It’s flown under the radar for video but the Sony 100 megapixel CMOS sensor is doing amazing things over in the Hasselblad camp – 4K RAW to be exact. You can see a great video of that below but first – I present to you the humble Fujifilm GFX 50S.
If I told you Fujifilm had a full frame mirrorless camera system to compete with the Sony A7R III, a lot of people would sit up and notice. However the GFX 50S is a medium format camera, and these don’t really register on the same radar screen as others.

Today the Swedes introduced a medium format mirrorless camera, proving that a 44 x 33 sensor can in fact be compact, in terms of both the body and lenses.
However the camera goes without the 4K RAW mode of the recently introduced H6-50C system with similar Sony 50MP CMOS and the H6-100C (100MP sensor). (Unhappy face).
It’s been a busy weekend in the DSLR community, so here’s a round-up of a bunch of the more significant news. The Canon 70D is to be released in August and represents the first proper revamp of the Canon APS-C line since 2009’s Canon 7D. Canon make grand claims over the new video and live-view optimised AF system but is the new sensor able to deliver the goods when it comes to image quality?

Medium format looks set finally to enter the world of live view, and that means video capabilities. There is a rumour circulating which suggests Phase One have a digital back for medium format / Hasselblad cameras which records RAW video.
