Yes Panasonic G7 and an Adapter for your Lens is all you need, bought mine New for $520 AUD, they're just the bargain of the century atm and has the same 4K image as the GH4 except no VLOG as yet. It's all you need.

Shot this on the red one mx -

The Red One MX - dynamic range is not there, but it has a look, some kind of unique look - not like film, not like the alexa, but it's own look - older but its there - something nice, kind of like the what's that camera from China - the Kinefiniti

shot with red zoom lensses - 18-50 + 50=150 plus ultra contrast 1 - man that flares nicely.
ultra con gives such amazing flares - where have you been my whole life.
So screw new cameras, get an old used camera and mess around with it.
    shot at 640 ISO, 4.5k , and that's it
11 stops dynamic range, 10 stops?  who knows, who cares.
it works - it doesn't overheat.  it doesn't shoot slo motion unless you crop it but the motion cadence feels right, not like a videogame like the dragon or weapon or slimer new camera they have.
find its weaknesses, find its strengths and shoot some stuff.
don't be afraid to go into the past and be made fun of, and who cares, just work with your camera as best as you can, and make mistakes constantly and try to get better.
lord knows how i screwed this one up, i should have done more wideshots and had more variety of poses of people

    Sony have always done this.
    Look up Betamax Vs VHS.
They always design proprietary media for the same reasons.  Notice all Sony cameras use proprietary media.
Canon don't allow their mount to be used.  But the patent for EF mount rannout around the time you started seeing other cameras in EF mount...2012 :-)
You'll notice BM don't say that they support EF-S because that's technically still protected.
Canon still don't share EF protocols which is why you see issues with support for iris and IS on some lenses.

Sony only license other lens makers.  They will never allow another camera manufacturer to make an E mount camera.

Well, E mount does seem the best supported for aftermarket active adapters, nice short flange distance - who says E mount is not available? EF was, so why not E.. do you know that Sony won't license the mount?

As a designer, I've actually been surprised quite a few times by non-techy creatives and business people making really good looking stuff - and quickly - with Keynote. It's excellent for presentations and presenting ideas.

With no notable benefit over the existing MFT, that *is* open and available (unlike E mount, which is *NOT*).

It really is that simple. Is stupendous you keep on hammering on about E mount.

    First post here!
Have been hunting round for a field monitor for the micro cinema camera.
I'm wanting nothing larger than 5 inch screen and have been checking out ikan VL35, VL5e (is Portkeys the same but different buttons?)
Or perhaps BMs very own VA or Lilliput Q5.
Be good to know what others are using or any thoughts.

are you using a mac or a pc? ipad/tablet? you prolly already have software thatll work fine, not quite as simple as drag and drop, although Pages on a mac is pretty close
anyway, this stuff is super simple. i bet if you tried using ~any~ word processing app you could do this just fine... its just some text and photos! dont be intimidated i promise its super simple

If you have Mac, I'd recommend Keynote. Then you can run it both as a presentation - as well as export to PDF for digital delivery.

There is storyboard specific software, but as mentioned pages or word works fine. You could create a custom template (or just modify an existing one) with photo and text boxes, so when you drag images they resize to fit the box automatically.
Edit - a quick google search shows others have already done the work, find your favorite and bust a move.

crappy shit. overpriced and shitty video spec. Same thing with good 4K and CLOG would have been a monster.
Maybe with the FF version coming soon we will have better luck. Oh wait... it will have 5DIV sensor and same video specs AKA no CLOG and awful crop. Thanks but no.
Let's see now Sony A9 and nikon mirrorless... 2017 here we come

    This isn't HD - it's like a pirated stream at 360p.
That quality is absolutely terrible - my Canon XHA1 from 2008 shot better HD than this.
To release this as a "launch movie" is crazy.
Hopefully, like every camera launch movie, the person who made it hasn't done the camera justice.

This is one of the reasons I'm going to sell the GX85 for the M5. The 5-Axis in the XC10 is almost as good as a steadicam.

A Pocket/BMCC hybrid with Global Shutter (or just improved RS like the Micro), would be the way to go.
It'll be bigger than the Pocket, but smaller than the BMCC & have better battery life, screen & a cooling system to get 60p - it won't be 4k, but 2.5k in RAW & 1080p ProRes. This would be perfect.....
