  1. Probably cost. The specs explain the $10k price tag, but it also probably covers the increase in sensor costs since the camera itself isn't wildly different than previous URSA cameras, using most of the same tech.
  2. I'm sorry, I can't hate a dog picture... Putting in my pre-order.
  3. I'm impressed that a camera didn't overheat in air conditioned buildings.
  4. You're not wrong, I was just sharing my experience.
  5. When I had issues with the OG Pocket I had to deal with them over email, but they were pretty quick to handle things. I sent them the camera, they said they couldn't fix it but would send me a new one, which arrived in 2 days. I don't think it took longer than 10 business days total, which for me wasn't bad at all though for high end clients they might need quicker turn around times.
  6. Proof? And why do you care if others want to talk about it?
  7. Armando is such a shill. Are these shipping yet, or was he rewarded for that embarrassing video where he defended the overheating and mocked those that were concerned about it?
  8. I have no desire to have multiple different camera set ups for my work. I'm quite happy with my Panasonic cameras, they check all the boxes currently for my pro-wrestling, commercial, wedding, and corporate work. I'm not using my gimbal for pro-wrestling where I'm running around a venue for 4 hours 🤣 I'm not the one that started the thread, I was just giving my experience to the OP.
  9. I need IBIS because I shoot handheld in active situations. Canon IBIS wasn't around when I made my post. Fuji's 4K is lovely, but their exposure stepping is jarring. Again, for my uses, that's kind of a deal breaker. Recording limits are the ultimate deal breaker for me. I need to be able to record for hours straight. Non negotiable. Like I said, Fuji intrigues me but they don't check all the boxes yet. Once they work the kinks out there's a good chance I'll invest in the system, their colors are my favorite.
  10. I think I confused it with the Deity that @Thomas Hill mentioned!
  11. Can we get rid of these anonymous "experts" and bring back your @Mattias Burling's and @John Brawley's please?
  12. You're deflecting. Indeed they aren't all the same, but there's also a hell of a lot of difference between PLASTIC and MAGNESIUM ALLOY, and you made it real clear that you had no idea what the camera was even made out of before critiquing it for being "plastic" and suggesting they add $5000 to the price. So yeah, "dude," you were clearly talking out of your ass and won't even admit it.
  13. "Dude" you literally called it plastic multiple times and didn't know the camera was metal. You've been talking out of your ass.
  14. Again, it is a magnesium alloy body! At least do your research, jeez.
  15. Holy shit, are we really complaining about how it looks now? It's not going to win any awards, but it looks fine. All the buttons are easily accessible and it's easily rigged up. Are we really gonna pretend that RED cameras are good looking? They're boxes with a mid 2000s gun anesthetic.
  16. Kinda crazy how much used GH2's are going for on eBay here in the US!
  17. That footage looks stunning. You're really reaching.
  18. Most of the gear discussed here is out of a lot of people's budget. Your point? In the last 18 or so months they've released two cameras geared toward the indie market.
  19. It's not an overnight process. It's priced where it's priced to entice others to take a chance on it, show what it's capable of, and hopefully win over bigger and bigger productions. They've already made inroads there, and this is the latest attempt to get higher profile users. I think they'll succeed.
