That UHS-II card should be WAY faster than that.  It looks like the camera write speed will be the limiting factor.  Still, 68MB/s should be enough for 500 mbps.
The bigger concern is that Vasile got a "Card Too Slow" error message with one of the fastest UHS-I cards available.  Even if his card would write at only 37MB/s like the Transcend one above, it should have been able to handle up to 200mbps and he said he received the error message at anything above ~95mbps.  Maybe UHS-II cards will double this amount, but it looks like UHS-I cards will see very minimal gain from this hack.

nougat got a reaction from sandro in I think my NX1 is defective, now what?
I had a similar problem with blue splotches showing up at high ISOs and I had to send the camera in to Samsung. They replaced the sensor and a few other parts under the warranty and it's be perfect since.

I seriously don't get they the nx1 is do bad in lowlight while the a6300 can do this
I mean there something wrong with the sensor design or we really need to remove that NR.

Let's put a "1" in front of those numbers and give it a shot!  180 Mbps should do the trick.

Count me in.  I'm willing to contribute $$.
If we could get (1) higher bit rate recording, (2) 1080p 240fps and (3) 4K 60fps, it would be a huge success in my book.  Everything else on Marco's list is gravy.

several things, but for video, most notably:
    - higher bitrate (200)
    - zero nr
    - faster fps (240) at 1080 and/or 720
    - faster fps (60) at 4k
    - crop mode selectable at 4k (ala nx500) for a digital zoom
    - 10 bit
    - 4:2:2 internal rec
    - evf turnable during video
For stills, a lot of things, but especially focus bracketing.

So far its been really good, but admittedly all I've done is a lot of walking test shots. Its much easier to balance/setup than the Defy G2 I previously used, much lighter too. The gimbal weighs a little over 2 lbs with batteries, and my camera brings to total weight to just over 4 pounds. Comes with a nice padded case and an extra set of batteries. All of my tinkering has yet to burn through my first set, so battery life is looking pretty good. What sold me on the DS1 was the 32-bit board, higher load capacity than other one handed gimbals and positive user reports. I'm sure we'll see more gimbals at NAB and such, but I don't know what can be done to improve on the DS1 without adding to its size or cost.
The biggest con for me is the USB charging. I haven't bothered to look for other charging options for the batteries, but the manual says you'll get faster results with a dedicated charger, so there must be something available. Beholder claims 3-4 hours of shooting per charge, so two sets of batteries will easily carry me through any shoot with plenty of juice to spare - even if I only get a couple hours per set. My Mac Pro gives me a "USB Devices Disabled because its using too much power" message when I plug in the batteries which is odd, so I plug it into my wife's crappy old laptop.
I use it with the A7rII and at some point I'll put my A7s on it too. The DS1 combined with the IBIS makes for some crazy smooth walking shots and when doing dolly shots it looks like a slider. You can just turn the handle upside down for low shots or to simulate a jib movement. I'm going to take it on a boat to see how it handles waves at some point.
There's a seller on eBay that will take an offer of $650, I bought from them. No regrets so far.
Apologies to anyone interested in the Nebula for going OT.

In the demonstration with the 5-axis handle, he doesn't simulate the bounce from walking, which is exactly what the 5-axis is designed to correct.  He just smoothly swings it from side to side.  C'mon man!

nougat got a reaction from Beritar in Nikon bought Samsung NX mirrorless tech. End of Samsung NX (?)
LOL.  I'm definitely not a banker and I plan to shoot with these lenses for the next few years until my NX1 is a relic.  I didn't buy them for a monetary return on investment, but I did expect the NX system to live on so I could continue to use these awesome lenses with new Samsung NX2/3/4 bodies for years to come.  It's disappointing that Samsung took that option away and tied the useful life of these lenses to my NX1.

This is all based on a rumor, but I thought the rumor stated that Nikon bought Samsung's camera technology. I don't know, we'll see.
I just think it's naive of some of these guys to think that Nikon is just going to put out the NX2 under the Nikon name, at the same price point, with the same amount of firmware updates and cater to the small Samsung customer base and continue to put out lenses using the, poorly received and reviewed Samsung mount, ignore their millions of satisfied Nikon customers, because Marco and Marc want to continue to get the most out of their Samsung lens investment.
If you are worried about lens depreciation, sell those Samsung lenses and buy some adapters for other lenses because...
    Wait for it...
    The NX mount is dead.
Hell, even 3rd party lens makers stopped, or never started making NX lenses... I wonder why?
I bought the Canon eos-m body, but no lenses. I bought adapters and now I am swimming in them. Every box and bag of equipment has a damn ef-M adapter. Stop the madness.
