  2. Well, I understand and even second your comment (for some reason you don't find in the title up there "My fav" but only "Fav"... ; ) however, I think these tools are just arriving to stay, I guess whether we like it or not. We have to admit this is impressive no matter how sensible we are to the presence of these tools. Can they be a PITA? Oh, in all likelihood... : ) Better to see them as they are or can be as mere creative refinement when applied in good hands and six hours of work for this sample, as due: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16HdVQ9Acj/?mibextid=wwXIfr I simply hate the current hollywood Marvel trend and alike, they're destroying the art of motion picture. The remaining part left is trying to get a better idea how make it at bright side. The more many-sided we can face it as multiple layers of instruments we're able to add to the orchestra. A bit like distribution windows when the streaming is placing people outside the big screen and the social/aesthetic experience of the movie theatre. At a certain point, can cinema be considered dead or sorta like the painting when photography popped up? ;- ) - EAG

  4. My favourite AI outcome would be for it to fuck right off.
  5. Oddly enough, I actually had a dream last night that I had a Nikon Zf. Based on its excellent performance in that dream, I can concur with @MrSMW that it is a great camera. Then this morning I got an alert that the Zf has been reduced to £1400 on Amazon. This might be a sign. Possibly a sign not to eat cheese before bed as I’ve never had such a vivid dream about a camera before. Particularly not one where I was shooting an intimate portrait of the Loch Ness Monster with it.
  6. Here is an impressive one: https://www.youtube.com/@CommonHub/videos In this case, MidJourney, Runway ML e ElevenLabs have been used according to the sources found:
  7. First time back out with the Zf (late 2023 camera!) shooting stills alongside the A7RV this weekend after ditching it (the Zf) in favour of moving over to the Sony early last year. Glad I bought one back. It’s such a great stills camera, my favourite ever now taking over from my previous faves which were the Fuji X100 series and X Pro2. The Zf is like an X Pro2 on steroids. I need to try it for video because that could be a little bit special…
  8. Posted today elsewhere, here now on topic: Kandao Qoocam 3 Ultra 3D VR180 mod Impressive 10-bit tool -- unique device now without rival or competitor (actually tempted to pull the trigger very likely!), no matter how many doubts on the colour approach we can add on those samples : D to genuinely create envy to AI ; ) https://www.youtube.com/@SilverQi/videos https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1sekbB6vVM0SSW7qlOivcY5bTUtiZlViI
  9. Here is in 2025, released last August, currently modded, the camera/combo for those waiting for the Canon that never came... From the most usual classy expert nowadays:
  10. I see, well in my case I would be using it also for run and gun interviews with only natural light. So dynamic range needs to be great. Not sure my s5ii will make it, allthough according to cined. There is not that much dr difference with the a7siii. Maybe the highlight rolloff is nicer on the a7siii. Not sure. I wished there were more camera stores over here that would let you test stuff in their store.
  11. No, I just shoot travel stuff, so not really the same thing, but having said that it would crush it if you gave it controlled lighting and a fast sharp prime. Shooting in these high DR scenes with available lighting is a torture test compared to an interview where you're rolling out the red carpet and making everything the easiest it could possibly be for the camera. You feeling tempted?

  13. The latest episode of PetaPixel is "Shot on ????????" so... probably this camera. The footage looks about as usual for Chris and Jordan.
  14. Apple has done the same with Final Cut Pro, if you bought it ten years ago you still get free updates.

That would be amazing, thanks. And if anyone has seen any of my shots, they know I love a seaside town!
  16. Watched a few more youtubes, i think i have a better appreciation on anamorphics now. One of the trees in the park in town colouring up for autumn. At first when sirui brought out an anamorphic i thought the flares were too much. I guess its been a couple of years since then, perhaps by the time i decided to get one they changed something inside as i quite like the amount flare i'm getting at the moment. I haven't tried every possibility So there's a chance i may yet encounter some " bolder " flares. Maybe car headlights on dusk will do it, something to try later. A still, 4k 30p with 2.39 (DCI Scope) 3840 x 1608 A short clip, not log. I did play with the colours a little, but i dont think i pushed very hard as i still don't know much. Also the k&f m42 adapter arrived yesterday. I have the takumar 17mm on it. Seems like there is no discernable movement. i may get outside after lunch and get a few photos and video.
  17. Absolute game changer for me personally. I haven't had to use my V-mounts in a minute since buying the LP-E6Ps and I got the grip when I went to go longer.

  20. Well it's been more than 10 years that you could have bought what...version 8 of Resolve and have never paid for an upgrade? That's pretty insane to still be able to use V20 today after all that time with all the features it unlocks. I can't think of any other vendor that is like this.... It seemed more like the cloud features would be where you start to pay for monthly fees which I guess is justified (storage) It seems like though they aren't going to to subscription, just paid upgrades...maybe
  21. 100% agreed. The tendency is clear though: Chinese camera and videocamera manufacturers are growing more competent and we better get ready for a considerable change in the status quo.
  22. Thank you for your extensive reply. I was basing my info on the official Ronin blurb, as well as both the Adorama and B&H sites. Nowhere does it say you need all these additional elements clearly to make the most out of the cheapest kit. That's exactly the reason these gear-head forums need to exist. It's very easy to get tangled up by a barrage of technical data without the prior knowledge.

    My new lens?

Terrific range... And tool by consequence BTW -- let alone 6-stops at the wide end and 4.5-stops at the telephoto end which expands the number of shots you're able to get straight from your hands as you can see here (no replacement for a gimbal when walking for sure but why should it be anyway? ; ) Follows a dead silent AF and no breathing outcome...
  24. I thought that about picking up some FX3’s and my next wedding film would look like a sequel to The Creator. But stupidly, I stuck with my S5ii’s 😒
  25. ... and this is part of the problem. A lot of people will think that they just need to pick up a Ronin and they'll remake Adolescence. And yet, they won't be working with 3-4 camera ops, an entire lighting crew, huge drone + operator, car crane + operator, multiple sound engineers, etc. Local film competitions next year should be a little wild. 😅

I probably mistyped and the bloody thing replaced by Sigma instead (and I didn't take notice to correct it just in time) but the idea of three to four grand off STANDS anyway with... that Samyang you already know but that f/2.8 is only from 100mm on BTW: https://www.ephotozine.com/article/samyang-af-35-150mm-f-2-2-8-fe-lens-review-36714 You even have that extra stop you're willing to pay a premium price for at a wider end for a fraction of the price ; ) and a Sony's product design after all (since the Tamron is owned by them) with extra euros and not such a little difference though, just in the case you want to pay for QC you can do by your own* ;- ) * I'd rather suggest to take two units and you'll diminish in 50% your chances to not be down, that's the way my maths works... : P

I’d also be taking a look at the new Nikon Z5ii. Those more compact Tamron lenses will also work near natively with the Megadap adapter. It would make for a great relatively low cost, compact, high performing, affordable set up.
