I thought those lenses are supose to be sharp? dont get me wrong i like the look but to me looks soft and not sharp at all compare to other like sankor must be the fd lens you are using. I just got me self one of those big lenses i belive its Bell and howell anamorphic and its sharper then sankor. And i can use 35mm and up with no vigneting at all but its a bitch being 5lbs

Can you post some videos of ef or any new recent lens.

Thanks Great work

Isco Ultrastars are very sharp.

Apparently it was a quick test for him, and either he was too quick or he wanted the video a bit out of focus?

Since, in that video the focal point is a bit off in all of the shots on either the anamorphic attachment or the lens - or both. Shooting those lenses with larger apertures gives you more work to nail the focus - both lenses need to be adjusted just right.

      Hi everyone!
I wanted to showcase my passion project "The Night Knows No Shore" here on EOSHD. I've been a long time reader of Andrew's blog and it was his footage that inspired me to get an Iscorama a long time ago.
After doing tests with it for a while I came up with this idea for a movie. And you can now see the result on youtube:

It's a project made by one single actor and one single crew member (me) with one single focal length (a Canon FD 85mm 1.8) and one single focus anamorphic lens ( Iscorama pre-36). Don't expect much action. It's a slow film with lots of monologues and no real plot. It's about one young man's thoughts on society, religion, art, philosophy, life in general. Have a look. If you don't like all the "pretentious" talking, maybe you like the footage. Let me know what you think. If you have any questions, just ask. Enjoy!

I'm selling a copy of the smallest Anamorphic lens in the world, the Baby Hypergonar 1.75x. It's been said there were only about 50 of these ever made. Designed by the OG, Henri Chretien, and made in 1957.
It is in great condition. Comes with a little black carry case. Really lovely copy, no scatches, fungus, haze. Body is in great shape. There are a few small coating blemishes on the front, but they are so hard to see I couldn't even capture them in the pictures, and they don't show up in performance.
Can be used by just focusing your taking lens or in combination with a single focus variable diopter. Neutral unique flares and beautiful rendering.
      - PRICE: $1500 USD
      - LENS NAME: Baby Hypergonar
      - CONDITION: Near Mint Optics, Mint Body
      - PAYMENT METHOD: PayPal
      - LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA, USA
      - FEES & SHIPPING: PayPal fees and shipping paid by buyer.

      Please PM me if interested
