Hmm, it seems that 2.5K mode is without noise reduction - http://***URL removed***/forums/thread/3992683?page=2
What do I have to check to see this?

Well 120p is where we should see the best improvements since the bitrate really suffers there. It's not the NR.
-
Does the bit rate increase apply to 120p?
-
Just live from chat support. They know nothing about it for the big guys are still keeping this hidden.
QuoteSamsung is not discontinuing the Digital Camera products. Samsung has no statements on it.
-
I wonder if you ask Samsung support now about this if they still have the courage to deny.
-
So it seems that bad quality at high ISO is not the bitrate but the NR inside the camera.

let me be the first to say THANK YOU! The download site does not appear to be working. likely because a bunch of people are trying at the same time lol.
Just out of curiosity what is the original Mbit/sec of the NX1?
Pro is 80Mbit but with that script it seems you can go till 320mbit.
-
We don't even know if the nx1 benchmarks does random or sequential reads. Or if it's threaded. It's complicated.
-
yup and even though size will raise a lot it doesn't matter since sd card are so cheap right now
-
ok thanks... anyway don't be offended but isn't time limit removal the last of our concerns right now? I can't find a reason to use such a powerful cinematic tool to record for such a long time
I wonder why internal storage is so slow...what if we try to enable swapping on the sd card? with fastest cards it shouldn't be a problem I guess

hasn't someone tried to solve this corrupted file thing disabling power saving mode in the dev menu? maybe I've dreamed about it
-
there must be a point when even hevc shows fine details right?
-
I wonder what happens with ISO higher than 1600 with this bitrate.

Any chance for a magnify focus option while recording video with legacy glass?
That should be pretty easy to do.

I will check this out when on the computer and I will post my samples

I was testing out high iso raw stills in the dark and I noticed that I always get two different blue lines at high ISO at the bottom of the image always in the same position. The same lines I get when recording video from iso 3200 that I've been reporting and that some people don't see. Also my 18-200 is doing weird things since it misses focus for stationary objects too much (back or front focusing) and when used continuously it causes "freezes" in the EVF while I zoom in and out... sometimes it completely stops working and the camera won't shoot at all. So I'm sending both to warranty...my question is we all got that lenses are replaced all together since they don't repair them...what will happen with camera body though? Will it replaced as well even if they're discontinued or they will try to fix it or give me a refurbished one?
Anyway does anyone have the problems I described with both the camera and lens?

Youtubes copyright system is so awfull though. People claming videos that are not even theres and videos that dont violate copyright laws.
At least you can use use copyrighted music on there since the major monetizes on videos. I couldn't upload my last videos on vimeo since they got deleted immediately.

Looking forward to it.
I do wish Sony would change their menus, ergonomics, skintones, colour, LOG profile, jello, banding, macroblocking, edge tearing, etc. quite a long list isn't it? You can be assured my coverage won't be a PR smoothie unlike ALL OTHER SITES SEEMINGLY IN EXISTENCE.
Can I just say that Sony have some SUPERB PR people.
we'll see how it compares side by side in low light with the nx1
-
the 16-50 price raised by a lot..Im using the nx1 for stills with af and I must say I miss the optical viewfinder both for the quality and the af missing a lot of shots

Are you sure?
This makes me think, G7's big brother, not A7S II's little brother (the noise starts dancing around everywhere, shadows, highlights, etc, right at ISO 3200 - this is not as a good as the R II in s35 mode even):
OK but compared to the NX1 is way ahead, I mean 12800 is decent, NX1's 3200 stars being unusable.

Inside of ISO 1600, they will be similar. The NX1 video degrades at 3200, whereas the A6300 seems to degrade at 6400. This is not the case for stills.
I have an NX1, and A6000, and they are totally different cameras. The NX1 is a joy to shoot with, higher hit rate on shallow depth of field, easy to use and fun to interact with.
My opinion? As good as the A6300 is, the NX1 retains APS-C champion hybrid status for 2 more years. The only competition will be from the GH5 with 4k 60fps, if they can pull it off, which they will have to do remain in the game.
Are you sure the a6300 degrades from 6400? The sample from cinema 5d shows much more than that!
