  1. Thank you :D I use mostly the Samyang 14mm f2.8 and 24mm f1.4, however, I recently sold everything and am now rocking a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8. Thanks :D I editted in premiere and then exported to AE for the transitions, I still havent found any plugin that makes this automatically, so I do it manually (scale/rotation/etc) and then I add blur to make it smooth.
  2. Time to make this topic alive again, comon people, lets get sharing !
  3. I once tried a CameTV with an NX1 and never got it to work, it would simply not ballance with any lens, tried NX1+14mm samyang, 24mm samyang, 50mm canon f1.8 and 35mm f1.4 canon(ultra light!) and none of them worked, it simply wouldnt hold the weight. I then tried with a 600D with 24mm Samyang, also didnt work, but it did work with a 50mm f1.8, Im not sure if it was a faulty unit (it was a friend of mine), but it was a terrible experience. Im thinking now if I jump to the H2 or not, but I will probably wait a bit more and see more reviews.
  4. I just go the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 for my Nx1 (I sold most of my gear, to just have one lens now...travel as light as possible), and am now looking to get a filter...I was just gonna get a protective filter, but I remember someone talking about filters for the NX1 that help to take away that oversharpenned look...What do you guys recommend ?
  5. That is one ugly camera though..
  6. You'd end up carrying a lot of heavy gear/troublesome gear to achieve the same effect. I myself have been holding off so far, I tried a came tv single last week and it didnt work with my nx1 (not even with a pancake lens), but I guess that unit was broken or something. But I might jump in and get a Pilotfly H2 + NX1 + Sigma 18-35mm combo, it should be killer. I want to travel as light as possible, and with the least gear as possible...time you spend mounting your tripod/monopod/sliders/shoulderigs/steady cams and all that is time you could be filming, just the though of having to mount everything already makes me not want to go out and film....but thats just me :p
  7. Shot in 4k and lost so much detail ?! Its werid, but yeah, its the G7..
  8. Id say its either a Sony or a Nikon...Nikon D5300 or something like that ?
  9. But is there any risk just disabeling that ? I just want that, not the recording limit, because I currently have a piece of paper on the lens button, so I can use my nikon glass..
  10. Found this, keeps looking amazing :
  11. Damn this looks great, shes beautifull ! What were your settings for this ?
  12. If you compare to the NX1, its still better...I wouldnt say it broke new grounds.
  13. Is there any tutorial and download link for the hack ? I want to stop getting the lens detached error, to use my cheap Nikon adapters, but cant find the DL link and how to install it..
  14. Some new stuff im working on : All videoframes, im thinking of probably starting that stock footage thing sometime near.
  15. It depends on where you're located, and the whole idea, and the complexity of it all...I currently charge 1,500€ for a music video similar to what I posted earlier, its a low price, specially considering I could be doing much more in other countries, but in Madeira, thats about it, with a few exceptions.
  16. Im considering getting an URSA mini (and I now have an NX1), because it has RAW, 10 bit color,12 stops DR, 4k 60fps and the amazing global shutter...thats enough to keep them both on a separate league IMO.
  17. The problem with the A6300 is the Rolling shutter, its way too high, at least for me.
  18. where did you buy it from, that ships to Europe ? Am also trying to get one, either the DS1 or the H2..
  19. As promised, here are some Before-After + settings on how this was graded : Settings : Saturation : 53 Fade : 30,6 Sharpen: 11,1 Lut - Sunderland (DeLuts) @ 57,4 Intensity Contrast/exposure are done individually, also forgot to turn off grain for some of the before shots, sorry ! Hope you guys like it =)
  20. Something else that pulls me more towards the URSA rather than the BMCC is the lack of slow-mo in any resolutuon on the BMCC, since its something I use quite often even on my NX1. This isnt an investment I will be doing like...this month, probably in a few months, so Ill wait and see if they fix those issues in FW updates. This is a huge investment for me, so I really need to think this through, I will keep my NX1 at least for the rest of the year, and keep doing most jobs with it...but as more high end gigs keep coming, Im thinking I should really invest in something that can produce a real high end look.
  21. Yeah, the ergonomics are kind of a no-no for me, since I like to run n gun without any acessory. Im looking at the URSA, but thats def. not the only option, if you guys can recomend any other camera that I could use for high-end jobs =)
  22. I have asked you many times where you find those prices because I really cant find anywhere near that...not even on Ebay
  23. I have considered, but it seems like a waste to get it at this stage, being such an old system. Also the ergonomics seem quite bad, and having to pay for the speedbooster would make it around the same price as the URSA.
  24. Hi everyone, As some of you may know, i've been working with the NX1 for a few months, and loved every bit of it, and will continue to do so. However, recently with the release of my previous music video, more oportunities came, and now there might (hypothetical) be the oportunity to work with a bigger budget, so I want to use that budget wisely and deliver the best product possible. So thats why im here, asking opinion on people that are on a higher level than me, and have tried lots of gear and that can point me in the right direction. Im thinking what would be the best camera choice to deliver professional grade material, of course that means either Prores 422 or RAW recording with 10bit color, global shutter/very very low shutter speed and what not and decent low light performance (similar to the the NX1 would make me happy). This gear is to be bought (2nd hand or new) because unfortunately, where I live, there are no rental services, so that is out of question, so have in mind future-proof, like 4k is preferable. The URSA 4k seems like an amazing option, has amazing detail, great DR, slow-mo capabilities and the incredible global shutter...but the low-light has me worried. What do you guys recommend, best value-money option ?!
