Word. I think it is more cheap talk to somehow fulfill his review. Northrup style BTW :-)

hehe It happened with me in the first google search attempts to follow news about : D Great camera of good memory BTW :-) Do you still remember those two versions of same camera?

Why don't you take all that for the private realm? (proper exchange of email addresses would be a good beginning to keep going the issue out there as you wish; we are all entitled to have our preferences, likes and hates, only that in the right corner because forums really need healthy vibes and beats instead)
On the real topic, here's more from and about the tool (it doesn't deserve the presence of people interested to discuss anything else including something of their very own -- personal agendas, old, new, etc but not the camera at all as seems so):

Yes. Thats exactly what is allowed. But you didn't live by that standard. You ridiculed people's personal opinions and tried to push your own opinions as facts. If thats not a fanboy its at least the closest thing to it in my book.
And please stop dragging me into this conversation. Im done since long ago, you made my ignore list same day as I encouraged you to use it on me. But like I said earlier, I will check in and I will react to cheap shots.

my point exactly, however, i am not sure the list was that constructive at all... as yet again he berates Fuji ergonomics even going as far as "to encourage photographers to think about whether an aperture ring is really more efficient than a thumbwheel" which indeed should be perceived as flaming since the aperture ring (and ISO/SS dials which he also likes to complain about) are inherent core elements of the Fuji X system. the list also suggests "Fuji might have made better use of the LCD screen real estate" as I believe the LCD icons are too small for his eyesight (?), yet he disregards H1 addressing that with the new top sub-monitor giving clear settings info (even when the camera is off!) and allowing the back LCD to be clutter-free. the rest of the list "reminds", "speculates" & "alerts"... anyways, I just find it all reeks of negative bias, and has all been stated over & over which is why i called him out on that..
must agree this thread is definitely a dead-end mess. SMH

Thought to myself, "I'll go to the X-H1 thread and talk about some of the assumptions about Fuji AF being substandard versus my contrary experience of of the AF using the X-T2 for some very demanding tasks and also my tests of the Face Detect AF on it last year and....."
Well, then I opened the thread....

I quite like the slight cyan shift in the blue skies, almost like a touch of that orangy blue look you see a lot of but in a good way.
I think the Eterna profile with the extra dynamic range mode could be a great route to a pretty cinematic image for those with limited colour skill or less time (both me). I think having a great deal of the look baked in helps with the 8 bit too, i think its quite a unique feature for this camera.
Hope im not droning on too much. Just buzzing about having placed my pre order (never done that before)

@jonpais a crime no. but stating the above repeatedly over & over is excessive and reeks of negative bias. you've made these points clear pages ago, why not give it a rest and move on? camera clearly isn't for you.. me personally none of what you list there is even close to being a deal breaker and aperture ring control (along the ISO/SS top dials) is what drew me to Fuji in the first place.. different strokes for different folks

Yeah. I‘ll probably stop coming here. My camera should arrive March 1.
It‘s probably better to learn how to work with it instead of being told what it can‘t do and that it doesn‘t stack up to the competition here.

it says „Filmed on FUJIFILM X-H1“
It feels, like most of those Fuji X Photographers got 2 copies of the camera. One to shoot and one to film it. Sith limited time and most of them being photographers and not film makers I am honestly impressed, that there are even some good looking videos coming out. Fuji should really think about limiting the quantity and go for more quality of promo videos,

Just been catching up on the video clips and reviews for this camera. I think i will give it a go, i have a gh5 and my use is 60% video 40% stills. I had been thinking about picking up a seperate stills cam but this has the potential to be a better hybrid than the gh5 for me and my priorities. Im loving the general colour/tone/vibe of a lot of the footage which means more than 10 bit to me ( altho i wish it was 10 bit ).
I will pick it up before selling my gh5 just incase im wrong or change my mind. Quite excited though

Haha I don't know what your objective in this thread is really.. Are you trying to pull everyone to buying an NX1? Since the camera is several years old, I reckon many readers have already considered it and skipped past it (or tried it already).
The NX1 is actually 550g without battery (http://www.samsung.com/uk/cameras/nx1-16-50mm-premium-s-lens/). The battery is 80g http://www.samsung.com/au/camera-accessories/nx-battery-bp1900/ which brings the total to 630g, so still less than the Fuji but not 123g less

Some of those results look extremely nice, others bad. Personally I will just test it for myself, most cameras require days up to weeks learning, so you get the most out of them.

    It's a bit salty.
Apparently this camera has caused quite some controversy here. I'm not sure any camera, or "thing" is quite worth all the shade that's been thrown around on this topic. You either like this camera, or you don't, or are unsure or indifferent. I'm not sure what all the fuss is really about. My guess is something underlying.

Fujifilm designers have said themselves that the X-H1 is first and foremost a stills camera (as is the rest of the X system). They’re really incredible for stills.
Sure the underlying sensor can be found elsewhere but then there are the lenses and the fantastic image quality resulting from a unique imaging chain with things like xtrans and the film simulations.
The X-H1 is not a video camera like the GH5.
It’s a fantastic stills camera with good video functions.
A better and more relevant comparison would be with the Panasonic G9 or the OMD EM1ii or A7riii.
The best thing with Fujifilm are the ergonomics. I come from a fine art background and artists I know are switching to Fujifilm en masse because they are easy to use. One can see the shutter, aperture and ISO at all time and it really can’t be understated how important this is. Important for the creative process but also fun to use!
It was also suggested that people who prefer this type of ergonomics somehow have lesser taste or poor understanding of design. A preference for dials was linked to poor typography and dysfunctional democracy. That is an unfair thing to say. People work differently, think differently and what works best for some doesn’t work at all for others. Fujifilm ergonomics are without peers. They are decidedly more fun to use and easier to understand.

I'm a hybrid artist. none of mentioned options) one of a time i was d3s lover but that was... different age, none of love is left in current specs days, y'know pal. still loved every camera I had but that's not a feeling of a lover, just a user who's distantly looking at naked digital data. And i was looking for gh5s with high interrest: almost ff proper anamorphic mode, 240 fps, so juicy. But after its showed up I was like "eh, I can live with x-t2's 100Mb 8bit and fuji color (and a nice codec; I'm really liked the way it work), I don't want to use recorder to really get some advantage of 10bit and spend tremendous amount of money  for new body,  overpriced average ois lenses, speedbooster and super speedy fancy sd cards [ when I don't want recorder at all]" GUYS PLZ DONT THINK I WANT TO DISCUSS SOMETHING ABOUT GH5/S)). I don't)
Oh , and Fuji is always looking awesome: solid retro without any soap-look.
Oh, did I mentioned I'm a hybrid artist [ and a Panasonic is no competitor here at all ] ? [ this is a $10 handmade lens on x-t2 ]

I really don't get it. 2 years ago Fujis were probably the worst cameras you could get for video. Heavy moire, missing sharpness, no control over settings. The X-T2 changed a lot of it. The image quality was very nice and it added some controls.
And now, the X-H1 adds another bunch of nice features. No, it doesn't do 60fps or 10bit, but as a whole I think the camera looks very nice. It seems they improved the autofocus, they added a lot of features like 1/48s, linear response of focus or internal Log and added hardware like IBIS and the touch screen.
No, it's not a GH5 killer, but I don't think it's supposed to be. "Jack of all trades, master of none", seems fitting. It's mildly cropped APS-C sensor won't match the low light performance of an A7S but it will be better than the GH5. Might be very close to the GH5s though. It's improved autofocus will probably not match canons dual pixel, but it might just be up there with Sony, close behind. And it doesn't have waveform or zebras yet (slashcam says Fuji might add those in an upcoming firmwareupdate) but it does have a lot of other small things, like the internal log profile, the 200Mbit/s codec, the DCI 4K option, 1/48s shutter speed, timecode, tally light and so on. And all of that with the very nice Fuji colors. To me it feels like a camera that might be very interesting to people shooting not video only, but both, photos and videos.

It took Sony years and multiple releases of consumer and pro (fs7) cameras before they became more dominant over Canon in the budget filmmaking sector. Can't expect Fuji to do the same with just one release

LOL What have you written, Dennis?! Don't dare to say a Fuji camera is better than any of the usual suspects when people already left their pennies for, especially in such sensitive case... Don't you see is soooo videoy here too? hehe Fuji can't be more cinematic than any other because it is not! :X As simple as that :D when people simply don't let it be so... *cough cough* Remember, it is 8-bit! Don't dare to say highlights rolloff are sweet and look like smoother than GH5 either. Even if you and me, we have been two of the best supporters Panasonic may afford... without demanding payback points to redeem whatsoever ;-)
