DJI and its horrible support... Yeah! Don't get me wrong I love the idea and would probably get one, but after 3 month of total nightmares dealing with DJI support I fear the worse.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.
Well, the RX10II cost as much as the AX1000 and it is as bulky as the GH4...  What will make the RX10II superior to the AX1000 beside the S-Log? Better AF like Handycam experience?

Depends. The boosted adapter uses optics that concentrate the image circle and project it onto a smaller surface. This will allow more of the image circle to be seen by the sensor, in turn creating a wider field of view (as well as creating a bit shallower depth of field because of it). Since the light is concentrated it's brighter as well, allowing for a slightly lower ISO to be used for example. So, if you find it hard to get wide shots and have trouble dealing with lowlight, because of the sensor's crop, then the boosted adapter might be your thing.
If you, however, are perfectly fine with the focal range as it is and don't need to go wider or have a need for gathering a bit more light, you should be fine enough with a cheaper adapter without glass. And neither of these have to be from Metabones. There are some focal reducers/lens turbos (with optics) by the likes of Zhongyi and R.J. for example. If you're looking for simpler adapters without optics, you might want to check out Commlite, Novoflex , Kipon, Fotodiox, Fotasy and Fotga to name a few. They won't break the bank either.
There's something to be said for Nikon adapters with Nikon mount lenses. Since the aperture is controlled mechanically, it allows for very basic adapters with a mechanical interlink to the lens in order to open or close the aperture. The thing with some Canon mount lenses is that there are a lot out there that only have electronic control (no aperture ring, no mechanical link)... and there's not really a simple and cheap solution for that, except perhaps for keeping a Canon body around that you have to use for switching lenses only to allow to change the aperture on the lens for use with a third party camera like a Panasonic or Sony through an adapter. There's electronic adapters surely, but they'll cost you. Benefit though is, that with electronic control you might now take advantage of the autofocus and lens stabilization features. So that choice depends on your needs too.

Releasing V-Log in October could only mean that we will not see an upgrade of the GH Series before 2016 and releasing V-Log around this this period is another way to artificially extend the life of the camera and stay relevant. Personally I will most probably have moved to the 7R II or a 7S II (if they ever make one). I really doubt the a GH5 will come with a better Low Light support (A la Sony) that have plagued the GH series since the GH1. (Note that I loved the GH1 and GH4, but better low light support would be terrific)

They are M43 so they will work on any M43 body regardless of the brand.

I am curious how good are these lenses, so if you ever get one, would love to see what they can do!

I had the same problem with 2 Monitors I have, the MustHD 7" and a Cheap one I bought here in Japan. Make sure your HDMI out put is in 4.2.2 10Bit instead of 8. Once I switch to 8 both monitors worked just fine.

    Hi Everyone
I just uploaded a few more videos. You have all de details in a TXT file which will give you the details on each files 30 or 24p, shutter speed, ND or not, ISO...
    https://mega.co.nz/#F!eg1TXKLL!WBv81oNbDStmsc0rYvkPtQ
I will try to shoot low light video, skin and rolling shutter soon.
Also, you will see a "BAD" tag on two files. This tag mean that despite having on the LCD everything perfectly done (AF, Zebra and so on) the result was disappointing.

So far there are a lot of thing that I like on this camera and a lot that I do not like (50/50). I like the fact that you can set a limit on the low and hight aperture range. For example on my 12-35mm I set the lower limit to 2 and the upper limit to 8, since I know that above F8 my lens really sucks (Diffraction). Another thing that I noticed and I will need to test it again is that the LS300 seems to provide a wider zoom (with the same lens) than on my GH4... I will try this more carefully tomorrow, but each time I had to significantly move the LS300 toward the subject in order to achieve the same result as my GH4 was offering.
Finally, and I will go on in details soon on this, but the LS300 give an impressive result in closed environment when you have full control on the lighting and so on. Outside and on the go the LS300 is much more difficult to master and the LCD monitor and viewfinder really does not help.

    Cheers

Here you are my first experience under heavy sunlight with the LS300
    1. Full Auto https://mega.co.nz/#!OktEDASD!-v21Iq-OIT3zOdA9Ld8WKXwN3AKE0e1EuJ2j6zmk4xo
    2. Manual https://mega.co.nz/#!qodSiJqS!HBwMgwbBF-XAdZi9yXpTqbaU2wXk4aLVKxcrGLFcHis
First I will leave the LS300 at home and will go to my shoot with the GH4. I am way more at ease with the GH4 than the LS300. The lack of artificial horizon, no histogram and no real Exposure compensation info on the camera really troubles me and I do not want to risk shooting something and throw it away. I am also biased in a way since I am more costumed to cameras but to give you an example, I had better result in "Manual" mode with the AX100 than this LS300. One thing that I do not like is for example the Internal ND Filter, 1/4, 1/16 and 1/64. Which does not give you any latitude between these numbers pushing you to either increase your shutter speed or F value. Which in both case can either give you its own set of problems. Also, the set of lenses that gave JVC with the Camera are not what I call the best. I have so far better result when using my 15mm Leica or 12.35mm and 35-100mm than with their Olympus thingy.
Finally the example above are straight from the camera SD Card. I haven't yet time to read the manual and as said above I am not confortable yet with the camera. Also remember, I am not a pro and just got the camera Friday night. I will have to struggle at least a week with it in order to be able to start being able to test it like you want me to test it.

Hi Guys... So I received the LS300 yesterday with a fe Olympus lenses (12-50 F3.5-6.3, 45 F1.8, 17 F.18).  I haven't yet the time to really play with the camera but my first impressions are :
    - Cheap quality built. Cheap plastics especially on the side handle part. It feel that the whole stuff is empty inside. Rotating the ND Filters make a cheap clunky noise. Mounted a lens on it is not smooth as like on my GH4 for example.
    - Compact, I like that.
    - I am not sold by the viewfinder.
    - The LCD is "OK" will try in direct sunlight but it does not impress
    - Focus peaking is really great, much better than the GH4 and with it you really feel that you are in control.
    - It may sound stupid but I love the point and touch AF of the GH4, pity that the LS300 does not offer that as well.
The few minutes that I spend with it did not bring the WOW factor that I was expecting and at the price they are asking it in Japan (~4,165 USD) I would personally opt for a 4K URSA Mini than that.

Anyway start playing with it and soon start to experiment with your requests.

This is big, for videography this is seriously big news.
That GH4 peaking is damn misleading, it takes practice to really know when it's in focus at large apertures.
They have my money, i hope they can keep up with the orders.

    The animated version.
-Drag the movie clip on the 'New layer' Icon in the Layer palette. This will duplicate the layer. It's an animated layer.
-Create a Selection for the part of the sky you want to put on top of the lady bug
-With the duplicate layer and the selection active click the 'Layer Mask' icon on the Layer Palette. The 'Layer Mask' is now active on the duplicate layer
-Drag the duplicate layer in place.
-Shorten the timeline for the duplicated clip to your needs.
    The still version.
-Select the part of your footage you want to clone.
-Command C/V. This will paste the selection as a duplicate on top of the original in a new layer. It's not an animated layer.
-Set a sample with the clone tool somewhere in the duplicate layer.
-Make the movie clip layer active and start cloning.
I don't now how FCP works exactly but you should put a masked clip on top of the other (still or animated) and be done with it.

JVC is going to lend me a JVC GY-LS300 for two weeks to give it a try and I was wondering if someone here would be interested that I test a few things for them?
So if you want me to look in something particular on this camera or test something special, let me know! It is also a good way for me to give this camera a good try!

I would really love to get a LX100. This little baby is perfect for shooting nice 4K video when you least expect it and can alway be carried with you. Add a little Baby Manfrotto Tripod and you have a great little camer in your bag. As for the Mic In missing, I will use in this case an external PCM recorder.
As for the Shure LensHopper VP83F. How it is compared to the Panasonic official Mic for the GH4?

Sure. They manually set exposure and WB at the beginning and then let the camera run.
It's kind of a daring concept to expect from viewers to watch this in real time. Nothing unexpected happens, it's like watching paint dry. But I hope you are not determined to repeat this.
You have to experiment. Your GH4 may allow you to set exposure times of 1/15 s (or so). Because you don't actually have a shutter. Motion rendition, of course, would be poor, you'd have effectively 15fps within 30fps (or 12 within 24). You could also combine time lapse (looong exposure times) and rain, something quite unusual. I saw an experimental short film at a festival a few months ago, where the filmmaker showed a busy highway first, then cranked down fps gradually by simultaneously prolonging exposure times. First the cars became ghostly trails, then they disappeared altogether. If you follow any rules how to make the perfect time lapse, the result will be perfectly boring. If you find your own way to do it, it will be interesting ...
