Teal and orange? *cough cough* LOL :-)
-
Updated there -- just follow the links : ) More shallow DOF, you say? You can match both GH5 and a6300 / a6500 using a Metabones / Speedbooster type adapter or going with faster glass (large apertures). Other than that, go on Sony's APS-C sensor size camp.

Filmmaking is a combination of circumstances for sure. But, I don't think it is the case of glass here, we both bet ; ) To my eyes, the secret there is on post production, I'd say. Once he says he's not using any NR on post, I guess grading can help him out too. Without mention he refers he's overexposing V-log 1-2 stops in-camera, so maybe that's there a good trick to handle it. Have you already tested the tip?

Beautiful stuff, mate, wisely shot indeed. Kudos to you, keep going the vibe! Art rules :-)

His trademark... former Celica's guy from Melbourne : ) FF lensed on 0.64x SB

Fully agreed :-)

How about your experience? Are the diopters useful or not?
-
I am glad for you! : ) Here's something for your new toy:

Nice your move, man. I like to see people to not neglect old stuff. The art is in your eyes and mind, not in the last technology's missing link. BTW, how much did you get one?

GH5 slow motion comparison (vs sony a6500, A7SII...)
Emanuel replied to Grégory LEROY's topic in Cameras
No comparison but nice 180fps GH5 sample... And very affordable lens: -
Take a look on those low light samples...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSfbbEK359M&spfreload=10 "For those using GH5 with anamorphic lenses, you may have experienced a jitter kind of, while using the in-body stabilizer. I've found the solution related to this & applies only if you use non-electronic lenses, so you have the option to manually give a focal length to the camera (the option appears everytime you switch-on the camera & asks you what focal length you use): Put longer focal length than what you actually use, if you have a 50mm on it, give the info to the camera that you're using an 80mm for example. And the jitter goes away..."

Even though, a very distinct look for sure... ;-)

But the 1.33x 50 version is as large as the 2x version, correct? Any tips from yours?
-
How about comparing with your 1.33x 50 version as far as performance concerns? And for close-up use even without diopters? And with them (diopters)?
-
Right. IBIS is not the beef, though, but handheld use actually.
-
(EDIT ^ up there in the previous post:) *IBIS faulty combination PS: To my and everyone's eyes, I guess, both 2x and 1.33x are distinct worlds and they have nothing in common. Hourses for courses, though. I don't think handheld is the most suitable route for 2x anamorphics.
-
LOL Film and gaming addicted gangs to babble about. My course too ; ) from my 1024x768 collection of home projectors in full HD and 4K now ages for my classics : D Well, I second my two cents on that one that resolution can actually help but on acquisition side IMO, not every time but for future proof when content is not mandatory, I see :-)
-
I don't think it is IBIS faulty IMHO, but certain 2x anamorphics coupled as far as I've seen since the early footage going along from there. Take a look on the adapter 40 compact 1.33x version instead. I guess Jurek, the shooter had used IBIS and does really help without any wobble distortion at all: https://vimeo.com/user2020056

Well, I stand corrected. There are three different versions actually (had forgotten the triplex : D with and without the rangefinder + the compact without it too): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1278825-REG/slr_magic_slra_40133xrf_anamorphot_133x_40.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1262722-REG/slr_magic_slra40_1_33x_anamorphot_40_1_33x_anamorphic_adapter.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1334046-REG/slr_magic_slrac_40133_anamorphot_1_33x_40_adapter.html More two examples here: https://vimeo.com/227004749 https://vimeo.com/227328540
