now, and in the near future.
NX1 was made exclusively by Samsung, in house, and in most components (SAMOLEDs, touch interfaces, RAM, mobile processors and efficiency, data transfer etc) are the best in business, not just good.

Interesting post today at Mirrorless Rumors. I actually don't believe Samsung is going to bring back their camera line back.  But the CPU numbers match the claimed speck.
I would rate this as 5-10% plausible, but you never know with Samsung

They actually lowered the lens brightness from f2.2 on the Mavic Pro to f2.8 on the Mavic air. So it gets 3/4th of a stop less light that the Mavic Pro (I hope those are the correct figures).
The slightly under-exposed videos were mildly apparent.
Apart from that, it seems way better than the Mavic Pro and the Spark, for the buck.

I know people have relaced the broken Mavic Pro lens, which has requires a little effort because 2 screws and one electrical connection point are involved. I wonder if the Mavic Pro lens could be fitted on the Mavic Air.

That one's actually a regurgitated Hubsan X4 at about 3 or 4 times the price with a 720p camera.
Btw some Chinese guy hacked the camera on the Hubsan and changed it with a much higher res model. And i think the module was available ovet the shelf for like $10 or $20.

Very unlikely. One inch sensor would require a larger camera and lens, thus bigger motors and gimbal to handle the load with higher ground clearance and larger vibration dampening system (=higher skids, bigger battery to handle the front heavy CG, etc.). There no free meal. I'm not sure that you can design a compact drone like the Mavic with a one inch sensor.
The Typhoon Plus is interesting, the main point of this drone is redundancy. Thanks to it's 6 motors, the Typhoon can withstand a single propeller, ESC, or motor failure whereas any quadcopter would spin-crash to death in case of prop/motor failure (note: the Inspire 2 has ESC redundancy).
Unfortunately I doubt that Autel and Walkera can shake DJI technological and commercial advantage. Autel is facing DJI lawsuit and they announced drones in the past that failed to materialized (X-Star 3 & Venture II). They are lagging in terms of technology. Their RC link are way behind DJI lightbrige and ocusync digital links. The Typhoon plus is based on a classical PX4 flight controller.
DJI owns the market. The pathetic attempts like the 3DR Solo and the GoPro Karma have been commercial failures. DJI will probably announce a new Phantom or an updated Mavic (higher bitrate, etc.). Perhaps a new Osmo or X7 compatibility.

    Wait... what?

Well you can see on the side it says 8.2mm for one of them, which makes much more sense of a lens for a 1" sensor.

But why the hell does my google sleuthing bring up nothing about this when I was looking earlier, and why do none of the other videos say this?

As a 1" foldable drone would be big news, they'd be shouting this from the rooftops if so! Surely??
Indeed, if true, the next question is if the camera quality from that 1" sensor is as good as the specs might promise.
Next DJI Press conference is on Jan 23rd, we might see a DJI response any moment now.

I want to see the difference between this and the A7sii in rolling shutter.
The IBIS can be replaced to some extent for low light street videography (wherein your camera and gear won't be visible enough) by using something like new Ronin-S (which btw you could make even smaller by 6-7 inches or so, by removing the lower bit and mounting on something tiny).
I guess there are work arounds to the IBIS, and Panasonic just wanted to squeeze out the Mazimum Possible real estate from the sensor, to push it into and beyond Full Frane Low light territory. And they seem to have succeeded. While in 2:3 photo modes it may not be apparent, but in 16:9 video the difference in crop between the GH5 and GH5s would be very noticeable (even with the multi-aspect video preserving crop on the GH5). ["The Four Thirds sensor wastes 25% of the sensor area when cropping to video mode, and 7.4% of the image circle (diagonally). The APS-C, on the other hand, wastes only 16% of the sensor size, and 4.5% of the image circle.")]. I am guessing this 25% is huge for low light.
    http://m43photo.blogspot.in/2013/05/multi-aspect-sensor.html?m=1

I also think some crazy over-sized lens designs (floating lens element in a super wide diametre lens) on M43 could add quite a few stops of stabilization. Maybe that's thr Next Tech Development in M43.
Low light and AF were the ONLY weaknesses of Panasonic IMHO, and it seems to have addressed one of those pretty well.
