Isn't all your personal issues with the image moot when you factor in the ability to add your own lut, thus giving you the color you want SOOC?

Yeah I need to create my own lut, as so far I have not found one with good contrast. Have not tried baking in a lut.

as @newfoundmass said above, you can do your own thing and it’s easier than ever these days.

Too much weight given to SOOC colour science…
