I had a conversation with a talent in LA I was directing yesterday (I'm in VT.)
The regular question working with remote studios is "how do you want the files?", meaning AIFF, WAV or MP3.
I was saying how surprised I was, several years ago, when people I had worked with over dedicated ISDN lines were suddenly sending MP3 files for broadcast.
It's amazing how quickly high rate MP3s became common place in broadcast production.
So to me, telling them how much of what they hear on radio and TV is MP3 quality.

Sure. That's a mere comparison though. Sound and image don't compare at all as much as hearing and sight are senses of a very different nature. With much distinct limits indeed. See the example between animal species of unrelated kind as far as their sensory system range concerns.
Therefore, perception is the main key element then. That's all about that.

I don't really post here even though I visit several times a week, so I figured I'd post something I made this winter on the GH5. 
 
If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer (I think k the grade is pushed too hard, director's wishes made it go up to 130%.

I used Metabones PL to MFT. Where do you live? I can give you some good references for rental houses that ship individual anamorphics. It’s pretty much the same situation in Chicago where they want you to rent the set.

Nice job. I thought the best shot was the tracking shot (from car?) at 0:14. The music choice really fits too. 

This is where suspension of disbelief comes into play. Due to the stylized nature of the short, I buy it, but for a second, I did think how did she get into the back seat of the car so fast. Either way great directorial hand and ideas in such a small, simple piece!!!

Tripod mostly. I used handheld on a sandbag out of a car window for the following shot.

Very cool idea. I like how you followed her smoke to introduce the other character.  
My only critique would be to slow the pan up to sell the transition of time. 

@AaronChicago Wow that looked killer! Tripod, monopod, gimbal or handheld? Also that shot where the actress is walking were you following her in a car window? Looks really cinematic to my eye- great job!

Aerials were actually stock footage. Not exactly sure which camera was used.
