If I was one of Japanese camera makers, I would make a collaboration deal with them to have the receiver unite inside the camera. Yea that increases the costs (hardware and license rights), but can be killer feature for a hybrid camera. Sony is too proud to accept any other audio brand superiority over itself. "RODE Inside" alpha? Forget about it. Canon thinks it has enough patent to do that its own way, and the whole idea is too radical for Nikon. 

Sony have the best chance to do it (integrate their own audio reciever) but they didnt, wonder why is that.

I guess if u want 4:2:2 10bit stick with FX30 or R7 

R7 is definitely the bang for the buck as workhorse camera for both still and video.

A6700 is more for casual/hobby camera use like so many people commented on YouTube when it comes to overheating.

For me I buy the camera while I was in Oz because plane ticket + accomondation + camera is the same price as buying camera locally, might as well enjoy myself with a little trip and the camera lol.

This guy have pretty good insight before normal people got their a6700

One reason ZV-E1 last longer than A6700 beccause it only have 12MP sensor so less taxing on cpu than A6700 does even they are the same body.

Everything is very shallow. 

The Apple M1 does 4:2:2 10bit on hardware hence even the basic mac mini can play and edit those 4:2:2 10bit hevc smoothly.  But yeah newer Intel CPU with iGPU make editing those more smoother.

So white ZV-E1 last 50% more recording time than black ZV-E1 under the sun, that's good to know! Well I feel I made the right choice for white coloour (beside looking fancy haha)

And I didnt knew it have firmware last month to improve SteadyShot.

This guy have it worse since he lives in Taiwan which is really hot in summer.  Luckily in NZ summer is like mid 20C so might be alright?

And this comment just to show how clueless some of those people are, of course no one want to see 2hr video, but as a job u are required to cut down to 2min, but you still have to capture the whole 2 hr event/presentation etc anyway.

Yeah, I remember back then Canon get roasted hard, but when Sony does the same its "You" are the one to blame for buying the wrong camera not Sony.

Most of those youtuber really downplayed overheating 

I m glade Canon learned their mistakes and moved on (like giving temperature bar to let you know before hand), but Sony just a warning and then shut off, you don't have estimate when the camera will shut down.

I guess more of those will pop up once the average people got the real world experience.

So FX3 is really what they used for The Creator, no Arri was used.

Well said! I see this type of comment pop all the time, I guess only us "old" people shoot event, speeches under the sun, while new ppl just shoot 5s of b roll and call it a day lol.

When did shooting under the sun become extreme scenario?

I guess by current projection of temperature rise it will be standing under the sun is the extreme condition 😂

SSD do need fan, I get overheating from editing which it disconnect itself from the computer halfway

Under the full sun it overheat in 22min on 4k24p, also if u use internal recording + hdmi out at same time it also overheat nearly 2x faster.

Yeah who the hell films outside sun 🌞  I guess everyone should only film indoors from now on, filming under sun is forbidden 🚫 

S5ii and FX30 with build in fan is probably the only camera that can film under full sun without overheating at this price range.

I do notice some shot is not focused on the face.

After watching Barbie and Oppenhimer i prefer Oppenhimer much more I guess it is my kind of film? I am also keen on Napolean too.

Yeah that way you only need 1 camera instead of 2, and FX30 is quite bit more bulky/heavier than A6700.

As long the fan can fit on the back of the camera it should work regardless of make or model.

I got this pop up from fb feed, I think design wise this is probably the best with build in suction cup instead of velcro to stick on the camera.

As earth getting more hotter I think fan might be mandatory in the future for videos.
